unquestionably duskwood. it's really not even up for debate, and i say that as a ride or die hordegay.

That alliance early game one near Stranglethorn where the Elite level Abomination walks around and murders Alliance players. I loved going there on my Undead and watching Alliance die to him, so funny. Sometimes I'd help them kill him, other times I"d pretend to help them and let him kill them. Hehehehe....

The Elwyn>Westfal>Redridge>Duskwood progression will forever be my favorite start in any game and I dont even like humans.
It just frels so cohesive and like you are actually going on real adventure, being some literally who bum whos slowly climbing the ranks.
Definitely among blizzard's best work and it shows how much more work they did with that than with the horde zones.

Yep, thats the definitive classic questing progression. Varied zones, good storylines, great progression.

A lot of the Northrend zones are top-tier, it feels like a real place with how much different shit is going on. In Howling Fjord alone you've got
      >Vrykul
      >Alliance/Forsaken
      >Tuskarr revenge
      >Corrupted dryad grove
      >Explorer's League investigating Iron Dwarf shit
      >Group of insane pirates on an island
      >Lead-in to the weird Grizzly Hills worgen plot

I always found un'goro incredibly boring, just a giant circle with randomly spawned enemies...
Feralas even more so, easily one of the most forgettable zones
Darkshore is not only fricking depressing, but also a huge pain in the ass to level in
And im saying this as someone who pretty much exclusively played a Nelf all the time and loves nelf aesthetics.

            >Feralas even more so, easily one of the most forgettable zones
Feralas was pretty amazing. You had a good variety of quests and mob types. It had a ton of mountains and hills so you weren't just gank bait where an enemy player could spot you for a mile away across a flat plane.
Best of all it had the best scammer duo I've ever seen in the game or any game.
            >hey buddy want to get teleported to the top of this giant mountain that is just a sheer cliff drop in all directions?
            >sure
            >gets teleported, realize you can't go down without risking death
            >see an NPC
            >hey want to buy a parachute? That'll be 20 silver

Darkshore is for night elf starters who went from darnassus. Something very creepy about it.

I was a elf turd who went from night elf starter area, darkshore, then met up with human mates and did westfall, lakeridge, duskwood, stranglethorn. Absolutely fricking kino trek through wetlands to iron forge, tram ride to storm wind to meet them. I wouldn't change that progression path for the first play through, perfection.

The only bad thing was it basically made everything else seem shite. Any horde play through felt like utter shit in comparison

Swap darkshore for burning stepps, that truly was crap. Darkshore isn't one of the best but pre-cata it was at least creepy and somewhat interesting. It needed to be more spooky but clearly they didn't want it to go that route because it would just be another duskwood
