Why cant they make a compeling story for the Final fantasy games?

>star wars star wars star wars
what gives, anything with an emperor or rebels is star wars?
yes, people are retarded
The people who worked on those games have flat out said they were Star Wars fans and they drew direct inspiration from it. There's even dialog in the older FFs that directly reference the original Star Wars trilogy.
that doesn't mean the plot can be summed up with "lol star wars"
that isn't even the point
Remember when the grammar nazi kid turned 14 and started capitalizing the first letter of every word? Good times.
Also if you want them to write better stories send them your portfolio. You obviously know a lot more about writing then they do.
I did. What now
Be sure to check your spam box. Also maybe watch another movie besides Star Wars.
I did. What now
What movie did you watch?
Galaxy quest
that goes against their whole "murdering God" thing ever FF does
Name 3 FFs where that happens
Three in a row with 8, 9, and 10.
Miss on all three
>ultimecia
>necron
>yu yevon
none of those are gods
>ultimecia
>A powerful sorceress, her ultimate goal is to compress all time and space, in essence making herself one with existence as a whole to become "a living god"
>necron
>It represents death and existential dread itself. Necron's ultimate goal is to reduce everything to nothingness.
(somehow this isn't a god, okay, someone call the Romans because the bar is higher than we thought)
>yu yevon
>Yu Yevon appears as a bizarre, floating creature with hooks and a glowing emblem of Yevon for a face. The nature of this form is unexplained.
(created sin but apparently that's something anyone can do)
I don't know, maybe this is just a semantic argument, but none of them fucks seem like regular joe blow villains.
You could make the argument for Ultimecia and Necron but Yu Yevon is absolutely not a god. He's just a summoner who created Sin and sat inside there so long that he turned into a fiend running on autopilot.
It's quite literally explained that Yu Yevon was just the king of Zanarkand
Sounds like a cool guy, I'd love to get a burger with him.
Are you retarded? None of those were dieties.
The only FF games where you unironically kill a god/gods was Lightning Returns and arguably XIV.
lazy leddit thread
that explains why they keep bringing up star wars, at least.
And can you sum up the plot of the story in a one-line quip, possibly by alluding to star wars? (this should be easy!)
I cant because its not similar to star wars unlike FF
You did it just fine for the FFs that had no connection to Star Wars, why can't you do it now?
You said you were a better writer than the people who wrote FF and you just saw the movie so this should be simple.
They are similar even if they are not connected unlike GQ.
>any plot with good guy rebels is Star Wars
they did
Chains of Promathia is hands down the best FF/JRPG story ever told, but naturally Ganker is full of underage casualfags that dont play good games
>no seriously, if you play chains of the fragmented dynasty forgalthia 6 you can really understand what happened in lost cabinx vagrant fifty third 1/4!
There's too much shit to wade through to even bother. I don't even know what the fuck Chains of Promathia is supposed to even be.
>no seriously, if you play chains of the fragmented dynasty forgalthia 6 you can really understand what happened in lost cabinx vagrant fifty third 1/4!
What the fuck are you even trying to say?
>I don't even know what the fuck Chains of Promathia is supposed to even be.
Final Fantasy XI
MMOfags deserve to be hung en masse
XIV says hello. I have literally 15,000 hours in it and have cried for over 2,000 hours at the depth of the characters.
