Is there any reason to continue watching after Leland dies? I don't care about any of these subplots.
It's definitely a slog but absolutely worth pushing through, the season 2 finale is fantastic along with season 3
>season 3
I haven't gotten to it yet but I heard it's more like the movie but I saw the movie and there was almost no funny and it was so serious that it felt like another thing entirely
I dunno, I never hated S2 like everyone else, I like how feverish it is and the whole civil war delusion thing was funny enough. Sure, it's not as good, but it isn't irredeemable.
I like season 2 more than season 1 overall, but yeah it has some boring episodes.
The Civil War was cool, but frick me that whole sideplot with James and the Milf? And Wendy becoming a school girl like in my Japanese animes?
Those episodes are good if you view Twin Peaks as a soap opera like it's trying to be
It worth making it to the final episodes
Not particularly, until the last couple episodes. Then it gets fricking crazy and its amazing.
You should also watch the third season as well, its basically just a continuation of all the weird shit that made the first season great.
The movie is hyper serious, since the subject matter is basically a beautiful girl's downward spiral into drugs and self destructive behavior because of all the shit happening in her family.
Season 3 has some serious moments, like the opening, everything to do with Audrey's kid, and some other things that are much grittier. However, season 3 also has Dougie, which is basically nonstop weirdo hijinks mixed with plot intrigue. Its pretty great, and much easier to sit through than the second half of season 2,
On topic, Deadly Premonition I think gets the tone most accurately, so probably that. I sort of like Alan Wake, even if its a movie game and more derived from Stephen King, but that is probably the only one that comes off the top of my head.
God I wish some video game captured that weirdo chrasima of Twin Peaks and especially Dale Cooper.
It's like Evangelion. Snorefest held up by likeable characters until the ending where it suddenly becomes a masterpiece.
I naturally stopped watching after that episode, no one told me it gets shitty afterwards it just felt like a natural conclusion to me.
>every PS2 horror game
>twin-peak-like
Ah yes, the Twin Peaks-like of The Suffering
Season finale and The Return being absolute kino
Anyone play Gleaner Heights? Is it any good?
somehow after watching this show my loud voice turned into Gordon Cole's entire performance
>Basically any PS2 horror game
How are fatal frame, kuon, or hungry ghosts anything like Twin Peaks?
It's called an exaggeration used for comedic effect
Alan Wake is very Twin Peaks influenced. The log lady is even in it.
