yeah bro every button is a weapon lol you don't even have to aim, wow so fun
look i can have TWO chainguns! haha wow! this build variety is DOPE! haha did i mention you don't even have to aim?
because it's a pure experience, no furry shit, no alphabet people pandering, no pretentious ambition, not empty open world, no buggy unfulfilled promises, no platform war it's just a goddamn videogame

Very good game with fun replayable missions, great customization, interesting characters, and the NG+ and ++ stuff is peak soul.
They actually cared about making a compelling game.

>replayable missions
aren't they basically all the same?
some of them are somewhat unique of course but it's almost always just fly here, kill this guy or press triangle.
Don't get me wrong, the gameplay is fantastic and I love the boss fights, but I just don't see myself replaying AC6 like I did with Sekiro or any other FS game.
>fromslopper cultists
You mean tencent bots.
Tencent has shares in fromsoft.
You can pretty much say with confidence that the "people" praising the game here are bots.
They did good work. If they put as much effort into their anime dubs as they did into this then I might be inclined to watch shows in English, but they don't.

You got him. Not much can compare in terms of gameplay if it isn't recycled every year.
I'm shit at this game and even I enjoy it. It just feels so good to play. None of this slow clunky Dark Souls shit. I only wish the regular enemies would be tougher and remove some of the shittier bosses from the game, maybe just replace the with AC duels. I enjoy the game more in big sprawling battles than in the boss encounters.
I’ve been playing ac3 and it’s a super basic tank control action game lmao. Still fun because I like build autism, but ac6 unironically has more combat depth
This. I love the old games, but let's not pretend that they had mechanical complexity. Most fights were just circle strafes to win, or in later gens, they just spammed boosting until you got a lucky shot behind them. Not to mention the bosses were somewhat lacking. Compare Answerer and Mother will to the STRIDEr.
It seems like something that a lot of 3rd person shooters fall into.
In this respect, tank controls with varying turning circles could be interesting; but AC has evolved de-emphasize feeling like the pilot of a somewhat clunky and cumbersome death machine.
You have way more combat tactics in this game with QBs, ABs, and getting in the air. Whenever someone starts circle strafing I just take the fight to the air.
Because those games suck, but this game is the definition of mid. It was already sad when Demons' Souls was considered a masterpiece because games declined so hard, but now we've declined even further.
Because it's basically a game for the PS2. I mean that as a compliment.
What is it about PS2 game design (or really the same design that AC has had since 1997) that modern games miss - besides the obvious of not being designed to annoy you into buying MTX while being fundamentally fun enough to keep you playing.
>No microtransactions >No online components pushed down your throat >No "muh cinematics" >No gay/black agenda (different times) >Evolving technology, not all genres were set on stone for copying and pasting ad nauseam, tools for game development not as well established >Limitations breeding creativity
It's pretty funny you mention cinematics, because FROM has historically made some bangers of cinematic cutscenes for AC. 5 is probably my favorite - that fever dream of war in the style of GWOT-era Sony Nightshot camcorder, and then the ACs rebuilding and rearming to do it again.
Like frame for frame? I thought it was just a heavy inspiration.
I honestly love how the trailer looks like CNN coverage of a mech war c2005

Sometimes. Shit like the NVG footage of the helicopters is a copy of blackhawks over badgdad. The tank AC running over a car is actually an abrams. The weapon testing stuff is basically 1:1 for example.
>Who the fuck was Raven? It seemed like she was going to have some role to play, but she really was just some independent mercenary part of some random group called Branch that doesn't do anything? The CATAPRACT boss has a lot of shit to say about her so is the only lore here that she was maybe part of PCA? And for some reason spilled the beans to corps that coral was back? >W-what happened to Rusty? Did he get Kate Kallmind'd (independent mercenary) off screen from the liberator route? But we didn't even hear about it because we were too busy being "saved"? >Is Allmind just a rogue AI obsessed with humanity's potential? It seemed implied she was a coral wave like Ayre. Liberator ends like 30s before Stargazer does, right? So what happens at the end of the Stargazer route? You release the coral, it spreads across the universe, everyone gets their own shizo wife?

Two character. The She is an operator. They both work for an independent Merc group Branch. PCA lock down Rubicon and made sure no one goes in. Raven change this. He found vital info of an easier passage, leak it to the Corp, and now PSA has to deal with many CORP all invading Rubicon for resources.
>W-what happened to Rusty? Did he get Kate Kallmind'd (independent mercenary) off screen from the liberator route? But we didn't even hear about it because we were too busy being "saved"? Fire ending, you kill him. Ayre ending, he got killed by Snail's final plan, releasing Walter. He is presumed kill and absorb in Allmind. The jap version has his voice as one of many.
>>Is Allmind just a rogue AI obsessed with humanity's potential? It seemed implied she was a coral wave like Ayre.
Just an AI that is a call back to many AIs in the previous series. They want to keep Humanity alive and fresh for the next step.
>I thought maybe she was Dolmayan's shizo wife but from what I can tell it's not really stated
That was a different coral waifu.
>>Why is the Liberator route any different than the Stargazer route? Liberator ends like 30s before Stargazer does, right? So what happens at the end of the Stargazer route? You release the coral, it spreads across the universe, everyone gets their own shizo wife?
You don't release coral in Ayre's path. She just shrug her shoulder and hope things turn out well.
>Who the fuck was Raven?
A mercenary who hated the space feds and let all the corporations in on coral still being present on Rubicon. The name "Raven" itself is a title that has been passed down in the past, and now again in the present of AC6. BRANCH and Raven, prior to the start of the game, also took out a space fed base. >W-what happened to Rusty?
Dies in every ending (assimilated in the last one). >Is Allmind just a rogue AI
Yes. This is common in AC. >It seemed implied she was a coral wave like Ayre >I thought maybe she was Dolmayan's shizo wife
No and no again. >Why is the Liberator route any different than the Stargazer route?
The Liberation of Rubicon ending has no overt ALLMIND influence. For whatever reason, she's still in the background here, doing ALLMIND things. Additionally, Ayre and 621 do not become the dominant minds in the coral hivemind, as the coral singularity does not happen here. >So what happens at the end of the Stargazer route? You release the coral, it spreads across the universe
The NG++ conflict leading up to the conclusion is about who ends up becoming dominant personality, All-Mind or 621 and Ayre; and thus who controls the path the evolution of coral and humanity takes. That's all that anyone can really say about it without making a ton of assumptions.
Why is that the takeaway everyone is having? Its just showing that Coral is acting as the operating OS now. Its Ayre playing the system boot up noise you've heard a thousand times. Do you guys think ACs go "activating casual mode" or something?
>Do you guys think ACs go "activating casual mode"
Well, yeah. They have a "Normal mode" when they're not shooting and killing.
I wouldn't be surprised if we get a sequel or DLC where you're fighting coral zombie mechs that are going on a rampage and you encounter 621 as a boss fight like White Glint in 4A.
freud and rusty are both 100% MIA during the last half of the ALLMIND route and they're coincidentally the only people that could probably successfully escape. So believe what you will. Anyone that lived is gonna get blasted to the beach and wake up with a wife in their head
The movement mechanics of the 5th gen were underrated, and allowed for more interesting maps than previous entries - and I'm tired of pretending otherwise.
Having to go into that ugly blue filter for scan-mode was one of the 5th gen's biggest travesties.
I have been playing pvp for the last 6 hours and I am fucking having a blast.Fuck wheelchair fags, fuck those hyper laser beam one shot move users. There should be a weapon ban on each session.
What are the best kinetic guns? I'm trying to make a light-medium build focusing on whittling stagger from a distance and then going in for melee kills.
railway guns beat them all by a mile, you can have them chase you and they won't expect the stagger and that super juicy charged attack that destroys the stagger bar. You could use the moonlight for follow up or whatever you want.
The only kinetic rifles worth a damn are Harris and Ransetsu-RF. I think laser rifles are better for long range tbh if you want to build stagger you can rely on back weapons
To each their own, I hate it. ZOE perfected the snappy mecha feeling, and Xenoblade X perfected the clunky mecha feeling IMO.
In fact, if AC6 controlled like Xenoblade, it would be better off.
I understand why they went that way after the 3rd gen, because bunny hopping does look pretty silly. You don't see it in the cutscenes.
However, I feel like a game with more limited air mobility can allow legs to differentiate more. Again, I think AC5 did one of the better jobs of making legs feel different - without dumb-looking boost hopping.
A little less jess-fighter on ice-skates, and little more rocket-powered attack helicopter.
If you could mod Stagger out of the game, would you? And would you keep Attitude Stability so that staggers can occur, just without the extra damage bursting? This would probably need weapon damage heavily altered across the board to make most weapons not be total shit to compensate.
Absolutely. >would you keep Attitude Stability so that staggers can occur, just without the extra damage bursting?
No because that's the worst part. I'd rather have it all gone but if one part of it has to stay the extra damage is way less gay then the literal stagger.
It kind of was, but as hitstun. If you lacked the defense threshold of sorts versus what you got hit with, you'd "pause" in place repeatedly, locking you up to the point that enemy ACs could just stunlock you to death in the worst case circumstances. Apparently ACV/VD had this in a general mechanic altogether and could get you hitstunned by virtually anything, even basic machinegun fire.
I would mod stagger out, remove ACS entirely, enabled overboosting forwards, backwards, and side to side at will. ACV Style. Add snipers, extend medium range from 130 to 300 and long range 300 out. increase weapon velocity across the board by 25% Doulbe kinectic weapons magazine sizes, increase their ROF by 50%. Double QB Jet duration by 30% across the board and increase QB Speeds by 20%
>enabled overboosting forwards backwards and side to side
You can overboost dodge with a directional input, just not backwards or extra forwards.
>If you lacked the defense threshold of sorts versus what you got hit with, you'd "pause" in place repeatedly
The tradeoff being if your defense was that low you're almost certainly a speedy boy and can reliable dodge shots with enough skill.
Plus the only weapons that could lock you down were low damage handguns.

