Why are there so few new IP on this thing? Nintendo used to be pretty original.

This tbh.
New Nintendo IPs? Let me think.
The Stretchers
ARMS
Labo
Good Job
Snipperclips
1-2 Switch
Sushi Strikers
Ring Fit
Astral Chain
From what I can think of. I can't think of anything new from Sony or Microsoft except Returnal? Is that what it's called?
>new IP is cardboard
It's actually the software that went on to become that Garbage Programming game. Also it's hilarious that morons on here were like "omg Nintendo can print their name on cardboard and drones will eat it up!!" When it happened to be one of the worst selling things Nintendo put out this gen.
Soulless new president that just chases what makes money
People hate new IP's. Nintendo is playing 4D chess by finessing their most beloved IP's and perfecting them. As well as providing fast, solid, responsive hardware.
I've never had a Nintendo console overheat or glitch out or be unable to play. They are tanks of hardware.
Why play new things when I can play old things I know?
GC : Pikmin
Wii: Sports series
Wii U: Splatoon
Switch: Arms
>Arms
Why are you confused?
>Arms
ARMS
Ring Fit Adventure
Labo
>Nintendo
>original
tendies????? explain??????
New IPs? They're not even releasing new games of their old IPs. Like the Switch doesn't even have its own Zelda or Mario Kart game. Every Nintendo console since the NES had their Zelda/Mario Kart. It's alk just ports and re-remasters.
They have too many IPs as it is, they don't need more. But one nice thing about Nintendo is that while they reuse IPs they tend to change a lot about them. Aside from Link, Ganon and Zelda each Zelda game tends to have a completely new cast of characters in what is usually a very different world. So BotW doesn't feel particularly the same as OoT or WW for example.
I disagree. One of the things I like about Zelda is all the similarities to the previous games. Most of the characters feel familiar and little things like all the recurring names, for example princess Ruto being named after a town from Zelda 2 and so on.
What you're talking about isn't really what I was. Indeed they tend to have a lot of references to previous games, but the actual characters and setting are very different from previous games. Even Zelda herself tends to be radically different in every game. The only characters who stay the same are Link (who isn't really a character) and ganon.
