Not him but I thought it was pretty good.
Only complaint I really had was the voice acting for a lot of the characters is awful.
Before I played it I was worried the lack of character customization would hurt it but once I played the game I realized it was more about party/map synergy and that most customization in other turn based strategy games is mostly an illusion anyway.
I hate Octopath more than anything.
Triangle Strategy is an actual great strategy game. I'm not sure I'd really compare it to XCOM or Fire Emblem and its much more like a Final Fantasy Tactics sort of game but with much more focused/synergistic abilities.
It's good just know ahead of time that its very story heavy and you will sometimes be watching an hour or so of poorly voiced cutscenes between battles. You can always skip them though if you don't give a shit and if you do give a shit the story is actually decent.

ty anons I might give it a second look.
I do enjoy a good fantasy story even if it is a bit cheesey but the 10 or so hours I played of Octopath felt like the blandest of the bland
This but opposite. Im actually ever so slightly interested in scarlet and violet because of how much fun I had with Arceus, plus it does at least look a little less shite than sword and shield.
>Hardmode: No Elden Ring
This implies that Elden Ring is an easy pick for GOTY, which it isn't, since it's just more rehashed Soulshit (in this case, Dark Souls 3.5 but open world and extremely padded out). Fromshit =/= quality. As such, anyone who picks Elden Ring as GOTY is a certified pleb.
Anyway, for me, it's a tie between Rogue Legacy 2 and Revita. Though I think Rogue Legacy 2 edges it out.
It wasn't huge and I would have liked a little more but I still really enjoyed it and wouldn't necessarily call it lazy either, the two new bosses were fantastic and the new sidemissions filled an important gap and were really fun, they still went over all the old bosses to give them some new stuff and every job getting two variants on top of the new jobs and weapon was surprising. I do think people should probably temper their expectations regarding DLC2 though, the Labyrinth is most likely going to function like the Underworld for example, but more and more I think the Summoning Stone might actually be the new weapon and we'll fight with monsters Folklore style.
I just hope we get transmog/refashioning.
And if the Labyrinth is going to be like the Underworld, I hope that the place where we fight bosses isn't the same garish glowing arena in Nioh 1/2.
Oh yeah absolutely, that and being able to change even one Job Affinity on gear once are two things that are very sorely missing, plus it would be nice for them to not have the character swap implemented in such a fricked way. But what I'm desperate for above all else is directional inputs for abilities to equip more, and having command abilities per job while shifting the Lightbringer and Chaosbringer inputs. It should be easy to implement and would put the combat on par if not potentially even better than Nioh. As for the arena, the obvious choice is probably the final boss one or if it's new then something similar, so I'd be alright with that.
Not even sure, PLA, ER, XC3, Splatoon 3 were all a ton of fun.
Maybe splat 3, never played a splatoon game before but now I want to play it all day, shit's addictive.
Akari kissu kissu
lol, awful taste

how is this game if you xcom, fire emblem etc, but fricking hated Octopath traveller because it was way too slow and generic

Looks fun.
why are you posting my wife?
Biggest dissapointment of 2022 maybe
Xenoblade 3 most likely.
Truly a terrible year for video games
Elden Ring
The only new game I have played this year besides elden rangz is trek to yomi so that wins
She is getting nakadashi from her boyfriend
best game I've played all year? why that would have to be Thief 2 again
Xenoblade 3, Elden Ring is a close second though
Same, mainly becauase it's the only game released this year I bought. It's not perfect but I really enjoyed it. Shame SV looks like shit
This but opposite. Im actually ever so slightly interested in scarlet and violet because of how much fun I had with Arceus, plus it does at least look a little less shite than sword and shield.
don't think i've played a 2022 game yet.
callisto protocol is probably going to be the only one unless the P5 port counts
Yeah, this year is kind of strange so far. Not a lot of good stuff and even the non AAA games are kind of garbo.
>What's your GOTY so far?
oh that's easy
Same, easy pick for me
Xeno 3 and it wasn't even that good, but to be fai I don't play that many new games.
I've only played street fighter 4. so that

based Jack's game enjoyer
I'm close to pirating it because I know I will really like it but I just wish it was on Steam.
I hope dlc2 is better. The first was so lazy it soured me on the game a bit.
Oh some based people beat me to it I see.

PLA and are mine.
I'd say Elden Ring but it about to be dethroned by Freedom Planet 2.
His game.
is this actually good?
I thought it was shit and people told me not to buy it and wait for a fix
Xeno 3 though the year isn't over yet
I doubt something can dethrone it though
Elden Ring is the only 2022 game i've played (together with Arceus and Stray but those are kinda shit), so that.
Not even sure, PLA, ER, XC3, Splatoon 3 were all a ton of fun.

First it was Elden Ring, now it's Xenoblade Chronicles 3
Special Shoutout to Neon White
I think the only candidate to snatch it away could be Bayonetta 3 for me.
GT7
XC3 is my runner up
grim dawn actually. pirated it off from fitgirl and its been eating most of my time. great game.
Needy streamer overdose and Kirby the forgotten land
pla was great i think its the only new game ive played this year. my goty is probs grandia
Ship of Harkinian
Genshin, obviously. Just like 2020 and 2021 and will be 2023-2027
Theres is just no competition
Thats embarrassing
for gaming industry, yes
Gundam Evolution
TWWH3 now that IE is out. Otherwise it would likely be ER.
