2013
>thought graphics would just get better and better and we'd eventually be running games on 16k 480hz monitors
2023
>1080p 60hz for the same 2013 game, but for 4x the power draw and heat
It's not even about GPU prices at this point. I just don't wanna play my games in the fucking Sahara desert, at this time of year, at this time of day, localized within my bedroom.
>same 2013 game
Retard
Anon's right though?
>Same 2013 game
>Anon's right though
Yeah, just like how the Dead Space remake was the same game as the original Dead Space
Oh wait, it wasn't. Completely different engine, different lighting, different textures
maybe stop being a poor piece of shit if you want to run "Ultra" with 4K Ray-tracing.
You're too poor to even afford a 4K monitor so why are you bitching?
The "Performance" setting PC is less than $800 in parts, and they're all years old.
Get off your piece of shit Windows 7, GTX 970 machine and stop complaining.
The “5800XT” is not even a real graphics card
new games?
>retarded poor fag
>reddit moron spacing
>LE OLD GAME
>it's a complete remake in fact
>b-BUT WHY WONT THIS RUN ON MY 20 YEAR OLD PC ;___;
cry me a river you giant gay
>why won't this 20 year old game run on my 20 year old PC
Umm, yes? Why not?
They don't get paid to optimize they get paid to force you to buy new hardware so the answer is never.
>When will devs finally start optimizing again?
DLSS exists, so never
This. DLSS and FSR are pure gay cope for developers. The sad part is, they marketed it to the buyer first. The people that talk it up are just enabling gay devs with no motivation.
>b-but it helps meeeeee!!!
It shouldn't have to.
everyone knows recommended requirements are just that, recommend. Plenty of games run fine on older/lesser hardware. Games like Hogwarts legacy and returnal were telling people they would need a 4080 yet it runs fine on my 3060 ti. Don't listen to the fear mongering
>get the whole experience by watching it on youtube
>barely even need a gt 730
Sorry cuckmann, maybe next time.
I've got a two 1440p 240hz monitors and a 4090.
Works on my machine 🙂

>watching a snoy movie port
>When will devs finally start optimizing again?
you WILL upscale
you WILL enjoy the blur
you WILL use fake frames
you WILL be HAPPY
IBFUCKING HATE MODERN GAME BLUR. UNREAL ENGINE FUCK OFF. MAKE CRISP GRAPHICS NOT BLURRY SHIT
>PS5 game
>Requires 10 year old CPU and 9 year old GPU minimum
>not having at least 16GB ram in year 2023
I donut see the issue.
pretty soon you'll need 1tb of ram to run shit fucking moron games like rust
When you stop being a gay treating pc as a console and consoles as wannabe pcs. Not happening btw, pc is normalfag now.
>my rig is now recommended for 1080/60
Jesus Christ.
who cares, AAA is shit and graphics don't make a game good.
Why is sony sending all these ports to die? Why devalue their brand porting shit to pc if they are not going to put any effort into it?
Because of their lawsuit with MS
>again
>it's another "games aren't optimized because I can't run them on max settings on low-end hardware from nearly a decade ago" episode
Don't you get tired of making and replying to the same shitty threads over and over?
Like it or not, we're in a transition period where 16gb ram is slowly being replaced by 32gb ram
as the standard for AAA games.
Remember when 10 years ago 8gb ram was pretty good but nowadays it's shit? Same thing.
Wow, you mean like how by 2006 having 64MB of RAM, which was pretty nice in 1998, was no longer sufficient?
>he isn’t already on 64gb
The team that worked on the Arkham Knight and Uncharted pc port are working on this
>optimizing
Discord, which runs under the fucking garbage that is Electron, is currently the most used app. The era of optimization is gone, nowadays the go-to reply that most retards will give is
>JUST BUY A BETTER MACHINE LMAO
Do you people want better graphics or worse graphics? You change your minds daily.
>thought graphics would just get better and better and we'd eventually be running games on 16k 480hz monitors
The graphics DID get better, at the cost of performance
These two things have an inverse relationship to each other
