The Force is by default the force of the harmony. Using The Force in unnatural way Sith Lords do corrupts The Force locally around the bad egoistic guy, which in turn corrupts him further, and that shit goes back and forth indefinitely either until bad guy dies, is killed or is somehow convinced to stop "screaming" in a chamber with such a good echo, that pain from loud echo forced the guy to attempt to scream louder to block the slind of echo with his own sound, only making things worse. So, Sith Lords are self-destructing morons, who just can't stop without external intervention of such deep and hard event, that it would force its way through egoism and give that fricker a divine fricking revelation about the nature of The Force being about harmony.

The Force does not create psychos. Psychos start to stir up The Force around them, which corrupts The Force around them, which corrupts psychos (and everything around them). And then cycle continues. The Force is never the initiator itself. Male psycho stop doing this shit - and everythinhg goes normal.

Lol. Space Hitlers will keep appearing just as often it is a part of human nature, but now to stop them you can't send a single jedi to infiltrate into the core of an enemy citadel/battleship easily.
Space Hitlers will always find a way to amass armies - even without sith influence fricking mandalorians are still bloodthirsty trigger-happy military gays, not to mention various droids, rodians and other hutts (who already thrive because of personal immunity to The Force persuasion - and now their henchmen wouldn't be stopped too).
By talking some sense into Sith one can stop huge rampage purely by making now ex-sith's mind calm and in harmony with The Force = with life and peace. You wouldn't be able to pull this shit without The Force. Force mindflow changes work both ways - the calmer The Force, the less conflicts there is. And without The Force conflicts will arise completely uncontrollable.

There are very few sith dictators at each single moment if time because they either kill each other or introduce rules of two - which leads to a singular dictator building all of his empire around himself personally, making himself irreplaceable - which means his elimination will frick up entire bad shit into oblivion save for some much lesser consequences.
Sith also dominate or kill various non-sith dictators into his own himself-centered empire.
In the end you can kill sith, and his empire will crumble top, just like Dracula's castle in Castlevania.
Without them you'll receive a shitload of uncontrollable lesser dictators throughout the galaxy - and on stopping one you'll instantly receive his right hand/successor becoming another one. And this, along with constant wars, will be everywhere - and you just wouldn't have enough forces to stop all of them.

                Anonymous

                This is stupid.
The scale of death and destruction is way way way way bigger when sith get invovled and there is no way to deny that.
                >There are very few sith dictators at each single moment if time because they either kill each other or introduce rules of two - which leads to a singular dictator building all of his empire around himself personally, making himself irreplaceable - which means his elimination will frick up entire bad shit into oblivion save for some much lesser consequences.
His student can take his place or some other guy will fill the power vaccum. Even if the empire falls eventually it will be a slow and painful process for almost everyone involved leading to even more death and destruction.
                >In the end you can kill sith, and his empire will crumble top, just like Dracula's castle in Castlevania.
Ahh yes because killing sith is so easy
                >Without them you'll receive a shitload of uncontrollable lesser dictators throughout the galaxy - and on stopping one you'll instantly receive his right hand/successor becoming another one. And this, along with constant wars, will be everywhere - and you just wouldn't have enough forces to stop all of them.
Normal people can just take care of those. If taking out a sith is as easy as you say then its should be even easier to take out some random butthole dictator.

                Anonymous

Nah, it would be at least the same, more likely sith one would be lower, as forces are concentrated on creating an empire rather than "killing each and everyone because their stupid city is on a planet local tyrant wants fully for himself, but can't control" multiplied by the amount of planets and factions in the galaxy.
His student will most likely be a line of defence instead of hidden successor. Or even the one to kill main sith.
Killing sith provided you have a jedi order is much easier than killing an entire army without said order.
Normal people will have a chance with each particular dictator, which will lead to endless conflicts everywhere non-stop. Problem is not taking out a single dictator. It is taking out thousands and thousands of them with all of them being much more replaceable, that a sith lord (if only because becoming a powerful sith lord takes a lot of time and training.
With sith lords existing as a concept big huge fights happen once every fifty to hundred years or so, during which rest of the galaxy take sides and tries to stay away from actual conflicts as far as possible, because they fear, that sith might consider them too wienery and kill them just because. With time between sith lords being relatively peaceful as a result of war fatigue.
Without sith lords conflicts will just keep coming up, because whi cares, if a hutt from Tatooine have local interplanetary gang war with Kashyks slavers. And this will be everywhere non-stop just because there would be no bigger fish to fear.

And, as an addition, Jolee's story about Force balancing stuff and a certain jedi, who by being thrown personally into ship's reactor had managed to inadvertedly cause ship's destruction along with a very powerful sith. Killing a single person is easy. If we would go for KotOR 2 specifically - very easy through trained assassins, Atton btw.

The fact that something calling itself a Trade Federation could have a bigger army and navy than the entire Republic (which had no army at all) and was allowed to lay siege to an entire planet over a taxation dispute indicates that the Republic wasn't "fine" in the slightest.