I think the problem with stagger is that you're incentivized to just go balls out with maximum damage and zero finesse because you have such easy weapons to stagger with like lance, songbirds and shotgun.
And then you don't really have to do combos just pile bunker that bitch for 5 billion damage and unload all your weapons.
I like it as a mechanic but it's kind of badly tuned.
Nah
I would restore the missing section of the damage triangle and make weapons which aren't focused on causing stagger or exploiting stagger actually worth using
So increase projectile velocity
There are a lot of factors to consider, 'damage' is just a big umbrella for them all to go under. Tweak the values until it deals enough damage to compete with stagger centric gameplay.
>So increase projectile velocity
if you start doing that all lightweight builds will just evaporate
I feel like the distinction in speed between a 60k weight and 80k+ weight mech should be increased by quite a bit
I feel like kinetics should be really based around stagger build-up, like how the shotguns clearly are, and then the lasers doing more direct AP damage should be heightened and emphasized at the cost of crap stagger. The energy weapons in general are simply better to use than default kinetics unless you're a buzzdown motherfucker, I think the game was intended to be like this but someone miscalculated hard.
>I feel like kinetics should be really based around stagger build-up, like how the shotguns clearly are, and then the lasers doing more direct AP damage should be heightened and emphasized at the cost of crap stagger.
They kind of are. Handguns, Linear Rifles, Shotguns, Sampu, Gatlings etc are all great at busting ACS. Meanwhile Lasers do shit all impact damage but have great AP damage.
There's two problems though. One is that impact damage is inherently much better than AP damage due to direct hit multipliers. The second is that a bunch of kinetic weapons (most rifles and machine guns) are just shit because they are clearly balanced around ammo cost in a game where ammo doesn't matter at all.
Nah
I would restore the missing section of the damage triangle and make weapons which aren't focused on causing stagger or exploiting stagger actually worth using
are rereferring to
It feels to me like there is a nerf on all AP damage across the board, but a lot of weapons are still balanced around the extra point on the triangle existing. So lasers with no impact damage should have like twice the AP damage that they do.
I agree.
Kinetic - High stagger, moderate direct hit, low AP
Plasma - Moderate stagger, moderate direct hit, moderate AP
Laser - Low stagger, moderate direct hit, high AP
Explosive - High stagger, low direct hit, moderate AP
Of course, that is WAY too reductive, I would hate to see every single weapon boiled down to those exact criteria, there should always be some variation and mixup, but as a general guideline that's pretty much what I envision.
>Pulse shields seem like the perfect opportunity to balance out impact vs direct damage builds >Oh actually Pulse Shields are weak to impact rather than regular damage.
Weird choice.
I'd rather not. Imagine threads and tetrapods just doing whatever because you can't stagger them. Or melee being either really shit because everyone can just boost out after the first hit, or really good because they stun you for all the hits. Same with missiles.
They should justadjust how it works maybe adjust how quick impact stagger and accumulated impact stagger interacts with the overall stagger bar and adjust values across the board. Nerf direct damage or at least keep the damage bonus only during the stun time, and not the entire time the bar's red.
It is strange to have a stagger mechanic, though, since some bosses clearly dont need a stagger bar, like balteus or ice worm where they get disabled if you break their shields. Sea spider should easily have some mechanic where you have to hit some part on its wings, or the middle cone to disable it. The stagger bar is really just for AC vs ACs.
I'd rebalance it so that more weapons did more damage overall, like everything should have the viability of a zimmerman, but in return stagger wouldn't cause you to take as much damage. As is the game is fine, but I can see why people would be iffy of the new mechanics.
No, the problem with Stagger is that a handful of >NON-EXPLOSIVE< weapons deal insane amounts of it, while every other non-explosive weapon doesn't deal enough. Stagger is your melee enabler. It's part of that sweet loop where you hear KRCHNK followed by a flashing red bar and your monkey brain goes RAPE. That's vital to what makes AC6 so fun to play despite the factually repetitive nature of it. Zimmermans can stagger a tetrapod MT in two shots, no other handheld weapon can do that. I don't even think any melee besides the Pilebunker can do that.
To be honest, it doesn't help that explosive weapons in general that aren't missiles or songbirds are only good for Stagger punish anyway. There's not much reason to stock grenade launchers and big ass cannons when most enemies will evade that repeatedly and they reload too slow to be truly effective. You're best off sticking explosives on the shoulders and keeping your arms focused on anything else besides the rifles/machineguns.
The game is tight and well designed, unlike Elden Ring which suffered from severe bloat.
Combat takes center stage and is fast and satisfying throughout the whole game. Really good customization part wise and cosmetically. The story and characters are surprisingly good and likeable.
It's just a well made game made with real passion, something that is rare these days. I hope Fromsoft goes back to making AC games from now on.
>Really good customization part wise and cosmetically.
I love how this was a system shock to zoomer players when they were surprise that the most basic customization is free and not behind a DLC.
What bothers me is that in 3rd gen they had a crest and mirage part for almost everything with similar stats and the crest part had blockier aesthetics while mirage was more curvy so you could keep the stats you want without sacrificing too much for how you want to look. Here some parts from different sets clash so much and look uncanny.
Its looking good for us. I remember like a day after launch the US rep for fromsoft put out a statement saying yeah we've made enough to be good for making more AC.
Then you have shit like this https://twitter.com/BandaiNamcoUS/status/1699860089572626623?s=20
I'm expecting a big dlc before AC7 in a few years. Feels fucking good
Me, but I swapped the shoulder buttons with the triggers and boost with shift control.
In retrospect, it's more like I'm type A but with jump and left shoulder swapped and QB and right shoulder swapped.
I changed the the shoulder weapon button to square and X so i can press them both with my thumb at the same time. The boost is low priority to me because quickboosting turns on normal boosting so i don't think it's important enough to be on X
ALLMIND is not an AI, its the coral that is living inside institute city. It controls the PCA to protect itself and keep itself hidden until it can pull of its plan of coral release.
>ALLMIND is not an AI
Yes, ALLMIND is an AI, retard. >its the coral that is living inside institute city.
No, it is not. That is the Enforcement System, an entirely different AI and NOT a coral entity, retard. >It controls the PCA to protect itself and keep itself hidden until it can pull of its plan of coral release.
The Enforcement System was built to assist in keeping Rubicon quarantined by the Planetary Closure Administration after the Fires of Ibis caused a calamity on a galactic scale, retard.
Fucking hell you morons are so proudly retarded. What is wrong with you?
>Why do Iguazus ears ring when ALLMIND is contacting him, like 621s do when Ayre is speaking
They don't. G5 is assimilated by ALLMIND later and that is the only time he can directly hear her in his brain, and while it does drive him up a wall by his own admission, he was already mentally unstable by that point in time. Prior to his assimilation into ALLMIND, the only voices that G5 could hear as a coral-augmented human, was exactly that—coral. Any C-Wave entities within close proximity were likely audible; this is why G5 spazzes out whenever 621 is nearby and Ayre is talking. Additionally, whenever G5 complained about buzzing in his hears, ringing, or voices, it was always in a coral dense environment.
I just started ng+. I didn't use wheelchair as much as I thought I would, based on what everyone says. Am I using it wrong? You just scoot around and don't get airborne or QB too much, right? Feels awful when you're trying to jump over a boss's attacks, though
Got a job for you, 621. I need you to wash my car. There are a lot of bugs stuck to the front. 621, make sure you use microfiber cloths and TWO buckets, I don't want any scratches or swirls on my paint!
52 missions, not counting the missions you replay through during your three playthroughs to reach the final ending or the slightly altered missions you get in NG+ is not "short"
I've genuinely been having fun running 9 man singles lobbies just to see what the other kinds of builds are out there. Lots of horseshit meta stuff with double zims and missile boats but there's also some genuinely interesting strategies.
Last thread some fucking retard said Carla and gang call you visitor in the Japanese dub.
They fucking CLEARLY SAY MISTAUHHH. Why do people here say shit that they know nothing about?
>ywn experience the moment where Walter tells you destroy PCA ship and you panickly use assault boost to fly above the whole ship and a bunch of drones appears and you destroy the cabin
I beat NG++ but using zimmies. I sorta feel like I cheated, but I have no fucking clue how you're supposed to do the last phase without treating it as a dps rush because the melee attacks feel impossible to reliably dodge.
What is a non-cheaty (gatlings/songbird/zim/needle) but viable build for the last boss so I can redo it and feel satisfied about my victory
(I'm not belittling anyone who played using those weapons, that was a nutty boss and I just want e-cred for my own autism)
>my setup isn't adapted to this boss >hmmm i wonder what sort of other weapon could help my case >HMMMMM >which ones to choose now >something more adapted to the situation
I did experiment though. In NG+ I wanted to go a fast build for my inevitable fight with Rusty. I decided I needed hit and run guns to be effective and make up for my low hp. Certain bosses (Ibis, Allmind) are rough to keep up with in super close melee range, so I gravitated towards shotguns with slightly more range to compensate.
It just so happens those exact guns are apparently very strong
Pretty simple, actually. The bosses give you a lot of health leeway on the S-rank so it's mostly just being able to burst them down quickly. There's only a few tricky ones like strider escort that you might need a guide to cheese because fuck that mission
>double ducketts >double laser drones >light frame
Fun as fuck, no one expects the damage to build up. Having to fight tanks and tetrapods can be tense.
Because this is pure video game, no le 100+hour gameplay and story
Pretty ironic that i spend 80+hour in ac6 and dropped bg3 after act 1 because how bored i was
video game ass video games are the ones that are easiest to sink tons of time into, because it's actually fun to just do stuff
as opposed to story focused shit that you play once >t. 600 hours in Nioh 2 because dicking on demons and making builds is neat
Considering what I went up against today, that's not surprising. >Double Zimmerman >Double Zimmerman >Double Stungun >Double Zimmerman >Wheelchair playing keepaway >Basho Arms Pilebunker >Double Zimmerman
any sweeping move can be dodge by jumping. The x slash is a speed check. if you have 320+ speed your QBs should be able to get you out of the way.
Otherwise you can go full tank and max your AP and stability and use stun needles, minigun and zimmer
Well since you don't need weapons to make a valid AC, and tank legs don't need a booster, there's probably more combinations to make a valid AC than the chart shows.
It makes you a boat, you fall very slowly so once you get high up in the air you're a real pain, rain death from above and the longer you get ignored the more of a nuisance you are.

