Great taste they're my 2 favorites as well. Antichamber on Steam is a blast but there isn't much of a narrative to it. Worth grabbing on special based on your tastes
>there isn't much of a narrative to it
Good, puzzle games don't need them. It was cringe in Talos Principle, fortunately you could easily avoid 90% of it and enjoy the game.
>pseudo intellectual dialogue with computer screen >omg this is so deep
finished the game in 2 days and i want my time back >shitty repeatable puzzles intertwined with the hardest attempt at contemplation of life in video game history >it amounts to telling you your arguments are wrong because they just are
great game morons
i have to agree. 2kliksphilip (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkAxJGU4oJ4) sold me on this one and was kinda disappointed. it's still a decent puzzle game with good looking environments and a decent story.
the music is pretty kino tho.
it's a good game overall and there are worse games that get sequels.
nah the puzzles are great, the ambience is great, the environments are great, the suspense was great but you're 1000% right about the writing being pseud shit
Holy based I loved The Talos Principle. Is this actually PS5 exclusive or just times? I'm not buying a snoy cucksole ever again but it'd be annoying if I had to wait on this
>Is this actually PS5 exclusive or just times?
the devs are tech autists you can expect this game to be released on fucking everything, the 1st game can be played natively on linux
No it's not a sony exclusive lol, it will be on steam and other platforms. I already wishlisted it on steam
Good stuff. I remember the original TTP ran great on my toaster of a laptop back in 2016 so I expect they'll optimize TTP2 nicely as well
Not to rain on your parade, but surely you remember Serious Sam 4.
Although I sure hope they won't try to make puzzles that need tens of square miles of land and will settle for using SS3 engine instead.
>Is this actually PS5 exclusive or just times?
the devs are tech autists you can expect this game to be released on fucking everything, the 1st game can be played natively on linux
Yeah its all the Serious (sam) engine. Its why you can move so stupidly fast in Talos Principle, even tho there is really no reason for you to be able to.
I finished all stars(assisted) all gold/silver pieces(unassistes) tower)unassisted( in 2021 but droppes it on the dlc due to burnout maybe =/.
one thing that bothered me is whether I actually beat the game by out of bounds solving puzzles which clearly had a real solution, which I just couldn't understand.
I thought it was a neat game. It was also funny for being an unusually SERIOUS game from the guys who make meme shootans, and they pulled it off better than most.
Okay that's cool and all but what about an old school shooter spinoff where you play as The Talos Dude (voiced by an AI (and John Dick as a DLC voice)) running and gunning up the Tower to kill Elohim, and the serpent is your quippy AI sidekick that lives in your head or whatever?
tfw I was happy to see both DD2 and TTP2 announced. They were the only highlights of the showcase for me. Still mad about no Bloodborne remake/remaster/pc port
I thought the writing was bit over the top at times, overly cinematic, but it is possible that people when faced with extinction like to think it was not all for naught and start to see all the good things in humanity and ignore the bad ones.
The Talos Principle has genuine philosophical depth. I'd put it up there with anything Kojima has made, Final Fantasy X, The Forgotten City, Stanley Parable, Disco Elysium etc
I put plague tale in the pass filler category. I hope you guys like this new term that I came up with. Thank you all in advance I hope you all had an excellent day.
How is this a bad thing again? If I finish it in a month I'll pay like $15 for the whole experience lol. I love my physical collection but things like Gamepass are hugely financially beneficial depending on your living circumstances
I did, fuck you
The first game is a great puzzler with a cool story and easily one of the best in the genre. Super fucking comfy and godlike pc options menu
Just to get the narrative from Talos Principle you had to dig through the hardest puzzles since I remember pretty much all of the pre-extinction diary entries were locked behind the super secret puzzle areas.
if you skipped that it was just a robot running the program up until one of them finally attained the bugged state known as Free Will.
This was the case for SS4 as well. The question is whether any of the tech wizards are still with them to use it effectively or if CroTeam is descending into shitty console port 12GB VRAM and stuttering territory. Serious Engine was fucking glorious, man.
This was the case for SS4 as well. The question is whether any of the tech wizards are still with them to use it effectively or if CroTeam is descending into shitty console port 12GB VRAM and stuttering territory. Serious Engine was fucking glorious, man.
SS4 uses another engine?
Serious Sam 4 was Serious Engine 4 but I recall it being technically rather shit, much as Unreal Engine has some substantial problems.
Its a retarded tagline. Again, is it a sequel to that ending from the first game? Logical answer would be yes but since video game developers are retarded, you never know, 2 doesn't come before 1 yet red dead redemption 2 is a prequel to rdr1
yea, that's what number 2 is for there In the title. You don't need to clarify that 2 comes after 1 unless you are mentally retarded and I don't know why this triggers me so much
I really liked Talos Principle 1. It's an inspiring game, with a beautiful theme, an insanely good soundtrack, an amazing atmosphere, etc.
But I don't understand how a sequel to the game can work. If it ties back to the first game, and it's not something like DLC that tells the same story from another point of view, then I don't know how that's going to work.
Also, I don't have any faith in Croteam anymore, Serious Sam 4 is there to show that they no longer have the technical competence of the past, and their game design philosophy, at least the one used in SS4, is terrible. It's almost like a game made by modders with no compromise on anything other than putting in overpowered and epic stuff with no regard for balance and gameplay.
I played the game, and I hated how much they were saying "Don't go into the tower, whatever you do!!!!!" because I knew they were baiting me to defy the creator and go into the tower, so I solved everything possible without going into the tower to subvert the game's expectations, and I got a bad ending. Not sure if I won
inb4 "me"
Me.
Me, you fucking gay bitch this was the most hype reveal in the last 5 years for me so eat shit
Anyone who enjoyed the first game.
me
Garbage walking simulator for trannies.
It's like Zelda Totk, except you don't have to waste your time with the shitty combat. You can get right into the actual meat of the game.
I finished the game and enjoyed it so right on time.
It's a thinking man's game. Not like you would know anything about it.
me
i did
it's the only puzzle game i genuinely thought was interesting other than baba is you
Great taste they're my 2 favorites as well. Antichamber on Steam is a blast but there isn't much of a narrative to it. Worth grabbing on special based on your tastes

