    It's possible we could see improved screens and battery performance, maybe some tweaks to things like the trackpad, upgraded magnetic sticks, etc but don't expect any major changes to the CPU/GPU config for quite some time
    In addition to not being necessary, a major benefit of the Deck is being able to undercut competitors who rely on hardware profits, so they have less incentive to make it more expensive.

    question is, will other manufacturers try to make their own devices that run SteamOS
    that is Valve's goal, right?
    to have SteamOS be the Android for gaming hardware?
    they tried with Steam Machines, but manufacturers messed up
    now Valve demonstrated that not fricking yields great results. Will SteamOS agenda work now?

      Not yet. The chinks are just pushing their own linux builds that dial home, instead. They'll only switch to SteamOS if people keep buying the Steam Deck even if their chink shit has technically higher specs.
