I don't know if I've seen a game jerk off mocap that looked appealing yet. Until Dawn and LA Noire come to mind, but that's mostly just characters standing around and talking.
Ppl aren't doing nutty shit in that game though, specials are irrelevant outside of combos, chars don't have archetypes/play the same, and the meta just boils down to block jabs over and over which I think is a really stupid design to begin with(being able to attack while blocking). There is a reason why MK2 on fightcade gets more players than UMK3. And if i'm being honest, no MK game is actual "good" or even all that fun for pvp play until the NRS era.
It had the biggest and best cast of the initial trilogy after which there wasn't a good game until MK9 and beyond and those weren't as fun. MK9 did have a frick ton of good content though.

gameplay? honestly up for debate. depends on if you liked the 3D arena vs the more typical 2D .
Im talking about character designs and details not just coloration. we got hot Mileena back and all the women werent built like Fridges like they were in MK9. the gameplay was fine. Nothing crazy but just run of the mill NRS gameplay. Visually there was a drastic jump to give a more detailed realistic look. I hate that they moved away from armageddon Sheeva though
It was just a very very solid game imo. Plus Predator and Jason Vorhees. I cant find a lot to complain about in that game except the fact that Rain was in the game story mode but not playable on the roster (frick you) and the dayone steam launch post preload which was a awful experience
