When you buy a piece of merch or a game, you physically own that piece and no one can take it from you. When you buy an NFT, anyone can just take it and use it however they want, no matter what your digital blockchain receipt says.

The business she was assigned is some kind of exotic car rental service in LA that uses a blockchain membership scheme so wannabe rappers and influencer gays can own "shares" of Ferraris and Lamborghinis. Now maybe there could be some legitimate uses for the tech, but right now it's just a new way to scam people. It might be cool if they could use blockchain tech to track all the owners a Pokémon has had if its been traded multiple times, but we all know they're not going to do that.