I'd probably go with double 2x8 missile launchers or the 10 vertical missiles for my shoulder slots but a lot of rocket loadouts can work surprisingly well with the Aperitif in your main hands
Im surprised missile boats arent the meta instead zimzams.

I've done the same boat but with coral missiles instead and I think it's better with the coral missiles. With this generator you never come down unless someone comes up to get you down.

Arquebus + RRI build but I had to cheat a little bit by mixing regular Arquebus with Arquebus ADD because for some reason the should lasers are developed by a different department than the handheld ones
AC6 is really good but once you get 100% achievements it drops of hard
The multiplayer is dead for a game this recently released and replaying missions loses its appeal after doing 3 playthroughs and S ranking everything
I have 70+ hours in the game and I enjoyed those hours a lot so I'm by no means complaining about the game's quality but it doesn't have the kind of replayability something like Elden Ring or even Baldur's Gate 3 has. Frankly I would like to play more PvP but it's hard to find opponents
This is the stage with these games where the hard core fans would do challenge runs like melee only, starter AC no OSTuning, beat the whole game as MAD STOMP or other silly things.
From flubbed PVP pretty hard though, I don't think they'll be able to save it.
Judging by the "month of MECHTEMBER" shit on Twitter and the accompanying screenshot showing a map that doesn't exist in the main game, they're planning patches or updates for things it seems, but frankly unless there's some major overhauls to the matching systems and rebalancing fast, PvP isn't gonna last.
I want more game modes, maybe even a co-op horde/holdout mode.
They need a quick match button because having to look for a room and hope you connect or slots not taken is ass. Would be fun too if you're got two other friends for the team mode. Spectator mode while waiting for a match would be nice too
I'm losing my fucking mind fighting Mad Stomp. I've tired fucking everything. Tank build, high speed build, dual bazookas, energy weapons, combinations of all of these things and my fucking god nothing works.
The best I've gotten is with dual bozookas and double stunning him but my fucking god that stomp phase is brutal
Lemme help you out.

I used to until I realized that sales tax fucking sucks and I can get games online for a discount AND tax free.
Is there any reason not to just slaughter all of the goblins on sight? Is there anything to do with listening to Gut or making deals with them, if you aren't playing an evil route?
My personal GOTY along with Starfield. It's just an overall satisfying game. They just need some more PVP content or even Co-op missions, like MGS Peace Walker.
it's good but you have too many shades
the mechs look best if it's obviously following a theme or the mech is limited to three colors only
so white, gold and black supports/trim
Last-Light MK II
Better or does it need less gold? Everything is down to 3 hues. I heavily reduced the reflectivity all non-gold parts. I also made the laser canon match the other guns in terms of gold content.
Not that anon but nobody talks like that anon, and Rusty sure as hell doesn't talk like that. It's a line that sounds like it comes from Ayre actually. I think if I had to rewrite it, which I don't obviously I like it enough especially with the actor's delivery, I'd replace it with >Let's show them there's a future for Rubicon, all or nothing
As a reference to what he says when he fires at the worm with the limiter off.
>use shotguns in every shooter if possible >just love the feeling of high risk/high reward, getting close and dealing huge chunks of damage >oh look a new AC came out, and it has shotguns that you can dual wield, how cool is that? >find out they're OP and everyone considers them a crutch
They circle back around to being cool if commit to a shotguns only build
Get the hanger OS upgrade and put the other shotguns on your shoulders while dual-wielding zimmers, swap your shotguns after firing a salvo to cut your reload times in half
It takes a bit getting used to but it's a really fun playstyle

Shotgun are easy mode how?
Vs any non-boss, everything works
Vs boss, specific weapons work even better
>Shotgun are easy mode how? >easily clear all trash mobs >easily clear all enemy ACs >easily clear most bosses >enough ammo to last through all missions
There's only like 2 bosses that shotguns struggle with and you can swap to gatling guns for those
No one said solely Zimmermans, but hell, I took Haldemanns into the endgame and the slaughtering is functionally the exact same beyond less range to my capabilities. Mix with pressure missiles to build ACS and damage, Stun Needles to nuke shit with shoulder snipers, or Songbirds and everything just fucking melts.
>easily clear all trash mobs >easily clear all enemy ACs >easily clear most bosses >enough ammo to last through all missions
This but charged linear rifles. There are only like 2 bosses in the game where they're not good.
They worked fine for me as long as I had room to maneuver with them but the wheelchair and tank legs can get really awkward when you get stuck on something in the environment
It's pure gameplay FUN. No annoying story blocking you and doesn't require hours of droning dialogue. Mech customization and flexibility make AC6 replayable, and it's so addicting, I stopped playing Genshin.
And speaking of Genshit, it's has the most BORING story in video game history and this fucking game doesn't know how to balance story and gameplay—all you do in these quests is 30 minutes of badly written dialogue of some random disposable NPC, 1-2 minutes of boring gameplay (normally just killing a couple of mobs or solving a brain-dead puzzle), and 30-more-minutes of badly written dialogue of some random disposable NPC. I WANT TO FUCKING PLAY GODDAMMNIT.
AC6 prioritizes gameplay over story and that's the kind of game I've been longing for. Also, no gacha shit, no annoying time-gated grinding, and no farming of materials that are limited in quantity. JUST PURE FUN. Take notes, Genshit and garden gnomehoyo.
>NG++ >go up against Juggynaught >two plasma rifles with two shoulder plasma cannons and the energy boosting generator >melt him before Rusty even gets the order to fly away >das it mane
because it's fucking badass? like all of it
the gameplay the cool weapons the explosions the enemies the story the people on comms like handler walter and iguazu the setting the graphics the tinkering the other game modes
fuckin everything
it's like people thought badass shit was cool or something
These missiles kinda suck. I was playing around with them on the trainer AC and was surprised how few were actually hitting. You're better off with the more "basic" missiles with a faster lock time (which is effectively added to your reload time as well)
These missle have the highest damage and impact out of ever other one. You dont just just shoot them as soon as it locks on to a target, youre supposed to fire them right before you break an enemies stagger or when there is an opening.
Here you go friend. Also a first person mod if you want to meme.

GGs all, thanks for the matchups. That melee boost tech would work wonders on light to medium builds

Thanks for the games, Raven. The data will be valuable as always.

