Quickplay update.
I missed out on it, sometimes I wonder what it'd be like to play it in it's prime, a man can dream, if nothing else.
Gun mettle update
After 1250 hours, I got bored. It's not a bad game but it became souless that I lost interest.
I haven't
bump
I'll hop back on randomly for around 50-100 hours then drop it for a year.
>play like shit
>practice a bit
>get back to my pubstomper groove
>get bored and quit
I was done playing for the day.
when they got rid of idling for hats
They turned it back on though the drop rate is very rare
Valve troons ruined it and killed community servers with meet your match
I actually just shut it down now to browse Ganker for 20 minutes before work
they ruined everything fun about the game
For some reason it runs really bad and slow even more so than it used to, and not being able to keep a consistent high frame rate really rubs me the wrong way in 2022 especially for a 15-year-old game
Works fine on my laptop
It's because the game isn't optimized for modern hardware and they keep adding hats
Your CPU is dying, bro.
Source games are more CPU intensive than GPU.
Apparently it's because of all the cosmetic effects.
They dedicated a(nother) major update to the shittiest, most overpowered class (Pyro) and never fulfilled their promise to update the shittiest, most underpowered class (Heavy)
bots
I didn't. I play every weekend on a server where a bunch of regulars come together to micspam good music and funny voice clips that include tons of racial slurs, while any newbie who comes in and tries to talk on the mic gets instantly banned. It's great.
Sounds like a gay ole time.
Just got tired of it, I suppose.
the patch that added competitive queue killed it
I stopped playing?
I'm on a bit of a break now, but I haven't definitively stopped. I might not until I die.
Shortly after Jungle Inferno.
I play tf2 classic every day now
Meet Your Match in 2016. It's a good thing they killed my enjoyment because I was hard addicted and turning into a true autist with 100hr/past2weeks sweatbucket nolifing right as I was about to stop being a teenager. Like some of you currently still are as you approach your 30s. Not good bros.
Also with the state of the game since the bot shit it blows my mind many of you still play. You must seriously be some kind of drooling mongaloid IRL to not grow up and move on when a video game is genuinely not playable. Too comfortable with something you're familiar with and already good at I imagine. But it's just a fricking game dude. A real shit one these days too.
>genuinely not playable
It's perfectly playable.
Yeah that's right. In your little minds you've clouded with delusion, hundreds of literal AI bots running around aimbotting hosted by some random in a basement, who weren't dealt with for multiple years apparently as the company who still profits from the game refuses to fix anything... Is normal and playable.
But I know you solution. Having fun with Unclegay's ruleset or getting skillbanned on Skial? That's the TF2 we all remember right?
Was just playing casual last night with no bots, and when there were they get kicked instantly
Don't pretend its a bigger problem than it is, even if it is still one
>Want to play MVM
>Ticket prices on the market have sky rocketed
Frick.
The matchmaking shit which I was so hyped for was dogshit.
Ranked was fricked and calibrates wrong, the social matchmaking list was filled with hackers because for some reason VAC sucks
It also ruined a bunch of community servers in the process
It's probably fixed a bit now, but if there's nothing new but 'localization fixes' I'm not missing much by not playing
hated the playerbase
bunch of weird dickheads
Stopped playing during the peak of the bot stuff. Started playing again this month and it's just as good as I remember
I started playing again late July and occasionally wonder if I made a mistake
You don't stop playing it, you just take breaks.
Lots of a bad noobs. I thought the game was simple and intuitive, but apparently simple concepts like checking for spies or building teleporters is too complicated for some. I tried playing it again last year and it was like nobody knew how to play the game.
>tfw you will get occasionally get called out for cheating when you're just moving your mouse
Casual is filled with aimlets.
Maget Engie went down
guuuuuuuurk
When literally every server had at least 2 bots constantly in them and kicking them became a background thing that you had to do every moment of every match
I picked it back up recently and it's way better now, but it feels like at any moment all those thousands of bots can just come back
I'm enjoying my time while it lasts
The bots still make it through. It's just less common now.
- too many moronic weapons
- cosmetic items completely ruined the vibe and atmosphere of the game
Weabootique shut down. And I honestly can't justify giving any more of my life to this game than I already have, no matter how good it is.
It's back up. I got kicked for muting someone the other day.
Too busy downloading hentai.
I played yesterday. I stopped playing because I was done for the day and had other things to do.
Was EUTZ playing a USTZ man's game. Couldn't keep up with my old partyvan bros till 5am anymore. I loved those times...
Soldier and the lack of a single fricking community server that runs even one map or gamemode I enjoy in over 4 years. Even L4D2's alternative game-modes get played from time to time, but you'd be hard pressed to find a fricking game of Asteroid, Arena, PASS time, or literally anything that isn't 2fort, Dustbowl, and Hightower. It's not worth my time anymore.
