they are hired drones meant to represent the interests of corporations
what did you expect?
they lie and give reviews based on who tells them to say/do what, not on any merits the game actually has or does not have. As the post above my own says; they are shills.
It's Banjo and Kazooie cosplaying as an open world game, and that structure works about as well as it did back in the N64. The skill tree, dodge roll, and counter are all just smokescreens. It's a collectathon and easier to digest when you compare it with stuff like Mario 64.
They're seeing a game that's "better than Forces" so that means it's automatically the best thing ever even though it's not difficult to be better than dog shit
I will say, people who write articles about games, are doing so in a way they need to just push out articles by the numbers. If you get paid per word/per article, do you really believe you'll sit around and pontificate on the value of your review? To spend time trying to look into why Saints 2022 is a dogshit fricked to death puddle of abscess-liquid or just to put a page up that says "Heh, well the jokes made my 7 year old son laugh, and it had those button-mashie-things I love and think are so innovative, so 10/10"? They don't understand the communities that follow games they review, nor do they understand things like Games as a Service, when related to online-only/internet required BS, that you pay 60 for a game, only for the developers to hold the keys and decide when and if they'll allow you to play. When they stop seeing the money come in, they shut down servers, and your property will never be able to be used again. The last time I saw a real "game journalist" speak on this beyond just saying "Well, ubisoft is shutting down another one of their games/servers"? Never. Ross from AccursedFarms is the only person I've seen yelling at clouds about it. Much respect to him. He's from the good side.
Why are critics and gamers so out of touch?
Because game journalists are nothing but shills now.
That makes no sense in this context.
They didn't get pad to shill for it and
is a fricking moron
yep. they are something of freelance shills contracted by the lazy parasitic scum that labels itself 'marketing' in AAA dev companies

stfu. This game is fricking trash. Even at 72/100 that score is way too fricking high let alone a 9/10. Sonic gays are mentally ill.
>stfu. This game is fricking trash
thank god we got some noone on the internet educating us with their untested dogshit opinion.

For once the game critics are actually closer to the truth than the normalgays