>That melee boost tech would work wonders on light to medium builds
It's very fun when it works, but often I just end up running myself dry. I might swap out the coral generator, melee ACs don't handle downtime very well.
>First ending choose to do the simp ending where you helkp the rubiconians >NG+ has extra missions for them but i will have to betray them in the end if i want both endings
should have spoilered myself i guess
Lots of points in damage types and resistances, the problem is not there. I can't play this AC correctly.
I do well with a very light reverse-joints, i do well with a medium-heavy dafengbot that has only 4 quickboosts in the bank but this guy right here it's just build wrong.
Hmm that's unorthodox for sure. I don't even know how you'd beat Balteus with it. The chainsaw is a liability because it's slow, the uncharged swipe doesn't do a lot of damage, so it mostly just sits there while you go through your rifle rounds and then your machineguns I'm sure. Are you talking pvp or pve?
pve. I get opportunities to use the chainsaw but i whiff it every time, need chainsaw training. It's what happens when i build for cool.
I beat freud in this thing i'm sure i can do balteus.
As a fellow chainsaw enjoyer, there's no sense in using it unless you charge it. Uncharged swipes are too slow and little damage. Get the enemy near stagger, then charge. The nice thing about the chainsaw is that holding the attack button for half a second, maybe even less, will let you do a fully charged swipe.
What does enjoying previous AC games or not have to do with why AC6 is an enjoyable game in its own right, especially when compared to other games released this year?
Because if you played previous entries, especially 4, you wouldn't eat up the sort of change they did in 6. You don't fucking know any better and as such have no problem with soulshit to forever smother yet another franchise wholesale.
Even if you are okay with stagger, can't account for taste really, afterall scatfags exist. You can't possibly excuse parts selection being this poor, in both amount and type, which is especially noticeable with weapons.
I agree with your weapon comment, but I also have my own ideas about that; the game should have restricted you from doubling up without some sort of handicap to encourage more diverse loadouts. But with that, there would need to be maybe 7 more weapons to make things more interesting. But lack of weapon variety when the gameplay is already as enjoyable as it is isn't enough for me to hate AC6. It's my most enjoyed game this year.
Finished the Fires of Raven ending. Cheese it with 2 zams because couldn't make any good build.
This game is great. One of the best looking action games thanks to art direction and direction. Plot is also better than I expected. Pretty challenging and it was a lot of fun. GOTY for me.
My problem is nothing feels as FUN as two zimzams + pilebunker on a lightweight. I tried a missile helicopter, handguns, pure melee and it just all pales in comparison to the FUN of assault boosting into an AC's face, double buckshot into charged pilebunker. It's glass cannon fun. I don't play pvp.
>The anonymous posters >Those dolts in the threads >And worst of all---you, the videogame enjoyer who stirred the discussion board! >You sicken me! All of you! >I'll crush you underfoot! I AM SHITPOSTER!
That is normal, you are a cut up debt-slave that got pulled out of cryosleep in orbit, dropped onto the planet and told to kill shit. Everything will make sense by the time you get to NG+ and NG++ will be even better.
It's one thing not to know what's going on, and anon was exaggerating, you know what's going on by the end of the first playthrough, it's just that NG+ and NG++ adds new story content. But it's another thing to not enjoy it. If you don't enjoy it, don't play anon.
That's what I meant by "by the time you get to NG+", since it means beating the game first. If things don't make sense by then, then it's likely that this particular pilot had been the recipient of a botched augmentation surgery.
Balam and Arquebus wants to get the Coral (sentient superfuel / drug mcguffin substance) for money
The PCA wants to close off the planet completely, so no one (but them) can get the Coral
The Liberation Front wants all three of them to fuck off forever.
Walter has his own secrit motivations
ALLMIND exists for all mercenaries.
The cutscene after the tutorial mission tells you what Coral/Fires of Ibis is. Yet people keep getting confused about it. Is everyone asleep when playing this game? Is it just Dark Souls brain rot where people treat the story as optional and then later get confused when it isn't?
How hard is it to understand that it's primarily a wonder fuel you can use in machines when you keep running into machines powered by it?
Yes, you can also inject it into humans and yes that gives you a chance that it might start talking to you. But how is that hard to follow?
Also you not knowing anyone's motivations by act 4 is primarily because no one has told you their motivations by act 4.
So let me get it clear. Ayre is just a voice in your drugged on Coral brain and ALLMIND is an AI with Kate being fake personality she created. The game have 0 waifus you could actually fuck.
Independent mercenary Kate Markson is a real person who likes you quite a lot. C wave mutation Ayre is fuel you inhaled and you should not listen to any hallucinations it gives you.
how did allmind know ayre name and how did it know she was with me? that was spooky in NG++ route
also fires of raven ending credits track is still the best out of 3
>gen-4 like (You) >part of an elite squad unit and should be awesome >turns out he's pretty much a hotheaded rookie next to this "nobody independent" that came out of nowhere with the same level of augs >gets shown up at the Wall and had to eject like a bitch while (You) do it after he bragged >keeps getting really annoying buzzing voice sounds in his head every time Ayre talks around him >keeps trying to kill (You) out of slighted ego, and eventually just starts going the hitman hire route because he already got his ass decked so hard >becomes a lynchpin in ALLMIND's plan to stop (You) so it can get its assimilation done >manages to get control out of his sheer hatred for (You) and become a proverbial demigod of machinery and human >still loses
Literally 621 just existing undermined everything about his existence, and then he wasn't even as Coral compatible for Contact in the end and still got bitchmode'd.
You enjoy games where your eyes are blasted by disco lights. You enjoy the sensation of zooming around at high speed, because it reminds you of the time you speeding through the neighborhood high on acid.
>practically infinite energy >immortality >can literally become GUNDAM >gets own cute waifu
How can anyone say coral integration is not the best ending? >but you are no longer human
So? Being a meatbag fucking sucks, doubly so in the fucked up world AC is set in.
621 is not a human when the game begins. He's not human the second he got gen 4 mods.
And the hilarious thing, Ayre is the most humane member of the cast despite being a wave lifeform that gained human sentience.
The last mission of chapter 3 feels like a fucking anime
It takes a rare talent to design something this over the top and make it work gameplay wise
You're literally demolishing an entire military base with several warships in it, then jump across popping up the approaching reinforcements, then get a cool dual fight with not-Blaidd on your side
That's not the last mission of chapter 3.
That's be the hype as fuck battle against the worm, where all the corpos team up together and you have the best pilots (and Iguazu for some reason, he's probably only there to be annoyed at your success) all working together to fuck up a cut Shadow of the Colossus boss.
Fromsoft's shorter games usually are really good the only other one I can think of is probably Bloodborne if you only stick to the main route and don't take any detours (obviously don't do that on a first time playthrough)
I don't think they have another game that's beatable in 20 hours on your first run, unless you're aiming to do it in that time for some reason. That's all I mean.
>watch some gameplay of metal wolf chaos >you look like a slightly bigger soldier with a comically oversized set of weirdly shaped nutsacks glued to your back
Because it's just real fucking great game.
Moment to moment gameplay is fantastic. The story and dialogue are surprisingly very good too.
yeah bro every button is a weapon lol you don't even have to aim, wow so fun
look i can have TWO chainguns! haha wow! this build variety is DOPE! haha did i mention you don't even have to aim?
BG3 has no gameplay.
Do you aim in Baldur Gaped III?
Yes.
Fpbp
>Being this obvious
lol
because it's a pure experience, no furry shit, no alphabet people pandering, no pretentious ambition, not empty open world, no buggy unfulfilled promises, no platform war it's just a goddamn videogame
It makes up for all that with ripping out important shit from the previous games along with a general simplification of everything.
Thanks Looneychud!
Saved
What is this fucking schizo shit? Another boogeyman, seriously?
AAIIIIIIEEEEEE SAVE ME BOOGEYMAN THE LOONEYchud IS UNDER MY BED!!
My feelings exactly, it's been a long time I haven't played a proper video game. It feels like a late PS2/early PS3 game
>no furry shit
>no platform war
Exclusive really did kill any good Monster Hunter discussion.
SEX WITH RUSTY
>no furry shit
DROPPED
>MC is called 621
>no furshit
what did they mean by this
you can make custom furry decals if you’re mentally ill enough
And for those very same reasons it will be neglected at award shows. Hell, I'd be surprised if it even gets nominated.
It'll get nominated for action game of the year and lose to cowadooty or something.
>no furry shit
That’s right.
>no alphabet people pandering,
wat
LGBTQ
oh I get it
Very good game with fun replayable missions, great customization, interesting characters, and the NG+ and ++ stuff is peak soul.
>replayable missions
aren't they basically all the same?
some of them are somewhat unique of course but it's almost always just fly here, kill this guy or press triangle.
Don't get me wrong, the gameplay is fantastic and I love the boss fights, but I just don't see myself replaying AC6 like I did with Sekiro or any other FS game.
you could criticize every action game in exactly the same way
BG3 is hyped to all get or because it's the first pc focused AAAslop in years. Enjoy your game OP
very organic thread there definitely are not any fromslopper cultists here whatsoever.
>all threads I disagree with are are inorganic
Get over yourself
no, it's bringing bg3 out of nowhere when the two games have nothing in common
>can't use the schizo shill accusation this time
>Heh, cultists then
It's past your bedtime.
>fromslopper cultists
You mean tencent bots.
Tencent has shares in fromsoft.
You can pretty much say with confidence that the "people" praising the game here are bots.
But what are their builds?
God I wish I was a bot. I don't want crippling anxiety and having to pay rent.
They actually cared about making a compelling game.
