How many other "off the shelf nvidia tablets" thought to base the unit around the ability to plug into the telly, or plug controllers to the side to play portably?
Or were Nintendo the first ones to see the potential of turning a home console unit into a handheld multi-way system?
Remember, when everyone else chased "graffix", Nintendo decided to make a console to compliment PC gaming.

I don't know, how many consoles have the same internal specifications as an Nvidia K1 Shield tablet?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nvidia_Shield_Tablet
Which, by the ways, does ALL of those features, because it's Android and flexible, and also has a proper mini-HDMI port. >Or were Nintendo the first ones to see the potential of turning a home console unit into a handheld multi-way system?
The concept is novel, but it doesn't work, because you've basically just given us a TABLET. >Remember, when everyone else chased "graffix", Nintendo decided to make their shit
Yes, I too remember the N64 and Gamecube.
Jokes aside, I also do remember the Wii, Wii U, and both handheld lines. Nintendo has a method to their madness, and it showed.
The Switch seemingly throws all of that out, and for what fricking reason?
Anyways... >Nintendo decided to make a console to compliment PC gaming.
Pic rel, Nintendo didn't do it. They still haven't done it.
People getting scammed by Steam Deck will never not be funny.

How is it even a scam? It does what Valve has advertised:A Linux based handheld computer.

You still haven't explained how the Switch, a console which brings NOTHING to the table other than to be easily emulated only 4 years into its lifespan, somehow "compliments" PC.
Especially when I can use the Steam Deck for exclusively emulating games, while I use my PC for actual heavy work.

I don't even own a deck man, I have a hefty PC to do everything, including replace the fricking Switch I own. Not that it matters, the only game I found fun on the Switch was Luigi's Mansion.

Probably the fact it's a first=-Gen model and Valve have a habit of dropping ood ideas as soon as they think them?
I mean, even I said I'd get the SECOND edition, revised Steam Deck model, but I also know that may be a pipedream, given Valve killed steamboxes, despite pushing hard for them.

Last I checked, the Steambox also didn't exactly fair well, but I see your point.
By the ways, Greg coomer has said Valve's committing to a second model.

From what I gather, delays to the controller and the fact the steam link offered basically a steambox-like set-up when connected to a person's existing PC helped kill its hype, but I'll also believe they're making a new model when they announce and actually try and push for it to succeed as hard as they pushed for Steam to be a thing (HL2 being Steam-exclusive, etc).
Valve talk a great game, but don't make great hardware.
Stem deck's replacing the PC, Switch works in concert with it, in effect completing the gaming ecosystem this Gen by allowing you to play most "exclusive" titles. But sure, be misinformed and wont to spread it as fact.

>YYAAAAAAS I CANT WAIT TO PLAY THE GAME I ALREADY OWN EXCEPT IT LOOKS SHITTIER AND HAS WORSE MECHANICS
I hate remakegays with a burning passion holy shit
>HAS WORSE MECHANICS
This is usually rectified BY the remake where it just modernizes the old mechanics, but modern remakes don't understand that taking old gameplay and just throwing out key components isn't the formula for a good remake.
Yes, I am salty.
They knew there was no point putting grindy shit into it in the modern era as kids wouldn't play it, cumstain.
The opposite held true 20-odd years ago, as there wasn't the conflux of entertainment options available to all that today sees so tehy could draw out a kid's experience by making it grindy as shit, but due to that conflux today, remakes are going to frick out shit that will not be accepted by modern gamers. Frick, it's unironically why EXP share is always-on, so you don't NEED to go full-autist grinding to keep parity between party members (or rather, so kids won't end up with an overleveled starter and level-what shitter whobies along for the ride like you had as a kid).
>They knew there was no point putting grindy shit into it in the modern era as kids wouldn't play it, cumstain.
Fricking, I'm a Zoomer and I remember spending fricking hours on ROBLOX tycoons in 2014, even though shit like brickbattles with unlockable weapons were still very common!
To claim that it's because "kids don't have the attention span for it" is blatantly fricking false, it's because THEY cannot make an entertaining product anymore.
>YYAAAAAAS I CANT WAIT TO PLAY MY OBJECTIVELY OUTDATED GBA GAME WITH ARCHAIC MECHANICS AND ZERO QOL IMPROVEMENTS BECAUSE MUH CHILDHOOD

Yeah well /vp/ is full of dumb homosexuals so that’s not a surprise. Literally the only thing I’d say the remake does worse is not letting you walk around the friend areas, but that shit doesn’t even have anything to do with the main gameplay so it’s a minor gripe at worst
Hopefully, never.
The Switch is not a Nintendo console, and I hate it with a passion.
>The Switch is not a Nintendo console
Okay that's just objectively untrue
HOW IS THIS GOD FORSAKEN OFF THE SHELF NVIDIA TABLET WITH ABSOLUTELY NO FRICKING CHARM OR EFFORT PUT INTO IT A FRICKING NINTENDO CONSOLE?

So it can have soul less 3d graphics like DX? lol
Suck my wiener, OP.
>NOOOOOOOOOOO NOT 3D ANYTHING BUT 3D AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
It doesn't need one
I'd prefer to get a new game

Ok zoomer.
Rescue Team DX has objectively better gameplay than the originals though
Old good, new bad, don't you know how this place works?

Never. The best you'll get is a Time/Darkness remake that MIGHT include some Sky content.
pmd 1 remake didn't sell more than 15 million copies so never
If you are lucky you will get a pmd gacha
I want a new game instead.
Skytemple has far surpassed any potential future reboot. I am happy with the stream of new pmd content that comes with it.