And then when Palpatine starts really gunning for them, it doesn't take too much effort to convince a whole bunch of planets that armed conflict is the way to leave the Republic and address their grievances with how it operates. That sort of thing doesn't just happen because a man in a cloak offers them a good time, he had to be preying on some serious long term issues and resentments.

            >she's just an old woman who fell from power and instead of blaming herself for her own downfall she blames the force

Both can be true. Kreia's philosophy is basically that the Force doesn't care about anyone - it just toys with people, using them as puppets. Almost as if it were some kind of (collection of) author(s) writing a bunch of similar-themed stories with characters and having them live, fight, suffer, triumph, and die for the sake of the same story over and over again: bad guy/empire gains power, good guys/alliance fight to stop him, billions must die to give an impression of stakes. At the end of the story, nothing fundamentally changes and we move on to the next iteration of the same story.

I hope he gets assigned a carebears rpg so he can rant about how the carebear beams are actually morally wrong or some other stupid shit.

The force is a living thing that decides how all of the universe is run, all life in the galaxy dances to its tune and none but the sensitive are able to really understand this.
Thus you either follow the force as a living thing and do as it wishes, granting you benefits. Or you try to fight against it and control it so that you can reap the benefits, but will always struggle against an entity that controls all of life on a micro and macro level.

She's an atheist that wants to kill a conceptual living force of nature that actively and passively affects everything.
I don't understand how or why she thinks its a good idea.

I think Kreia admits that she can't kill the Force, with her objective as I understand it being to kill the Jedi Exile on Malachor in order to create some kind of resonant wound in the Force that would bounce back and forth between the Exile's death and the destruction of Malachor until the 'background noise' made it impossible for the Force to influence the Star Wars galaxy, leaving everyone cut off from 'fate'

If that's true, wouldn't it mean every force sensitive person would have to cut themselves off from the force in order to "survive" like the exile did?

Don't bother, the story went way over their heads
Somehow they still think Kreia wanted to kill the Exile when it was an obvious LARP that she drops as soon as you defeat her

Well, to be frank, she literally tells the Exile she will betrays her since day one.

Then she explains at length she will betray the Exile.

Then later on she says she will betrays the Exile again.

        Then she betrays the Exile.

I mean, it's a miracle my fricking Sith Dark Side Exile does not have the possibility to throw her out of the airlock. I don't fricking care about her atheism or some gay ass philosophy she's peddling between snorting coke, I fricking care she tells you, point blank, that she will betray you, and then proceed to do so, and we're supposed to act surprised. I've genuinely never seen a character in a CRPG most deserving of death and most plot contrived into the story.

I dont get why brainlets dont understand her? She lays it all out for you, she wants to remove the force or at least remove peoples reliance on the force.

And if you rely on yourself and your own strength throughout the game she never gets angry with you. Theres a few options where you must use the force as a crutch in which she will school you but as long as you say "I understand and will learn from this" she is satisfied and a very easy character to get high relations with.

Unironically my favourite Star Wars character and makes me so depressed we'll never get KOTOR 2 writing on a star wars game again. Does Avellone even still work for Obsidian?

KotOR 2 has a good writing as a standalone project outside of Star Wars universe.
KotOR 2 is a horrible game for Star Wars universe because it outright ignores laws of the universe, tone of originals and treats the world as "normal" universe with a mental galaxy-wide parasite instead of harmonious force, uniting all life.

          >So did the prequels
          Doesn't make them good.
          >the internet has been collectively fellating George's bold vision for those in the wake of everything after being even worse
So? Doesn't make prequels good. Your logic is "if someone commits worse atrocity than Hitler, Hitler is now a good guy". It doesn't work like that.

If George Lucas can do it to his own creation, EU writers can do it to his creation. The "tone of the originals" is not fricking sancrosanct.

She couldn't handle the fact that she had failed as a teacher twice, once as a Jedi and once as a Sith. She wanted to believe that it wasn't actually her fault; that Revan fell to the Dark Side and Nihilus and Sion ended up the way they did.
She was desperate to use the Exile to "prove" that actually she was right all along and the other Jedi Masters along with Nihilus and Sion were wrong to cast her out.
And if the Exile failed to do that, then she was just going to flip the table and use him/her to kill the Force in its entirety since that would have forced the entire galaxy to follow her philosophy, even if it killed the majority of life in the universe as well as the closest thing there was to God itself.

She never seriously intended to kill the Force. She manipulates the Exile into helping kill the Jedi Council out of spite and ending the threat Sion and Nihilus posed because she was incapable of doing it herself. She coerces the Exile into coming to Malachor to kill her to put down her last failure, herself, without actually harming the Exile through simple suicide. Her final words are encouraging the Exile to do whatever it is they want to do, live in exile, found a new Jedi Order, whatever, so long as it's what they personally want out of life and not the will of the Force or the dictates of Jedi or Sith philosophy.

She also fellates Revan for being just about the only Jedi to fall to the Dark Side without it subsuming his entire personality, 'switching sides' when it became more pragmatic to do so in pursuit of the greater goal he always had.