It's a video game, not an immersive/cinematic experience.
because you are a retard who played BG3 in the first place and AC6 is perfect for retards
Because it's basically a game for the PS2. I mean that as a compliment.
what part clicked for you op?
Rusty telling me i flew just out of reach, budyd.
Holy fuck why can't every dub be as good as From's.
but these guys are just your stock standard anime VAs. We didnt even get the kino british stage actors like in dork souls.
They did good work. If they put as much effort into their anime dubs as they did into this then I might be inclined to watch shows in English, but they don't.
I think there are still some good dubs out there.
?si=sC_D7uCpZnr-0Wtm
This one I enjoyed, but I haven't found many other since this.
Tell me that I am not the only who play EMIYA song in the background while fighting Ibis.
Not that anon but that's not very good.
Good direction and casting goes along way
Which NPC AC's are actually good loadouts?
Either Volta, Rokumonsen, or Snail
Piloting your mech just feels so good. I love the controls
it's a good game but i wouldn't be praising it too highly, it does have issues and some removed aspects compared to the older games.
I don't know. It was fun for about a week and a half. Beat it and moved on. Not exactly a substantial or memorable game.
Because you're a Fromdrone, which is just as sad as being a Bethesdrone over Starfield. This game is mid.
So what kind of slop do you indulge in that you compare favorably to this?
You got him. Not much can compare in terms of gameplay if it isn't recycled every year.
I'm shit at this game and even I enjoy it. It just feels so good to play. None of this slow clunky Dark Souls shit. I only wish the regular enemies would be tougher and remove some of the shittier bosses from the game, maybe just replace the with AC duels. I enjoy the game more in big sprawling battles than in the boss encounters.
its been dumbed down enough for zoomers
You clearly didn't pkay the earlier games. They literally gave you a superbuff if you lost too hard.
No one in their right mind would say that NGB is easy because Ninja Dog exists.
>Most fights were just circle strafes to win
you can literally do the same shit here.
Whenever someone starts circle strafing I just take the fight to the air.
you could do all that in the old games.
And they feel like shit to do there. There’s a reason there’s no competitive AC3 community
They moved to LR.
there is you retard.
Then fuck off to your 10 person discord, gays, nobody cares
you cared enough to get BTFO
Got back from the store and you're still going?
Holy crap Lois
Isn't there an AC2AA community? I'm not sure but a vtuber I watched would stream vs matches with his friends even recently.
Because those games suck, but this game is the definition of mid. It was already sad when Demons' Souls was considered a masterpiece because games declined so hard, but now we've declined even further.
What do you consider a good game then?
sonic adventure 2
You are having false fun as AC6 is inferior to its predecessors
you have a false vagina, inferior to real women
kek finally a YWNBAW post that was funny, altho this
guy served himself up on a platter
It's a good game with actual GAMEPLAY
It's a 6th gen game for 8th gen hardware
Yes, the game is outdated because I wasn't able to customize my genitals
What is it about PS2 game design (or really the same design that AC has had since 1997) that modern games miss - besides the obvious of not being designed to annoy you into buying MTX while being fundamentally fun enough to keep you playing.
>No microtransactions
>No online components pushed down your throat
>No "muh cinematics"
>No gay/black agenda (different times)
>Evolving technology, not all genres were set on stone for copying and pasting ad nauseam, tools for game development not as well established
>Limitations breeding creativity
It's pretty funny you mention cinematics, because FROM has historically made some bangers of cinematic cutscenes for AC. 5 is probably my favorite - that fever dream of war in the style of GWOT-era Sony Nightshot camcorder, and then the ACs rebuilding and rearming to do it again.
funfact about 5s trailer. A lot of the footage you see there is literally copies of footage from the initial invasionof Baghdad. Wacky stuff.
Try to find a modern game as fun as Burnout 3. I'll wait.
Deep Rock Galactic. But you definitely have a point. Most games are designed by people who play or have played WoW and it's a serious problem.
>Deep Rock Galactic
Never heard about that game.
>WoW
I played it until WOTLK and I still lament the lack of proper fun games.
i find it quite repetitive
Cause its GOTY
>I won't miss
This was the moment that I realized this was easily the GOTY for me. Whoever wins it's all cope in comparison to AC6
Because it's a PS2 game with modern graphics
Fuck Juggers and fuck SMART Cleaners
I finished the game (NG++). I have questions
I thought maybe she was Dolmayan's shizo wife but from what I can tell it's not really stated
>Why is the Liberator route any different than the Stargazer route? Liberator ends like 30s before Stargazer does, right? So what happens at the end of the Stargazer route? You release the coral, it spreads across the universe, everyone gets their own shizo wife?
Rusty gets sniped by the Coral Addled Walter in Liberator route.
In both liberator and stargazer routes?
>Who the fuck was Raven? It seemed like she was going to have some role to play, but she really was just some independent mercenary part of some random group called Branch that doesn't do anything? The CATAPRACT boss has a lot of shit to say about her so is the only lore here that she was maybe part of PCA? And for some reason spilled the beans to corps that coral was back?
>He is presumed kill and absorb in Allmind. The jap version has his voice as one of many.
Oh my fucking god so that WAS his voice I was hearing. I thought I was tripping and it was just a super modulated Iguazu
Jesus that's grim
>Who the fuck was Raven?
A mercenary who hated the space feds and let all the corporations in on coral still being present on Rubicon. The name "Raven" itself is a title that has been passed down in the past, and now again in the present of AC6. BRANCH and Raven, prior to the start of the game, also took out a space fed base.
>W-what happened to Rusty?
Dies in every ending (assimilated in the last one).
>Is Allmind just a rogue AI
Yes. This is common in AC.
>It seemed implied she was a coral wave like Ayre
>I thought maybe she was Dolmayan's shizo wife
An army of glowing red coral zombie mechs rises up and Ayre goes "Activating combat mode."
AAAAAAAAAAAA
Conflict never ends, what did you expect?
Violence is inescapable.
Rusty's voice is mixed into Allmind.
And its said when Iguazu asks who else you're gonna kill. Which means he's referencing Fires of Raven where you kill Rusty
All just simulation bro.
yeah thats what i mean, if the first two endings are simulations iguazu'd know about it
The movement mechanics of the 5th gen were underrated, and allowed for more interesting maps than previous entries - and I'm tired of pretending otherwise.
Having to go into that ugly blue filter for scan-mode was one of the 5th gen's biggest travesties.
Interesting but flawed entry, I wonder if they could bring back wall jumps in a AC6 expansion
True. Scan Modo, the damage triangle, and using scannig markers instead of radar were gay as fuck. Everything else was good.
The bugs in Act 3 really killed my drive to play BG3. I replayed 1 and 2 in anticipation too... fuck. I'll visit it again in 3 months.
>get 2, count 'em, TWO (You)'s
>filter catches them both
lol
I have been playing pvp for the last 6 hours and I am fucking having a blast.Fuck wheelchair fags, fuck those hyper laser beam one shot move users. There should be a weapon ban on each session.
What are the best kinetic guns? I'm trying to make a light-medium build focusing on whittling stagger from a distance and then going in for melee kills.
The only one worth a damn is the Harris.
railway guns beat them all by a mile, you can have them chase you and they won't expect the stagger and that super juicy charged attack that destroys the stagger bar. You could use the moonlight for follow up or whatever you want.
The only kinetic rifles worth a damn are Harris and Ransetsu-RF. I think laser rifles are better for long range tbh if you want to build stagger you can rely on back weapons
Scudder ain’t bad
It's okay but I don't see the reason to use it over the others unless you really detest spamming semi auto fire instead of holding down a button.
The burst ROF isn’t fast enough imo, Scudder allows for way better pressure
?si=2yLVR4E6d7XJigEt
what does he think?
>max
I remember his instant loss to SLAYER and laugh.
I think he said it's a 9/10. Only did the first ending though
The overreliance on boost (not the dodge boost or superboost, I mean the slip-and-slide boost) ruins it for me.
>dodge boost, slip n slide boost
There’s only three boosts: general boost which is movespeed, quick boosts which aren’t OP at all, and then the Uber charge assault boost
The skating reminds me of VOTOMS so I love it.
To each their own, I hate it. ZOE perfected the snappy mecha feeling, and Xenoblade X perfected the clunky mecha feeling IMO.
In fact, if AC6 controlled like Xenoblade, it would be better off.
I'd like ACs more if they actually had rollers like VOTOMs. It really doesnt make sense to grind your feet along the ground.
tiny little boosters on feet
No
Absolutely.
>would you keep Attitude Stability so that staggers can occur, just without the extra damage bursting?
No because that's the worst part. I'd rather have it all gone but if one part of it has to stay the extra damage is way less gay then the literal stagger.
I'm pretty sure it's been in most AC games in some form, so I wouldn't remove it, but I would certainly deemphasize it a bit.
It kind of was, but as hitstun. If you lacked the defense threshold of sorts versus what you got hit with, you'd "pause" in place repeatedly, locking you up to the point that enemy ACs could just stunlock you to death in the worst case circumstances. Apparently ACV/VD had this in a general mechanic altogether and could get you hitstunned by virtually anything, even basic machinegun fire.
>enabled overboosting forwards backwards and side to side
You can overboost dodge with a directional input, just not backwards or extra forwards.
>If you lacked the defense threshold of sorts versus what you got hit with, you'd "pause" in place repeatedly
The tradeoff being if your defense was that low you're almost certainly a speedy boy and can reliable dodge shots with enough skill.
Plus the only weapons that could lock you down were low damage handguns.
Double QB Jet duration by 30% across the board and increase QB Speeds by 20%
Sounds horrible, glad you’re not designing it
Nobody wants to play the clunky mecha pvp
>Nobody wants to play the clunky mecha pvp
Tons of people did for decades before casuals started showing up.
And now the fast, fun, and fluid mecha is the best selling mecha game of all time. Next you’re gonna whine that you’re an ac4 vet :/
Nah
I would restore the missing section of the damage triangle and make weapons which aren't focused on causing stagger or exploiting stagger actually worth using