The Looker is the most we had.
Talos Principle is the best game they made
Me
And TRUE
Talos Principle was extremely good
This and Helldivers 2 were the best announcements by far
I asked for this. The Talos Principle is one of the best games ever made.
>pseudo intellectual dialogue with computer screen
>omg this is so deep
you're crying
not all games have to be as dumb as you are
don't let big brain puzzles and themes threaten you

wont this just shit up the ending of the original?
People with good tastes who played the original I guess.
finished the game in 2 days and i want my time back

great game morons
Imagine getting outsmarted by a stupid computer lmao
Agreed. It could've been much, much shorter. The last sequence was pretty good. That's it.
the game's writing is concentrated reddit
>mfw it actually says word for word "islamic golden age"
It’s an actual thing, you know.
i have to agree. 2kliksphilip (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkAxJGU4oJ4) sold me on this one and was kinda disappointed. it's still a decent puzzle game with good looking environments and a decent story.

I did. First game was really fucking good but Croteam has gone a bit downhill since then. Hope 2 is also good but I have doubts.
My brain was too small to deal with the rewind + platform puzzles.
Embarrassing.
chuds with no motor fucntion. Read a fucking book you congoids.
After that DLC? Me.

Holy based I loved The Talos Principle. Is this actually PS5 exclusive or just times? I'm not buying a snoy cucksole ever again but it'd be annoying if I had to wait on this
No way, PC too for sure
Good stuff. I remember the original TTP ran great on my toaster of a laptop back in 2016 so I expect they'll optimize TTP2 nicely as well

>Is this actually PS5 exclusive or just times?
the devs are tech autists you can expect this game to be released on fucking everything, the 1st game can be played natively on linux
They are one of the few devs that actually use their own engine so it makes sense.
>own engine
Oh didnt know that, i expected the first one to be using the source engine
Croteam have always been in-house engine autists.
Yeah its all the Serious (sam) engine. Its why you can move so stupidly fast in Talos Principle, even tho there is really no reason for you to be able to.
I thought it was because you're a cool boomer robot4
No it's not a sony exclusive lol, it will be on steam and other platforms. I already wishlisted it on steam
Nope, Pc and Xbox too
LEZZO
is it in VR?
no?
i don't fucking care then fuck you
I liked the first game and would like more.

