3 is close but it has bad puzzles and you get too much ammo (even by RE standards)

    Kamiya's. 2
1 in comparison is a Alone in the Dark clone with (untentional) b movie shit, trial and error traps, not enough variety in locations, kinda boring characters, etc. Both are great though

    Resident evil 3 because:

    - The most important part is, resident evil 3 is the one with most variety of female zombies. Resident evil 1does not have any female zombies. Resident evil 2 only have one type and is very rare to find(there are only like 5 of them in the entire "normal" mode). Meanwhile in resident evil 3 there are a big variety of female zombies with a lot of clothes and hair styles. Sad the fact there are no female zombies prostitutes or female zombies pole dancers, but still is good to see there are a lot of female zombies.

    - By far, more weapons variety than resident evil 1.

    - You can skip the boring talks by press the start button(in resident evil 1 and 2 you have to hear those boring talks everytime you play them).

    - Fat male zombies(there are not a single fat zombie in resident evil 1 and 2). Thats means again, more zombies variety the better.

    - In the "mercenaries" mode you can play as a traitor who looks and sounds like he is already in his early 40s(yet he is the "experts" option only).

    - There are many oil barrels and dynamite around, so you can lure the enemies to them, shot at them, and when the enemies explode you can tell them "happy new year!".

    - You can explore more the city than in resident evil 2.

    - You can hear a music box in a puzzle.

-You can see some rain in some rooms(in resident evil 1 and 2 there are not rain at all).

The only bad thing about resident evil 3 is that it feels too short(wich is obvious because Capcom
    rushed in finishing it).

But still, a better game than resident evil 1 and 2.

Shame that "higher number, therefore better!" isn't how game design works. 2 is easily the more flawless and more wholistic game

They are all logical continuations of each other, they are different enough that it's unfair to grade them under the same standards.

    >1
Tough but fair adventure game. Best balance of horror and action, enemies are few but they are lethal

    >2
Movie-like experience. Technological advances made it possible to now have many enemies at once, which was visually impressive but it changed the formula too much, and it also ramped up the action. Atmosphere and tone are objectively great so it s still a great game even if its a lot easier this time around

    >3
Action game. Originally imagined as an arcadeesque spin-off action game, it was very late in the development that they decided to bring Jill back and shoehorn in a few additional areas to make it long enough for a numbered title. Hence a lot more action, faster gameplay, faster running speed and everything else that comes with it. Mechanically its the pinnacle of tank controls, it feels very smooth to play and control. It still has plenty of atmosphere but the pacing is too fast compared to the more serene feeling 1 and 2.

They are all worth playing and are very well polished games. No need to choose just one.

if RE3 is an action game explain why it got more and better puzzles than both re1 and especially 2,i found the uv light puzzle nice in RE1.

What puzzles? The only actual puzzle RE3 has is the water sample puzzle. It also has the voltage puzzle in the power plant which is a rehash of RE2's basement puzzle. And its rehashed again as the oil filter-whatever the frick it is puzzle in the gas station.

Dont get me wrong, I enjoy RE3 a lot. Boss fights are challenging, small non-linear moments and randomness of certain events make it fun to replay. But its a balls to the wall action game. When you read about its development things fall into place a lot better.

the first game is my favorite one because of the setting, but 2 is a better game

Having just played all 3, I’d have to go with 3:
It’s the only actually tense and scary one because of Nemesis chasing you around and actually kicking your ass is you’re not on your a game. I insisted on fighting him a few times and got all the stuff up to the first aid kits and it was really satisfying pulling off dodges and knocking him down. 3 kicked my ass, and I enjoyed it.

RE2 best paced, best production design (characters, enemies, weapons, environment), best value (A/B scenario).

    1. 2 is comically easy and has no tension because you basically have infinite health. 3 is just meh. 1 has the best setting, atmosphere, and sovl

    3.
    >Best boss fights
    >Best controls
    >Best combat
    >Raccoon City streets are far more interesting than a mansion or Police Station
    >Actually difficult
    >Justifive giving the player lots of ammo since the game has a lot of enemies
    >Better puzzles
    >Replayable because of RNG
    >Because of the nature of the game, areas don't drag on for too long
    >Merc mode
Honestly, I have no idea why RE2 is so beloved when it simplifies a lot of what made RE1 good. It's just as bad when it comes to ammo drops like RE3, but that game actually has a lot of enemies to compensate for it. RE2 is a good game, but it feels like it plays itself where I don't really have to put much thought into anything. Just keep pressing forward, and you will beat the game.

      >Best boss fights
If you like fighting the same dude 8 times lmao. Grave digger is trash and skippable, though all bosses in RE up to RE4 are trash tbqh
      >Best controls, best combat
      Yes
      >Raccoon City streets are far more interesting than a mansion or Police Station
Japanese back alleys? Nah. Ill just play Shenmue instead
      >Justifive giving the player lots of ammo since the game has a lot of enemies
The game for Jill is a joke outside of nemesis encounters, Carlos actually has some challenge.
      >Replayable because of RNG
I got a grenade launcher instead of the magnum! Murphy! *Soiface*. The worshiping at the altar of the pseudo choice "branching paths" is probably the cringiest part of the classic RE formula. You got a 10 second cutscene and two extra prerendered background bro, the game structure has not changed. Get back on the Cable Car Shinji! Mercs (the best part of the game) adds wayyyy more replayability and challenge

      >Honestly, I have no idea why RE2 is so beloved
Cause the walking teratoma dabs all over that down syndrome burn victim and TOFU > UCBS.

        >If you like fighting the same dude 8 times, lmao
The only mandatory fights are Grave Digger, Clock Tower Nemesis, Acid Bath Nemesis, and Slug Nemesis, and each of them is completely different from one another Meanwhile, 2 has the same "Slow enemy walking towards you" boss fights with the final boss being a literal wall.
        >Japanese back alleys?
As opposed to Japanese building hallways? At least there's more diversity with the environments.
        >The game for Jill is a joke outside of nemesis encounters
And the previous games are even bigger jokes and they don't have something like Nemesis.
        >The worshiping at the altar of the pseudo choice "branching paths" is probably the cringiest part of the classic RE formula.
Holy shit, you're a moron. RE3 RNG also applies to enemies' placements and items spawns and some puzzles. And then you have ammo crafting along with enchanted ammo, snd mercs that unlock weapons for the main story.
        >Cause the walking teratoma dabs all over that down syndrome burn victim
He does if you're a little homosexual that likes playing games on easy.

RE2; RE3 is a close second. I think RE2 has better atmosphere, even though they're both set in RC.