Give all assault rifles and non-gatling MGs a 25% dmg and range boost and I'll be happy
Increasing range while leaving projectile velocity the same is going to do jack shit.
That's what the triangles in
are rereferring to
It feels to me like there is a nerf on all AP damage across the board, but a lot of weapons are still balanced around the extra point on the triangle existing.
Of course, that is WAY too reductive, I would hate to see every single weapon boiled down to those exact criteria, there should always be some variation and mixup, but as a general guideline that's pretty much what I envision.
and that's why coral weapons are the best
fuck your resistances too
>Pulse shields seem like the perfect opportunity to balance out impact vs direct damage builds
>Oh actually Pulse Shields are weak to impact rather than regular damage.
Yes.
Stagger is a crutch they implemented for zoomers.
No, because getting a boss to fall on its arse and unload everything into it is fun.
>i like do no damage outside of from designated fun time
AC6 was a mistake, DxM2 can't come out soon enough.
Especially because out of all ACs this one has the weakest customization. Still, love the game.
What bothers me is that in 3rd gen they had a crest and mirage part for almost everything with similar stats and the crest part had blockier aesthetics while mirage was more curvy so you could keep the stats you want without sacrificing too much for how you want to look. Here some parts from different sets clash so much and look uncanny.
>its an Ephemera Core with literally any other non Ephemera part episode
>Ephemera head
>mad stomp rad core with nachtreiher legs
Its looking good for us. I remember like a day after launch the US rep for fromsoft put out a statement saying yeah we've made enough to be good for making more AC.
Then you have shit like this https://twitter.com/BandaiNamcoUS/status/1699860089572626623?s=20
I'm expecting a big dlc before AC7 in a few years. Feels fucking good
I can't believe Armored Core went woke...
Who type B here?
>body type B
Why do Iguazus ears ring when ALLMIND is contacting him, like 621s do when Ayre is speaking.
Because BG3 is for trannies and AC6 is just a legitimately great game.
When are we going to sortie next, Raven?
I just started ng+. I didn't use wheelchair as much as I thought I would, based on what everyone says. Am I using it wrong? You just scoot around and don't get airborne or QB too much, right? Feels awful when you're trying to jump over a boss's attacks, though
Yeah, I'm just not playing your chinese owned game.
I'm just not.
Got a job for you, 621. I need you to wash my car. There are a lot of bugs stuck to the front. 621, make sure you use microfiber cloths and TWO buckets, I don't want any scratches or swirls on my paint!
The Kurosawa(?) and the laser pistols are the only energy weapons I actually have fun using.
Dual laspistols are actually pretty damn effective. Especially once you get the e wep boosting generators.
Fun thing: the energy weapon spec not only boosts damage, but also cuts down on charge time.
Its ok at best. Short with a tacked in PVP.
52 missions, not counting the missions you replay through during your three playthroughs to reach the final ending or the slightly altered missions you get in NG+ is not "short"
>52 missions
Most which take like 5 minutes tops.
Show my hound some respect.
He always gets the job done
>oh hi, i upgraded your ram
because it's actually fun to play, runs well and has no pozzed shit
>starting a thread inciting fanbase wars
i hope you're pretending to be retarded
What's the best control scheme for AC6? The default?
See
Only one I've used, so idk how it compares to the others.
Because it's absolute pure kino. No bullshit experience.
kawaii~
I've genuinely been having fun running 9 man singles lobbies just to see what the other kinds of builds are out there. Lots of horseshit meta stuff with double zims and missile boats but there's also some genuinely interesting strategies.
Last thread some fucking retard said Carla and gang call you visitor in the Japanese dub.
They fucking CLEARLY SAY MISTAUHHH. Why do people here say shit that they know nothing about?
I saw that shit. Mista' is so much better.
>going by his ears instead of what's written
lmao
Get better ears, its just engrish. Mister doesn't make sense in context, and visitor just fits you more.
It makes perfect sense you fucking dumbass
Visitor makes more sense, retard. Why do you think they translated it as Tourist instead of just mister, then?
English translators.
It says visitor in the nip text you dummy
Post it
Not him but
?si=RJaZpfpQKEHbC0jU&t=147
I can't read this.
>Can't hear
>Can't read
Based vegetable
i don't want to use broken weapons but honestly very few weapons feel as satisfying to use
It's fine, your gameplan is about getting that sweet pilebunker hit anyways
My loadout's the same though I have something to shoot while the zimmer's reloading.
I do this too. As long as you're not double Zimming you're not being cheap. Your shotgun is for staggers and the bunker is for really slapping shit.
>ywn experience the moment where Walter tells you destroy PCA ship and you panickly use assault boost to fly above the whole ship and a bunch of drones appears and you destroy the cabin
Dual neddle handgun with pike bunker
everyone's doing cool shit and I just did what I did when I was a boy and put together all the highest ap parts and big guns
When are we piloting ACs as big as this one?
>Attack and defend mode
>One of your teammate has option to operate an HC
Would be really fun
Part of me wishes that Ayre phase 2 had her full health regened and she uses a shield.
Now do Ayre.
coral oscillator coral moonlight coral missiles coral nebula, 350 speed 8500 ap
just S ranked the mission with this
the real "you didn't beat the game" is looking up builds to beat missions with instead of experimenting with your own stuff
therefore you will never ever have beaten the game.
Double lazer handguns and double trueno.
Did I beat the game?
>my setup isn't adapted to this boss
>hmmm i wonder what sort of other weapon could help my case
>HMMMMM
>which ones to choose now
>something more adapted to the situation
I did experiment though. In NG+ I wanted to go a fast build for my inevitable fight with Rusty. I decided I needed hit and run guns to be effective and make up for my low hp. Certain bosses (Ibis, Allmind) are rough to keep up with in super close melee range, so I gravitated towards shotguns with slightly more range to compensate.
It just so happens those exact guns are apparently very strong
and? clearly you're asking now.
Ok so you're saying as long as the first time I beat the boss, it was with my own build, then I did beat the game?
Then I guess I'm good here, thanks anon
Best weapon to snipe with in manual aim? I was using the 10-missile because nothing I had on me went far enough.
Do I need to destroy all 8 discs to get all journals? I barely deal with 4 of them.
Yes. Don't forget the sleeping tetrapods next to the data log.
Ok, I will leave it for later.
just bring songbirds and wait for them to charge you.
They should implement the Cataphract and need two guys for a pilot and weapons guy
>They should implement the Cataphract
>never looks at you
>invincible
Finally S ranked this mission with rifles. How's the S rank grind?
I didn't bother. I learn my lesson to not do these achievement after trying to get crowns from MH.
I S ranked all the "hard" missions easily so I'm not going to bother with the rest.
Pretty simple, actually. The bosses give you a lot of health leeway on the S-rank so it's mostly just being able to burst them down quickly. There's only a few tricky ones like strider escort that you might need a guide to cheese because fuck that mission
>double ducketts
>double laser drones
>light frame
Fun as fuck, no one expects the damage to build up. Having to fight tanks and tetrapods can be tense.
>Has mini cataphract wreckage
>Never see these as enemies.
Really wish they implemented more non bipedal enemies.
Where is that? Didn't you destroy the one Cataphrakt for the Liberation Army purely to keep the corps from getting it to reverse engineer?
Moshi moshi Snail speaking, Chartreuse? sorry wrong number.
Is there any way to avoid danage? This is my first AC and sometimes it just feels unavoidable.
youre not supposed to avoid ALL damage, just the big ones that deal thousands of AP as damage
some chip damage is practically unavoidable
big damage is always avoidable given you have some modicum of speed ( let's say above 300 )
Because this is pure video game, no le 100+hour gameplay and story
Pretty ironic that i spend 80+hour in ac6 and dropped bg3 after act 1 because how bored i was
yeah, this game was made for zoomies. You don't even have to aim!
no cap
video game ass video games are the ones that are easiest to sink tons of time into, because it's actually fun to just do stuff
as opposed to story focused shit that you play once
>t. 600 hours in Nioh 2 because dicking on demons and making builds is neat
I wonder how many time that newbie pilot died from entire player base since launch? 5 million?
>for fun
It's just a job, 621
I'm surprised how well this actually works in pvp, at least against zimmermans.
People really underestimate the explosive thrower.
probably because most people haven't encountered one
Considering what I went up against today, that's not surprising.
>Double Zimmerman
>Double Zimmerman
>Double Stungun
>Double Zimmerman
>Wheelchair playing keepaway
>Basho Arms Pilebunker
>Double Zimmerman
I can stagger lock the Enforcer boss between the explosive thrower and the spread bazooka.
Will we be seeing shotas in the near future if this series takes off again like the souls/Sekiro series did?
No fags allowed, have a nice day retard
I have a brief holiday next week. Should i get this or Dark Souls II? Ds2 is on sale for $30, but AC6 looks damn good.
I hope we get some cool ass mods, I want deathmatch and team deathmatch vs bots
I can't dodge Ibis laser attack. I'm pretty sure It doesn't hit me directly but I still get the damage.
it has an explosion on the ground, you have to be in the air
What am I supposed to with bird attack?
hope and pray it doesn't happen I have no idea that shit gets me every time
jump and dodge the opposite direction of the wing
You can do it on the ground but its hard to check
That was the only attack I ever punished, just stand there and it will miss.
I can't dodge her sword attacks. If this bitch decides to spam them, it's guaranted death for me.
literally dodge the opposite direction you were moving
she's leading those attacks to where you're going
any sweeping move can be dodge by jumping. The x slash is a speed check. if you have 320+ speed your QBs should be able to get you out of the way.
Otherwise you can go full tank and max your AP and stability and use stun needles, minigun and zimmer
Really great game, my only criticism is that I want more of it for more money and I don't want to wait years.
This game would have me by the balls if it was selling 10-mission packs for money. I'm glad it's just an honest complete game for my sake.
