Why are there always so many different editions for games? Do you guys always buy the most expensive ones?

What difference does it make, nobody is buying any of them

Kek. It's always telling that a studio would rather take the guaranteed payout from epic than put their game on the competitive market.

Guaranteed payout that is maybe 1/5 of what the game cost to make, lmao. The highest amount Epic ever paid for exclusivity was like 25 million

Not buying pozzed woke bullshit. Never will.

No. The most expensive one is usually just shit like some weapons or skins with maybe a case. That said you shouldn't be paying anything for saints row

nah usually if I see this kind of thing I pirate the game instead

no you moron you never buy games made by ubisoft.

100% of the hype/excitement you see online immediately vanishes the week after release because it's ALL PAID MARKETING and is followed by a massive wave of disproportionate disappointment by real people who fell for it.

Saints Row, despite appearances, is not a Ubisoft game

    >Midnight Suns has 4 fricking editions

It just guarantees I'll wait a few months for a sale because I'm not spending 60 bucks on an incomplete package. Also if it's just bonuses like a digital artbook I give no shits.

Give me a QRD on this? I wasn't in the thread where this originated. I assume it was low effort shilling that got called out but I want to see it with full context.

Basically there's the same shill thread getting posted all the time, the first few posts are literally always the same, and anons started ironically playing along, which is why you'll see stuff like "HUZZAH!" and "holy awesomesauce on a stick!", "I can't heckin wait!" etc.

Ubisoft's paid shilling team was so jarringly transparent at what they were doing here that the thread was left completely dumbfounded that they had even tried.

What the frick is that cover art, what happened??

Really 9x/10 it's not worth it. If it's an added weapon, a skin or a customization who cares. If it's actual content/gameplay I might consider it. I think the last edition I did something like this with was Far Cry 6 because it had those added modes with Joseph Seed and Vas etc. Those additions were attractive to me otherwise I don't.

To trick people, that way you don't know if

    >Standard: only game
    >Deluxe: Extra pointless shit
    >Ultimate: Season Pass

    or

    >Standard: only game
    >Deluxe: Season Pass
    >Ultimate: Extra pointless shit

So you always pick the more expensive one.

no editions = guaranteed normal income
special editions = chance of higher income

it costs basically nothing to make special editions compared to how much you can earn from doing it
there will always be suckers willing to pay extra

I buy the most expensive one years later for cheap.
