4's story is tied to dungeon crawling progression, but at the same time the farming in these games boosts skills to make dungeon crawling easier.
So you farm to dungeon crawl better and dungeon crawl to farm more things.
It's a more fluid synergy in systems than something like Stardew's mines/skull cave.
It's a generally much more well developed game
Mechanics have more to them, there's a lot more content, all the different parts of the game tie together neatly
SV is good for an indie game but it has its limits