"MIA" was when I knew this game was goty.
G6…..
Fuck Ibis. It's impossible to dodge her attacks because Fromsofttards thought it was good idea to let enemies read your input
was it the X?
it was the X wasn't it
Those two are not related? She still cant dodge fast attacks up close and her attacks can easily be dodged with boosts and quick boosts.
Literally just dodge this by moving in the opposite direction you were moving.
Your speed is too slow. You can boost and qb out of the way. Every other move can be dodged by ABing at her and moving sideways when you hear a beep
I spent too long on this so,
Challenge: Make the best AC you can only using 2 brands.
Is the Ephemera head really its own thing and not part of RRI?
Oh, sorry. Drunk and just went for the first word I saw.
This list for real (haven't beaten the game yet) so I don't look too retarded.
That's a kinda fucked limitation because you have limited options for boosters/FCS/Generators
We can only get two sponsors for our AC, Raven.
Well since you don't need weapons to make a valid AC, and tank legs don't need a booster, there's probably more combinations to make a valid AC than the chart shows.
RaD + Arquebus ADD build that will make your opponent ragequit in PVP
Im surprised missile boats arent the meta instead zimzams.
What is point of those legs? The speed is awful?
It makes you a boat, you fall very slowly so once you get high up in the air you're a real pain, rain death from above and the longer you get ignored the more of a nuisance you are.
Okay. But what's the difference with tetrapods?
Forget what you know about AC builds from PVE missions floating missile boats are true cancer tier in multiplayer, you can make a better build than the one I posted since that's limited by that anon's parts challenge I replied to but there's not that many parts you need to swap out for a really strong PVP build
I'd probably go with double 2x8 missile launchers or the 10 vertical missiles for my shoulder slots but a lot of rocket loadouts can work surprisingly well with the Aperitif in your main hands
Going Arquebus + RRI can get you a pretty strong build without any big drawbacks
Spectator mode while waiting for a match would be nice too
Are you on console? As a PC master race user I have no problem finding opponents.
No I'm on PC
During prime time I can find an opponent in about 2 minutes, during any other daytime it takes 10+ minutes
Are you non-American or going for 2v2, 3v3 perhaps? I only do 1v1 and I find matches in less than 30 seconds.
>Are you non-American or going for 2v2, 3v3 perhaps?
I'm looking for 1v1s in europe
There it is. Sorry eurobro.
Send me your AOL screen name and ill send you some gameshark codes.
Because unless you have terminal brain damage how couldn't you find fun to control a giant robot flying around destroying everything in his path?
I did it, but it feels like I was really lucky. Honestly it was easier than Batleus or Sea Spider. The sword attacks are the only real problem.
>tfw have to wait for winter sale before i get to play it
most you get is a 10% discount
i was more thinking 50% off over at g2garden gnome
You might as well pirate at that point
Lemme help you out.
https://isthereanydeal.com/
^Legitimate deals
https://www.dlcompare.com/
^Uses sites that are known to have people steal credit card information to buy games and then resell them. I got AC6 from a dlcompare site, got the deluxe edition for 50 bucks, works for U.S. Steam.
guess that answers whether GreenManGaming and Fanatical are legit, at least, I got a $49 deal for AC6 on GMG
In fact look anon, 36 USD
https://www.dlcompare.com/games/100015547/buy-armored-core-vi-fires-of-rubicon-steam-key
Man I'm surprised that people still buy from Steam directly.
>Man I'm surprised that people still buy from Steam directly.
I used to until I realized that sales tax fucking sucks and I can get games online for a discount AND tax free.
you should get off Ganker and fix your situation instead
>9 player server up
>Winners rotate
Yep, it's gaming time.
Is there any reason not to just slaughter all of the goblins on sight? Is there anything to do with listening to Gut or making deals with them, if you aren't playing an evil route?
Anon, roleplay. Do you want to slaughter all the goblins? Do so. Do you not want to? Don't.
Maybe because daddy Ganker gave you permission to you fucking sheep
Don't see the appeal of this mecha garbage at all. I'm going back to dating sim 3.
My personal GOTY along with Starfield. It's just an overall satisfying game. They just need some more PVP content or even Co-op missions, like MGS Peace Walker.
Horde defense would be cool.
I want to fight balteus, jugger and roomba all at the same time.
I hope they made a dlc and improve the pvp, pvp right now sucks ass, i wish it has invasion
Alba turned me onto light bipeds and now I wanna fuck girly boys in the bum what's the manliest mecha archetype I can recreate to pray away the gay?
Something big with the heavy quad legs, heavy tank legs, battleship legs, or fat sazabi biped legs.
I love it when someone says "subarashi".
Did you buy all parts?
Yes and I have like 30 million credits leftover that I can't spend on anything. Going through all S ranks does that to motherfucker
I can't tell if this color scheme is good or bad.
its okay
It's the black right
it's good but you have too many shades
the mechs look best if it's obviously following a theme or the mech is limited to three colors only
so white, gold and black supports/trim
Last-Light MK II
Better or does it need less gold? Everything is down to 3 hues. I heavily reduced the reflectivity all non-gold parts. I also made the laser canon match the other guns in terms of gold content.
Some inspiration from the Soul Eater thread on /a/
How do you get gold color?
Mustard yellow, dull it a bit and max the shiny out.
He was a bit more golden earlier on.
Because it's better.
It's just a good videogame.
It’s soul
This game is pure kino
this line is so fucking campy and dumb, I'm surprised it's delivered in a way and in a moment where it actually doesn't feel cringe.
how is it campy or dumb?
Not that anon but nobody talks like that anon, and Rusty sure as hell doesn't talk like that. It's a line that sounds like it comes from Ayre actually. I think if I had to rewrite it, which I don't obviously I like it enough especially with the actor's delivery, I'd replace it with
>Let's show them there's a future for Rubicon, all or nothing
As a reference to what he says when he fires at the worm with the limiter off.
>use shotguns in every shooter if possible
>just love the feeling of high risk/high reward, getting close and dealing huge chunks of damage
>oh look a new AC came out, and it has shotguns that you can dual wield, how cool is that?
>find out they're OP and everyone considers them a crutch
guess I'm playing on easy mode then
They circle back around to being cool if commit to a shotguns only build
Get the hanger OS upgrade and put the other shotguns on your shoulders while dual-wielding zimmers, swap your shotguns after firing a salvo to cut your reload times in half
It takes a bit getting used to but it's a really fun playstyle
They stay broken as long as you’re doing dual zims. Pick any other shotgun combo if you don’t to trivialize the game.
You can quad shotgun in this game. You use two, switch two in the back, and repeat. You need to unlock the OS upgrade for it to use this feature.
Shotgun are easy mode how?
Vs any non-boss, everything works
Vs boss, specific weapons work even better
>Shotgun are easy mode how?
>easily clear all trash mobs
>easily clear all enemy ACs
>easily clear most bosses
>enough ammo to last through all missions
There's only like 2 bosses that shotguns struggle with and you can swap to gatling guns for those
Shotgun don't work vs Smart Cleaner
double shotguns + double stake launchers can melt him in seconds
It straight up does, just hit his face at the right time or literally just hop around and get the right angle to hit the volcano hole
No one said solely Zimmermans, but hell, I took Haldemanns into the endgame and the slaughtering is functionally the exact same beyond less range to my capabilities. Mix with pressure missiles to build ACS and damage, Stun Needles to nuke shit with shoulder snipers, or Songbirds and everything just fucking melts.
>easily clear all trash mobs
>easily clear all enemy ACs
>easily clear most bosses
>enough ammo to last through all missions
This but charged linear rifles. There are only like 2 bosses in the game where they're not good.
I'm at choice missions of chapter 5. How long till the end?
3 more missions
>Sea Spider is tough
>Farm tank threads + gatling + songbirds
>Now easy as fuck
So this is the power of using your brain
Daring today I see
That is the easiest way to fight Sea Spider tbh. Anything else is boring and slow cause he is a huge HP sponge and you need to stagger him
Here's my AC, Ravens.
Still didn't try tetrapods.
I guess it should be perfect against something like Sea Spyder.
Glad you approve, Ravens.
He looks cool as fuck
I tried playing with the Javelin Alpha but didn't have much success with it myself, nice to see someone else give it a chance
Got that chibi ALLMIND emblem code?
Augmented Human C4-621--Raven. Please find your requisition request fulfilled, please use this wisely.
6CB6ZQBZ5N3F
Thank you mommy ALLMIND.
I fucking love the default AC body parts.
That just a snoot dog head.
>pvp expansions went from terminal armor > assault armor > pulse armor
So whats next, people using bubbles to counter pulse armor?
>decided to try wheelchair after normal mecha
>actually don't understand how efficiently to control it
Anyone else?
Drift is abit retarded to learn but just think of it like racing.
Need a cloaking expansion
Surely allmind can let us have the tech
>NG++
>go up against Juggynaught
>two plasma rifles with two shoulder plasma cannons and the energy boosting generator
>melt him before Rusty even gets the order to fly away
>das it mane
Anyone got a Protoss Dragoon build?
>raven gets salty and has to bring in two mercs just to try to take you down
ntr route with his operator when
621 gets enough pussy as is
AI pussy doesn't count
>B3-1 didn't use repair kit like most of the AC bosses
Excuse me, what?
because it's fucking badass? like all of it
the gameplay the cool weapons the explosions the enemies the story the people on comms like handler walter and iguazu the setting the graphics the tinkering the other game modes
fuckin everything
it's like people thought badass shit was cool or something
Bros, Im just too in love with the Alba.
These missiles kinda suck. I was playing around with them on the trainer AC and was surprised how few were actually hitting. You're better off with the more "basic" missiles with a faster lock time (which is effectively added to your reload time as well)
These missle have the highest damage and impact out of ever other one. You dont just just shoot them as soon as it locks on to a target, youre supposed to fire them right before you break an enemies stagger or when there is an opening.
is there a way to zoom out the camera? on m+kb and my shoulder weapons are blocking out the crosshair
Here you go friend. Also a first person mod if you want to meme.

