When I got my first big boy graphics card and still ended up playing literal slide show VNs, adventure games and PC engine roms. Also left such a bad taste that I skipped the next gen entirely and missed nothing.
After my Xbox 360 burned out for no real reason other than their shitty hardware manufacturing. After getting a decent PC I realized consoles are pointless, outside of a small handful of exclusives. At this point, you can emulate all of them anyway, aside from the latest gen.
In like 1998 when my brother installed nesticle abd snes9x and i could play all the games without renting them. Things hace not changed, paying for games is optional and i have no intention to play skinnerboxes.
I remember when my friend showed he could play pokemon yellow on his pc. This was before silver and gold was released. My mind was absolutely blown the fuck out, i yelled "how is this possible!" and freaked out.
Always been a PChad primarily. At one point used to buy consoles on the cheap at the tail end of their lifespans when they could be modded or the games were super cheap second hand, so I could play any exclusives I missed out on. However, I stopped doing that after the PS3/360 era, because console exclusives aren't a thing anymore and all the current gen consoles are completely useless.
this pretty much.
stopped doing that during that gen too.
got a ps4 on the cheap but even if i could there's nothing i feel like pirating that i cant already play on pc.
>be me >ps2 era gaming >friend installs half-life on my glorious 6 gig HD compaq presario
i had spent a lot of time on PC but never really fully committed to it fully until that. BM98, stepmania and torrenting obscure weeb shit definitely helped too. being able to pause a download and start it again later was some mind blowing quality of life when my poorfag ass only had netzero and juno 56k internet free trial spam for web access.
When Valve made and integrated Proton into Steam, thus making POS Wine obsolete and made my Linux machine being able to play more and more games.
Was using Linux since high school so was forced to play on consoles and only old PC games before then.
When I noticed shooters on it had much more nuance and customization that let me bind a key for damn near anything I want all at once. So 2000's roughly.
I'm too stupid and lazy to set up a computer, I just buy the lastest AAA slop my other stupid lazy friends and playing for $70+ plus tax plus tip plus battlepass games.
I'm too much of a childish fucking animal to understand anything else.
Discworld, Monkey Island and King's Quest back in the 90s when I was a young kid and my mum played them. I've always prefered story games because of that.
My childhood. Used to wake up at 5am before school when everyone else was asleep so I could get some pc time to play.
God, oekaki is so soulful
Back in the PS360 era. Never going back to consoles.
When I got my first big boy graphics card and still ended up playing literal slide show VNs, adventure games and PC engine roms. Also left such a bad taste that I skipped the next gen entirely and missed nothing.

Can't wait for the next busted release to see the PCrying threads and saying how new games aren't worth it
Imagine being so deep into the cucksole mentality.
I’m 100% sure there’s something going on with their relationship.

I haven’t. PCs have given me too many issues. I still mine, but I don’t consider it my end all be all

Pretty smart. I remember running through my snes favorites on emulator too.

I've had PC and PS consoles almost my whole life, I see no reason to limit gaming to a single platform.
When I discovered I could download a game for free, and also mod it
Literally never owned a console unless you count the Amiga 500 as one.
When the PS4 was announced and it no longer had online for free.
Similar, but with Nintendo. They went full cancer, I went full PC.
In the UK a 4090 is £1,700. Here it is not the way to go lol

When they tried to charge me for using internet
When they announced the PS4/xbone.
I could smell the bullshit from miles away.

Y'know, there are some things that are too sad and pathetic to be honest about.
Discworld, Monkey Island and King's Quest back in the 90s when I was a young kid and my mum played them. I've always prefered story games because of that.
