yeah, basically. even now my library is 90% digital. it's just easier than waiting for a package to arrive or leaving the house *just* to get a game. very few games feel worth taking up physical space, elden ring being the last box copy I got before SH2. some other poor sap can take soul hackers 2 off my hands from ebay

Do you still install programs on your PC via physical media? Or on your smartphone? It's just a lot nicer. The collectables are cool. I like it when you can get it separate from the game. Otherwise, staying physical these days is like sticking with Cassette after the CD dropped.

But the game might be broken on disc and require a patch which won't be available when the store closes someday, same as a digital purchase. Agree with the other ones though. Also less risk for day 1 buy, as you can just put it on ebay when it sucks.
I live in Australia, meaning to download a game I have leave it downloading overnight, it takes forever even on expensive plans.
It’s much quicker to go to local shops and buy a copy, than rely on Australian internet.

SH2 is a slog. I really tried to finish it but I just wished I was playing something else for far too long.
I'm glad I got SH2 physical so I could get rid of it for something, at least.
That's the only reason I can think of to go physical anymore: Trade-ins. Otherwise, it's so much more convenient to go digital.
