I don't think this is true, because mw2019 gave me a pretty close feeling as I used to get when playing something really good. I was 27 in 2019 so far from a kid.

A combination of you growing old (You already know all the tricks and tropes so it becomes increasingly harder to get a novel experience) and the gaming industry becoming increasingly risk adverse and refusing to innovate

Someone that holds Halo in high regard probably hasn't played many videogames, hard to not be impressed by stuff if all you did play was trash, i think the issue is that many people don't even put in the minimal effort to find out about other stuff.

It's been 22 fucking years and you're still trying to cause a flamewar over halo. Grow the fuck up anon. The people whose first game was Hali are already adults with kids

but you could always stop being obtuse instead but I can see it coming next you're you going to cope with some stupid reply
like you could have at least picked a decent console fps to fanboy over like timesplitters
but you choose gaylo of all things

Depends on the game. Maybe it's nostalgia or maybe it's because they were pioneer's of something but you're missing my point of the statement. There's only so many clones of a game before people become disinterested for something more novel.

Take a look at the vampire survivor clones. It has so many clones it's basically shovelware at this point and the genre hype died off over night. Now every new game in this genre needs to be distinct enough to attract attention to it. Same thing happens with other games - people need something increasingly novel or they won't even give your game a try. Doesn't even have to be gameplay related, could be just graphical but it needs SOMETHING compared to the original.

Another way you can look at it is by comparing people's taste in anime as they get older. At 13 it's harem fan service shit and by 30 people want something of substance and just get hazy eyes over the haremshit

I think every single person who complains about old Halo is either bad at video games and doesn't understand good mechanics, or mad that a popular game was on a platform they don't like, and was actually stupidly good. Basically, you're waste deep up your own ass if you hate old Halo.

It’s one of the few FPS games that actually requires a brain to play and brown fatherless incels with no testosterone in their bodies can’t handle it.

Oh dear, you just said a big nono on Ganker! You're not supposed to remind people you actually have to be good at Halo to really understand why it's a masterpiece of game design! Old Halo, of course. 343 and any retard peddling their trash don't have any say because they turned it into a hybrid twitch shooter that rewards reacting more than thinking. The refined, methodical game frustrates the shills and zoomers.

Halo is for the casual gamer, just like Call of Duty and pretty much every AAA game, are you trying to deny this?

You can easily compare Skyrim and Starfield. Guess developers just got lazy.

I don't see any difference, Skyrim was a casualized piece of shit too

              >even on consoles there are much better ones.
Now I definitely need to hear what they are.

Timesplitters, UT and Quake 3 got console ports too, regardless FPS as a genre kinda sucks and hasn't truly got better since the days of Doom, normies having no standards will lap that slop up.