So many people getting filtered by a philosophy game, lmao

I don't think any of the puzzles themselves require out of bounds tricks, but some of the stars definitely do.

Holy shit is this real?
I just finished the first game
Me too. Did you also finish the DLC?
Waiting for a sale first. I have plenty of time to wait for a pc release of this new one anyway
This game was only announced today because the developers sensed you two playing it recently. You are being watched, your thoughts monitored.
I have super powers. It also happened to me for Hispanice and Wolf
Me, you fucking brainlet
I don't have problems, first one was enjoyable
WTF was his problem!?
I liked Talos but I could live without a sequel. IDK what people are expecting after they shit the bed with Serious Sam
I thought it was a neat game. It was also funny for being an unusually SERIOUS game from the guys who make meme shootans, and they pulled it off better than most.
ohhh so THE devs did yesterday's thread
Okay that's cool and all but what about an old school shooter spinoff where you play as The Talos Dude (voiced by an AI (and John Dick as a DLC voice)) running and gunning up the Tower to kill Elohim, and the serpent is your quippy AI sidekick that lives in your head or whatever?
That's an easter egg segment that you will accidentally encounter during normal gameplay

I've got a bad feeling. The first game was good but it was definitive and needed no sequel. SS4 was a hot mess so this might be one too.
Me.
Fuck you. First game was kino.
Me, retard
the witness chads... where's our sequel...
Never ever
Maybe some indie team will make a spiritual successor one day
The witness is too kino for a sequel sadly.
Jonathan Blow is too busy reinventing the wheel making Jai to make a new game.
Taiji is the closest we will get... though its good at least
me
I would be more hype about an original puzzle game from the makers of talos principle than talos principle 2.
I did.
Refunded it when I realized it really was just another 'are computers le human?" wackiest. No they're not. Next!
low IQ post
I think the most egregious thing about the theme is how unchallenging it is, only referencing good actions as human traits. SO fucking boring.
I thought the writing was bit over the top at times, overly cinematic, but it is possible that people when faced with extinction like to think it was not all for naught and start to see all the good things in humanity and ignore the bad ones.
>Baby's first philosophical game 2
Yawn
t. thinks Yoko Taro is deep
The Talos Principle has genuine philosophical depth. I'd put it up there with anything Kojima has made, Final Fantasy X, The Forgotten City, Stanley Parable, Disco Elysium etc
>t. thinks Yoko Taro is deep
why not both
It’s a new game to offer on ps+ game pass and egs a year from now for the next 3-4 years. It’s literally “pass” filler.

Apparently Croteam is using UE5 instead of their own engine.
This was the case for SS4 as well. The question is whether any of the tech wizards are still with them to use it effectively or if CroTeam is descending into shitty console port 12GB VRAM and stuttering territory. Serious Engine was fucking glorious, man.
SS4 uses another engine?
No, that anon is drunk. It's Serious Engine 4, which is a "step up" from Serious Engine 3, but is worse at pretty much everything.
Serious Sam 4 was Serious Engine 4 but I recall it being technically rather shit, much as Unreal Engine has some substantial problems.
what the fuck is that subtitle? is it a sequel or a prequel? Prologue? Fucking Retards.
Tagline, Anon. Tagline.
Its a retarded tagline. Again, is it a sequel to that ending from the first game? Logical answer would be yes but since video game developers are retarded, you never know, 2 doesn't come before 1 yet red dead redemption 2 is a prequel to rdr1
It just means the first game was a prologue to the new game.
yea, that's what number 2 is for there In the title. You don't need to clarify that 2 comes after 1 unless you are mentally retarded and I don't know why this triggers me so much
Marketers are stupid. Stop taking it so seriously. It's not worth the energy.

i was simply defying the developer who is one level above the in-game god
