I play my Switch on the airplane or in bed/on the couch from time to time, and its fine. I wouldn't use it as a a dedicated handheld but before bed or while traveling its fine

I use mine in both modes, but I found that I only really like to play more casual games in handheld. After I got the Pro controller, joycons and just the size of the screen didn't seem appropriate for some games.
I use mine 99% of the time docked with the Pro. Just feels better to play on a large screen but for the purpose of a trip or on a couch handheld mode is alright. Also use it as a YT machine while cleaning or cooking
It really depends on the game. I have no problem playing Tetris in handheld mode, but Xenoblade now doesn't feel as good. Still like to play on the balcony sometimes, it's neat.
just buy the cheapest used switch you can and use it permanently docked.
what you really want is the ability to hotswap between multiple switches, not just docking/undocking a single unit. who knows, maybe that'll be a switch2 gimmick
Because no one wants it. I can't believe anyone is so autistic about not wanting the handheld aspect that they'd want a Switch TV. Get an aftermarket Switch that's missing Joy-Cons and a third party dock and shut the frick up.
I want this so bad it hurts. This is always what I wanted from Nintendo. It also wouldn't hurt if the pro controller D-pads were fixed. They suck.
This was a great model. Wish I had the funds to collect physical Wii games. There are a lot of cheap ones, but most of the ones you want are selling for an arm and a leg.
I have a pro and this thing at home and they feel exactly the same from materials to weight. You can see some prints on the battery from the back cause they are clear and its exactly the same chingchong letters.
Seems like a completely useless device for only the poorest of poorgays.
I know this board is full of hikki neets who never leave the house that are scared and confused by the concept of handheld gaming, but things are better handheld, and the switch is better as a handheld first. It’s why it’s so successful, and why home consoles are stagnating as a result.
This shit could actually sell, since it doesn't use moronic mandatory proprietary memory like the Vita TV. Shame the switch library actually kinda sucks though.
But I could see this being a pretty decent product for people that never owned a Wii U.
No thanks.
The whole point of the Switch is portability. If you want to play Switch games sitting, that's what a PC is for.
They wouldn't be able to upcharge you on needless components, so never.
Switch is a terrible portable system.

you are moronic
the switch is literally made for little japanese kids with baby hands
Cool, so you use it like a Wii U.

Not every game has perfect emulation yet.
The only game that's worth it on Switch is Splatoon, and you can't emulate Splat.
>Switch is portability
>needs a bag to carry
>only lasts about 1-1/2
Such portability. Might as well get a laptop.
this
i'm still waiting for 4DS to play new etriam odyssey
I’m not a nintendo guy but I’d buy that, Nintendo Vita TV
Never. It's a handheld that can connect to the TV and nothing else.
More likely to see a cell tech and functionality added than a box made.
How well did the super gameboy do?
>$120.
I love when gays just illustrate their wishful thinking without any reasoning to back it up.
No battery, no dock, no screen, cheaper cooling and design.
That is easily $100-150 less.
I doubt these things make up that much. I doubt even more that Nintendo would actually reduce the price that much.
Anon, the price of Nintendo products doesn't correlate with the price of the components they're made of.

Too cheap for modern greedy nintendo.
That was a decade ago

Doesn't the pro controller alone cost like $80?
Nope, when I got it, it was $62 on Amazon
Theres night runs of the switch pro on german Amazon for 30€ From time to time. Only the Nintendo imprints missing everything else is identical.
>everything else is identical
Prove it.
Kek I just googled it. It looks physically the same but its a third party controller by Tykevo.
I have a pro and this thing at home and they feel exactly the same from materials to weight. You can see some prints on the battery from the back cause they are clear and its exactly the same chingchong letters.
>and its exactly the same

Are these legit good, and do they have gyro?
They do actually have a lot of good reviews, and I feel like I'm being played.
$10 to make, $60 MSRP.
>Switch mini the size of an original DS, maybe with a clamshell design
I would genuinely consider buying it.
Seems like a completely useless device for only the poorest of poorgays.

>You will buy what are essentially mobile games on our extremely limited hardware and you will like it
Nah, I play PC games.
A cheap windows 11 PC that size would be nice.
like a $200 surface go.
If they did a home console only Switch I'd rather they make something with more power not some PS TV looking thing.
I would buy this. I hate using the switch as a portable and I'm paranoid about the longevity of the hardware, because of the battery and USB-C port.
What is that? A battery bank?
>nintendo releases 7 billion different variations of the 3DS
>doesn't release a basic switch with no gimmicks
literally why

Nice fake.
But PS Vita was a good idea, bad execution due to the stupid memory cards.
Holy shit, it's fake? No way! What gave it away? I thought it was a completely legitimate leak!
It was the 3rd pixel from the bottom right.
It has the same hex values as my mom, and therefore it's been used by everyone. therefore fake.
Still waiting for this. Half considering getting a damaged used switch tablet and gutting it for this purpose.
>$120.
lol
lmao even
The $150 Shield TV has the same processor, half the memory and 1/4 the storage.
>120$ for some old tegra soc
The vita tv is such a kino console, so small.