PVP 1v1 room open on pc global
keyword is AC6
What is that model from?
There's a gorillion rooms that use AC6 as a passcode, change it to something more unique
remade with AC0001
koikatsu
Do you have a link to the model?
5/8 right now
last few matches, probably 3 or 4 till im off
GGs all, thanks for the matchups.
I can't find the room.
I think it's a VR chat model that isn't released
Thanks for hosting.
fuck paradeus get off my board william
>I just realised that I wlll have to kill Carla in the NG+
I don't want to do it.
Just let your ai waifu take over, anon.
I just wanted the biggest shotguns in the game
not my fault they are broken
The biggest shotgun in the game is the scattered laser cannon.
Call me when I can play as u18
>First ending choose to do the simp ending where you helkp the rubiconians
>NG+ has extra missions for them but i will have to betray them in the end if i want both endings
should have spoilered myself i guess
code for that kate decal?
7G4YFFVUY07L
CMGUKBLXQ6YN
Kate and Allmind
it's just fun.
Game focuses too much on the cinematic experience nowadays.
Favorite mech is a giant shit that staggers like a lightweight with the speed of a heavyweight and whenever i pick it i lose.
What's your OS tuning like?
Gotta charge it in advance, also unlike with the pilebunker you can't boost-slide towards the enemy.
Damn dude your job security is falling apart.
Anon, the war is over.
Why are you still trying to kit out your mech?
What are the best OS Tuning skills to invest in?
You'll max them all out by the end of NG+, but obviously the damage of the weapons you use, damage mitigation, and assault armor.
Iguazu with his honest build
Because you are retarded soulsdrone that has no previous experience with Armored Core.
Do you think you're speaking for all AC fans when saying something like that?
>Raven, I'm detecting a massive seething surge building up.
>He's going to cry about armored core 6 being soulshit, Raven, evasive manoeuver now!
>"The wojak posters, the dolts at fromsoft... I had enough of you all, I am an AC veteran!"
>ONE... LAST... SHITPOST
>AC elitists finding anyone on the board enjoying AC6 to go full "BWAAHBWAAAHBWAAAAAAAH!" mode
ok
I can't make good build for Ayre. All light mecha builds barely damage her.
And I don't want to play as wheelchair/tank
Finished the Fires of Raven ending. Cheese it with 2 zams because couldn't make any good build.
This game is great. One of the best looking action games thanks to art direction and direction. Plot is also better than I expected. Pretty challenging and it was a lot of fun. GOTY for me.
why are you giving us your review like you finished the game?
There are major plot divergences in NG+ and NG++, along with the other endings. Since you're already kitted out it won't take long to beat them.
ALLMIND requests that you beat the game three times. We appreciate your support, augmented human c4-621.
Because BG3 is astroturfed by shills and bots
I AM ARQUEBUSSIN
I'M.. I'M CORAL RELEASING
Extremely good game, yet bg3 is vastly superior 🙂
bg3 is a half broken mess that is also unfinished. The game kept corrupting my fucking saves because the devs are shit.
Cool. Still not playing it Mr shill.
>The anonymous posters
>Those dolts in the threads
>And worst of all---you, the videogame enjoyer who stirred the discussion board!
>You sicken me! All of you!
>I'll crush you underfoot! I AM SHITPOSTER!
I'm on chapter 4 now and I have literally no fucking clue what anyone's motivations are, what coral is, or why anything is happening really.
That's okay. It's not a complicated story, and it's presented well enough.
That is normal, you are a cut up debt-slave that got pulled out of cryosleep in orbit, dropped onto the planet and told to kill shit. Everything will make sense by the time you get to NG+ and NG++ will be even better.
No way josay you're not making me play any more of this crap.
Fucking gen fours I swear to god
let me guess, you picked jp dub
Balam and Arquebus wants to get the Coral (sentient superfuel / drug mcguffin substance) for money
The PCA wants to close off the planet completely, so no one (but them) can get the Coral
The Liberation Front wants all three of them to fuck off forever.
Walter has his own secrit motivations
ALLMIND exists for all mercenaries.
Any questions?
Is ALLMIND a slut?
Extremely.
ALLMIND exists for all mercenaries.
S L U T
Here's some decals.
>5YY9XCK78G6X
>AAWR17ENHAG1
Have fun.
Cute bunny.
So let me get it clear. Ayre is just a voice in your drugged on Coral brain and ALLMIND is an AI with Kate being fake personality she created. The game have 0 waifus you could actually fuck.
Independent mercenary Kate Markson is a real person who likes you quite a lot. C wave mutation Ayre is fuel you inhaled and you should not listen to any hallucinations it gives you.
how did allmind know ayre name and how did it know she was with me? that was spooky in NG++ route
also fires of raven ending credits track is still the best out of 3
Allmind most likely could hear Ayre talk through the coral control device installed in 621.
my experience playing a game like bg3 is not comparable at all to a game like ac6.
how can you compare them as if they're the same category of game?
As satisfying as it is to land, I wish the pile-bunker had a more penetrating animation instead of the uppercut - more like Bloodborne.
true
why do shitposters love to reply to themselves
Nobody on this board is better company than myself.
It's all they have left
Laugh at them
I'd rather be killing them.
Ditto but why bother the fortie two percent will take care of that
>ayre saying t-this our 3rd time going on a sortie without waltuh
>fromsoftware game
I don't like where this is going bros
4 player horde mode when?
To beat the game you must have
anyone else like the coral anime weapons?
coral blade does crazy damage if you stagger and charge hit someone with it
It's just Daemon x Machina with more bosses and less anime girls.
A 6/10 game at best.
In a year where we have Resident Evil 4, Spider-Man 2 and Baldur's Gate 3, this game is a joke.
>sars
>Resident Evil 4
A fucking remake of a 18 y.o. game.
>Spider-Man 2
Literal snoyslop
>Baldur's Gate 3
Literally mediocre gameplay.
why is Iguazu such a bitch?
>gen-4 like (You)
>part of an elite squad unit and should be awesome
>turns out he's pretty much a hotheaded rookie next to this "nobody independent" that came out of nowhere with the same level of augs
>gets shown up at the Wall and had to eject like a bitch while (You) do it after he bragged
>keeps getting really annoying buzzing voice sounds in his head every time Ayre talks around him
>keeps trying to kill (You) out of slighted ego, and eventually just starts going the hitman hire route because he already got his ass decked so hard
>becomes a lynchpin in ALLMIND's plan to stop (You) so it can get its assimilation done
>manages to get control out of his sheer hatred for (You) and become a proverbial demigod of machinery and human
>still loses
Literally 621 just existing undermined everything about his existence, and then he wasn't even as Coral compatible for Contact in the end and still got bitchmode'd.
Lovely when you gays never spoiler your shit
Because it has soul and really great gameplay
Why are you trying to create an artificial flame war between two unrelated games?
They have severe brain damage basically lobotomized
You enjoy games where your eyes are blasted by disco lights. You enjoy the sensation of zooming around at high speed, because it reminds you of the time you speeding through the neighborhood high on acid.
Slow. Slow. Quick-Quick, Slow.
What's that Milk Tooth? Yes, this is a fun thread.
>practically infinite energy
>immortality
>can literally become GUNDAM
>gets own cute waifu
How can anyone say coral integration is not the best ending?
>but you are no longer human
So? Being a meatbag fucking sucks, doubly so in the fucked up world AC is set in.
>NOOOOOO YOU HAVE TO SHIT AND PISS AND FART AND SWEAT AND GET SICK AND DIE, IT'S HOW LE GOD DESIGNED IT!!!!
Total Humanoid Death.
621 is not a human when the game begins. He's not human the second he got gen 4 mods.
And the hilarious thing, Ayre is the most humane member of the cast despite being a wave lifeform that gained human sentience.
The movement feels really good, how did FROM do it?
Dare I say it? Best Fromsoftware game yet.
As much as I love everything else they made, this is their only game that made me go through New Game +, twice
Maybe that's because the campaign is 20 hours long?
Fromsoft's shorter games usually are really good the only other one I can think of is probably Bloodborne if you only stick to the main route and don't take any detours (obviously don't do that on a first time playthrough)
I don't think they have another game that's beatable in 20 hours on your first run, unless you're aiming to do it in that time for some reason. That's all I mean.
I don't get why I like this game so much but I couldn't stand to play Metal Wolf Chaos for more than an hour
>watch some gameplay of metal wolf chaos
>you look like a slightly bigger soldier with a comically oversized set of weirdly shaped nutsacks glued to your back
yikes, what is this mecha design?
>fighting rusty atop of the flying xylem
If this was an action game or an anime, he would've been the main character.
There is no greater threat than power without purpose, anon.
because it's not pozzed compared to the other 2 AAA game that came out.
It's just a video game, no agendas.
simple as
this game gave me the same feeling when I watched Top Gun Maverick
it's like a breath of fresh air
pew pew zoomies. No aiming! We FROMSOFT now!!!!!!!!!!!
