This. Beginning of the end of any respect Nintendo had for Link as a character.

It's an overpriced port from a company that makes more money in a year than you will see in your lifetime

Bad design and gives Nier a run for its money with reused content

Motion controls are not an issue.
It's because SS is a horrible, bloated and physically painful to play mess that makes you do the same shit over and over again.
You want to go to a dungeon? Frick off, do the fetch quest beforehand.
    OVER AND OVER AGAIN

Playing it made me happy and I want to play it again someday. Motion controls are fun.

After this game I realized how important Hyrule Field is in OoT. Vast open space with no puzzles, providing a break from the dungeons.

I’ll be honest the dungeons are my least favorite parts in any Zelda game. I always enjoyed the quests and travel in between dungeons but actually arriving made me feel like “oh shit here we go again”

I'm in two minds about it. I kind of like that the game is all dungeon, with basically no down-time, but at the same time it does kind of break Zelda on a narrative level. You don't really feel like you're a guy exploring a world anymore, which is very integral to the feel of the earlier games.

Skyward Sword was the only Zelda game I liked enough to finish besides OoT

Played it again recently and I don't know. It's not perfect, but it doesn't deserve getting constantly shit on. Personal opinion but I prefer this to Twilight Princess by a mile. I'd probably like it more than with WW too if traversing the sky was more fun to do and you had more than Bamboo Island and Lumpy Pumpkin to visit.

I think most people who don't specifically have nostalgia for TP think this is better than TP. That was a pretty common sentiment at the time. TP really fell short of it's promise to be the next OOT, and was instead just a kind of so-so attempt to recreate OOT. For any flaws it has, I can at least congratulate SS for being a unique game.

I always liked it. It has its flaws for sure, but I really enjoyed the motion controls for the most part (bird flying and swimming was horrible though) and it has some of the best dungeons and boss fights in the series

    >Holds your hand too much, even for a Zelda title
    >Fi is the worst companion, serving as a mindless AI waif with a tacked on 'character' at the last minute
    >Said AI explains things that you yourself witness seconds beforehand, all is forgiven because it looks female
    >The combat is literally Simon Says and the few interesting aspects are few in-between
    >Controls are awkward, even back then
    >The sky is empty and barren. All the complaints about Wind Waker's sea apply here; at least Wind Waker had something to look at and even had things to find
    >You can't fly at night, immediately soured the game for me
    >The new races aren't interesting or engaging, the three gorons you encounter only showcase how weak they are overall
    >Disappointing bosses, The Imprisoned was a mixed bag and Tentalus was the biggest letdown in the game
    >Demise from a storytelling standpoint severely limits what can be done with the triforce trio

Pic related kinda saves Demise, alongside his design.

There are a lot of people who just straight wont admit motion controls can ever be good, even when they're done well. None of those people are ever going to be kind to Skyward Sword. It's not that bad of a game. Motion controls and the Wii itself were very uncool by the time it came out.

This is it right here. Eventually you just tune them out and enjoy the games regardless of if they have motion or not. Not to say every game with motion is good, but not every game with motion is bad or hampered by their inclusion. SS is an example of a games where I feel the experience is worse without motion.

Because there is a small, very vocal group of autists that exist only on Ganker that hate any Zelda games that aren't OoT or MM.
