Do you not remember bringing up some random shit about lead that has nothing to do with your ignorance of classic sci-fi? I mean I know you retards have shit attention spans but if you forget that quickly you should probably go to a doctor.
I do. I appreciate what the team wanted to do with it. If it were it's own game; it would be an immsim ala Bioshock. The writing is amazing and the touches here and there make it a masterpiece of DLC to me.
Obviously it's issues were that they did it in Fallout New Vegas and they take away your stuff. Which I can deal with; but obviously others cannot, see pic related.
more like Chris Avellone hated fallout after New Vegas so he write the DLCs as one big finger to Bethesda and Obsidian. I mean Dead Money is literally just the song text to hotel california and Sawyer shat a brig when somebody on tumblr asked him that
Honest Hearts is alright, carried by JG's voice acting. Good environments. Fairly linear, but it's fun enough. It's the best of the DLCs and on par with Point Lookout.
Dead Money is utterly nonsensical plotwise and is just a dungeon crawler. It's Obsidian's Mothership Zeta. Very little to say about it. Some atmospheric environments but it's repetitive and dull.
Old World Blues is just a proto-Rick and Morty DLC. Equally nonsense writing, but while DM takes itself deathly seriously, OWB is, again, ahahahaha so random holds up spork i heckin love science. Needs a mod to stop the worldspace from breaking.
Lonesome Road has a plot, but it's terrible. It forces a backstory onto the Courier, introduces one of the most annoying and poorly-written characters in all of Fallout (this includes Brotherhood of Steel), and it all reeks of spite from Chris Avellone over his terrible idea of what Fallout should or shouldn't be. The player is railroaded hard, the subplot of the Tunnelers makes zero sense, but the environments ARE kinda cool.
Don't know if bait or just zoomer but OWB is a call back to 1950s pulp sci-fi and they did a pretty good job doing that. There are a ton of names in that DLC that are references to 1950s sci-fi movies and the characters fit perfectly. Genius scientist brains in a jar that regressed to their highschool years and have gone mad. All of the zany sci-fi stuff is a jarring contrast to the horrors they unleashed on the wasteland, e.g. Night Stalkers, which have probably killed hundreds of thousands of people after escaping Big MT among all the other horrible shit in Big MT like the Y-17 trauma harness.
I don't know why people don't understand you are supposed to find the humor unsettling. Because nothing about the scenario is actually funny but everyone involved in the Big MT has lost the plot.
That's the reason you meet the Think Tank before doing anything else. "Oh this is going to be the funny meme DLC," is what you get from that encounter and then when you discover what they've been doing and what kind of power they could have with essentially the minds of children, you realize that it's not funny at all, it's sad and a little bit horrifying.
The only bad NV DLC is Lonesome Road
It’s because most of the retards that say this shit only know about it from memes or clips they’ve seen. They probably heard the “penis fingers” line and immediately defaulted to Rick and Morty since that’s the only Whacky sci-fi they’ve ever seen.
>Dead Money is utterly nonsensical plotwise
It makes perfect sense, a billionaire simp retard fell for a girl then preemptively built a vault disguised as a casino so they could survive it together and then you know the rest of what happened.
>Old World Blues is just a proto-Rick and Morty
The surest sign of a zoomer is when the first thing they think off when whacky sci-fi shit comes up is Rick and Morty
>Old World Blues is just a proto-Rick and Morty DLC.
this comparison doesn't go any deeper than both having irreverant sci-fi premises. how you can miss the nuances of fucking rick and morty is beyond me.
I liked cheesy super science B movies and loved OWB. Zoomer adjacent slopsumers only think it's Rick and Morty since that's the depth of their pop culture knowledge.
Lonesome road=honest hearts>old world blues>dead money
I like Daniel, Joshua and Ulysses. I consider them the best written characters in video games. Hilarious how Sawyer wanted to diversify them because he didn't want them all to be white, get fucked gay. I love how unintentionally great they are.
I'm tired of pretending, I love OWB.
I love Big MT, I love the pulpy 50s sci-fi theming, I love the humor juxtaposed to cruel human experimentation, and I love the Sink NPCs.
Sawyer and Avellone explained it over the years
Basically Bethesda didn't try to control the project so it just grew and grew. This caused the story to be 100% unifnished and the DLC was mostly an attempt to try to put in some story stuff but ultimately Sawyer admitted even with another 'ten' dlc, the story was never going to be finished. Avelone on the other hand blamed Bethesda for not reigning them in when the project got too big
I wouldn't call them bad (except for maybe LR) but most of their content is antithetical to the appeal of Fallout. People like Fallout because of the large world, enemy and location variety, and different character interactions. OWB and HH are probably the top of the DLCs because they have those things. DM and LR have too much of the same enemies and same-y locations throughout their entire runs.
I am the only anon who likes Dead Money
I liked it too anon it was kino
I've beaten it 5 times and never ever played Dead Money
Nah dead money was cool
best one
>DM>OWB>LR>HH
>Old Reddit Blues
Look at this corny ass mf.
>he didnt get his bro Rex dogussy

(You) should go back.
Nah but if wacky zany humor is your thing and didn't immediately de-immerse you then I'm sure you'd fit right in.

It's no use anon, if you disagree with the Based & Redpilled hivemind on this site they'll lock arms and call you the R-word in unison
let it go anon
I enjoyed every DLC except for Honest Hearts.
I do. I appreciate what the team wanted to do with it. If it were it's own game; it would be an immsim ala Bioshock. The writing is amazing and the touches here and there make it a masterpiece of DLC to me.

im guilty of essential companions tbh
Honestly nothing wrong; not like I didn't TGM because I didn't want to bother playing with the shitty physics to carry a head out the vault.
Also because locking Elijah into the vault is too good of a proper ending to the DLC.
> All the mods Literally remove the soul
I beat this DLC at 14 with no knowledge of builds or other bullshit on 360.
Dead Money is probably the one I replay more than the others
i like it, complete bullshit that you're barred after completing it tho
Bethesda put a dialogue cap for voiced lines so Chris Avellone had to write around this.
more like Chris Avellone hated fallout after New Vegas so he write the DLCs as one big finger to Bethesda and Obsidian. I mean Dead Money is literally just the song text to hotel california and Sawyer shat a brig when somebody on tumblr asked him that
>Chris Avellone hated fallout after New Vegas
More like Fallout as a whole, which is why Ulysses exists.
I think they're mostly better than the base game honestly. Are they actually bad or is this just new Vegas contrarianism
I am the only anon who likes Honest Hearts and skips the rest
Yes

Shitty jokes are shitty regardless.

OWB was funny. You know it deep in your heart.
I liked cheesy super science B movies and loved OWB. Zoomer adjacent slopsumers only think it's Rick and Morty since that's the depth of their pop culture knowledge.
Huh, you were right.
Cheesy is boomer code for onions.
They're pretty good, though they feel way too short, probably because they're DLCs
>he hates kino hearts and peak money
I liked Fallout 3 more.

Bethesda forced them. Obsöydian just made the base game and never thought about DLC.
They aren't, you're just contrarian.
