            No. See:

BB, but Sekiro is also very good. Those two games are the "pure experiences." everything else is a bloated mess except demon's

It's considered the worst as you can see except possibly ER

Bloodborne has more universal appeal since everyone loves gothic beasts and ayy lmaos. Sekiro is more uniquely focused and I think its characters are more rich for that, so I give it to Sekiro.

Sekiro is as perfect and simple as a game can be.

Can't really say because BB has been stuck on the PS jail for almost a decade, but sekiro was a unique experience with a very satisfying combat and non of the usual souls tropes or rpg mechanics.

They're threads for deciding which is the best in the hierarchy of souls games. It is an actual referential that people care about and argue with as a tool. For every new entry in any franchise, argument is had about its place in the hierarchy of its predecessors. Elden Ring was situated. A number of times was Sekiro or Bloodborne brought up as either the best, sometimes "dueling at the top" during these highly intellectual debates so these threads are it.
A bot may be used to spare OP from writing a few words. It's entirely bossible, they're getting very good.

        Sekiro isn't a "Souls" game
Just say From game or Miyazaki's game

          All of these titles suck.
It's not fair to shove aside all the other games From made and AC4 is liable to be erased from Miyazaki's pedigree.
          I propose Soulsbornkiroring games.

I would say Sekiro takes place in a dying world. It's the Sengoku Period, constant warring between warlords and all that. Isshin gained power through a coup, and by the end of the game Ashina has fallen. You did brutally fight through all of the land's defenses, allowing for the Interior Ministry to basically waltz in.
Genichiro pursues heretic powers to save Ashina, and Isshin actively works against him by helping you. In essence, he's letting Ashina fall honorably instead of giving into the heretical ways that Bloodborne's Healing Church fell into, for example.
I think it's a beautifully tragic story in that sense, still filled with hope but in a dying world. I dunno why people dont consider this a Soulslike, the story beats remind me of it

How would you reconcile the deflecting system with large beasts? Would probably work against enemy hunters tho.

        Anonymous

NTA but Sekiro has giant beastly enemies already (ogres, bulls, centipedes, Guardian Ape, Demon of Hatred).

Does the Sekiro combat deal with them better than Bloodborne IYO? I have only played Bloodborne.

            Anonymous

Demon of hatred and guardian ape, yes.
            All the others, frick no.

            Anonymous

Bulls and centipedes are gimmicky fights which are pretty simplistic, but that's not rare in Sekiro. Ogres would be fine but their constant grabs make them really aggravating. Guardian Ape is one of the best fights in the game, and Demon of Hatred is alright, but it's overtuned as an endgame optional boss (think Orphan and Laurence).

So really the mechanics can support such fights fine. I wouldn't it necessarily does them better than BB more than the systems are generally better. One thing both games have in common though is that most beastly enemies are just humanoids, so I don't really think there's much of a difference anyway.

Deflection is one tool among many the game offers, and the ubiquitous nature of what it offers (time your guard against an attack to do a bit of posture damage, recover faster and avoid guard break) means it works just fine when fighting larger enemies and monsters that have slower attacks and bigger punish windows, because it already naturally isn't something you always want to do, and you have a high degree of mobility outside of it.

    >muh build variety gays
Can we all just be real here and admit that From's best games are these two precisely because there is a "correct" way to play them, meaning all bosses are balanced around how you're intended to play? Besides, the minmaxing you can do in Bloodborne to use a specific Trick Weapon is 100 times more satisfying than going from a fricking strength build to a magic build in DaS, because Trick Weapons are just much cooler and versatile.

It's a difficult boss fight. Staying aggressive works really well against him, but you still need to learn his moves. I usually get up in his face and hit him until he blocks two attacks in a row and then deflect his incoming attack or mikiri/jump as needed for perilous attacks. If he jumps back he may then jump up and shoot 4 arrows in quick succession, but if you manage to hit him before that he'll drop down giving you a free hit otherwise just be ready to deflect them.
