What I’m really wondering is about Sora’s mother.
Sora literally just abandoned her one day and never came back, never once even mentioning her or his home
Nomura doesn't seem to like family connections in general, he avoids it in most of his games.
The exception being the pre-existing family elements in Disney movies.
>Nomura doesn't seem to like family connections in general, he avoids it in most of his games.
This isn't true. The only game he's directed outside Kingdom Hearts TWEWY and FF7 Remake was Versus XIII. In Versus XIII the entire game revolved around Noctis and his family, his butler, his relatives, his personal guard and his father the king. And Nomura has mentioned many times Versus XIII is closer to what he actually likes versus Kingdom Hearts which he likes but not as much.
>Versus XIII is closer to what he actually likes versus Kingdom Hearts which he likes but not as much.
If that's the case, is Nomura into the Wire or Psycho-Pass?
Simple and Clean is basically about knowing that a relationship is doomed to end but still treasuring the last moments. It doesn't really have anything to do with KH1's plot because it wasn't written for KH1. You could maybe stretch it and say they share some melancholy. KH2/KH3's songs were actually written for the games.
NTA and I agree with you guys but it's 2023 most people nowadays will see two same sex characters make eye contact for more than 10 seconds and they'll think they want to fuck
>most people nowadays will see two same sex characters make eye contact for more than 10 seconds and they'll think they want to fuck
No, just mentally ill people like you who have been groomed throughout their formative years.
Most people do not actually think that.

Honestly crazy to see nasty people like you be KH fans. But I guess a lot of these types of games have some nasty fans.
Sora and Riku aren't gay, but there was a long stretch of time between KH2 and KH3 where Kairi was shunted out of the story and every game was "Look how much Sora and Riku care/think/feel about each other" that really felt like fujobaiting, at least.
I literally fucking shat myself when this showed up in the secret episode after you beat/lose to Yozora. I think its literally a first in the entire game industry for a director to bait remaking a canceled game like this. Nomura has balls of absolute titanium, I only hope he follows through on it >Verum Rex isnt Versus XIII
Yeah yeah, and Dark Souls isnt Demons Souls
Nomura is a bad influence for the industry. Now even his old friend, Takahashi is also follows his footsteps and trying to revive Xenosaga through Xenoblade series
At least all the replicas/data/ansem-darkness thing are gone and we don't have completely identical characters coexisting while we're supposed to pretend they're different like with Ventus/Roxas.
KH3 made me hate "Axel" and Roxas. They stopped being characters and became a flanderization of how fans perceive them. Unfunny fourth wall breaking meta jokes and the descending from heavens while dool wielding, what a shame.
I still don't understand why Ventus has to look exactly like Roxas. Xemnas is the nobody of Terranort(???) but clearly didn't look exactly the same. Why couldn't Ventus just look kinda similar?
>Other way around. Roxas looks like Ventus.
Okay but technically Ventus was made up by Nomura after Roxas correct? So he willingly regurgitated an established design again, was that part of his master plan all along even though it was established that nobodies didn't have to look exactly like the person they were formed from?
>plus it adds some more mysteries and complexity to Roxas.
It really doesn't, he was a complete character that was interesting as the nobody of Sora in the game he was introduced with the addition of 358 Days. Then having Ventus just look like Roxas for seemingly no reason other than people insisting it's because of some mumbo jumbo about Sora sharing Ventus' heart adds NOTHING to Roxas as a character, it's only a superficial way to add mystery to Ventus and even then there's not really a good reason for it. They look the same just because and now because of KH3 they also have to coexists along side each other and look like Twins, it's just bullshit.
You're either underage or a bandwagoning homosexual, everyone knows why.
fuck off

>adds NOTHING to Roxas as a character
Except for the fact that he's his own person with his own heart (Ventus) inside of Sora. It changes our whole perception of things. Ventus was supposed to be Roxas, he wasn't created just to explain why Sora's nobody has blonde hair.

>he wasn't created just to explain why Sora's nobody has blonde hair.
Really? Because he's so unnecessary to plot that's exactly what it feels like. Roxas in KH2 shows and proves his individuality from Sora and is a theme carried on through all nobodies including Xemnas. What does Ventus add onto that? Practically nothing, I don't even know how to describe him as a character to begin with. He was supposed to be Roxas? Roxas works so well as a character because he's Roxas, his own character not relating to anyone else except tragically being the Nobody of the real hero of the story and a victim of circumstance. If anything, bringing Ventus into the mix only serves to devalue his character

You're right for feeling that way. "Why Sora's nobody has blonde hair" is ultimately what Nomura pivoted to regarding Ventus/Roxas after BBS Volume 2 got canned and with KH3 where they coexist as two identical characters with no distinguishing characteristics. It's dumb.

Ventus is from the OG keyblade war and Vanitas came from the beings who were part of that war and who MoM is trying to kill. Ventus also helped teach Sora 'my friends are my power'
My favourite KH character is Winnie the Pooh I don't care about who is important or not lol

>My favourite KH character is Winnie the Pooh I don't care about who is important or not lol
At least there isn't a character named Vinnie the Blue who looks and acts exactly the same as Winnie and is the vessel/origin of his soul/appearance from hundreds of years ago. That'd be fucking stupid, all you need is Winnie the Pooh
What is even the point of Ventus? He has to be the most nothing character in the series. BBS would be significantly improved if it was just Terra vs. Xehanort and Aqua vs. Vanitas. Just BS some reason for Vanitas to be evil Sora.
Retroactively speaking (ignoring KHUX stuff), he serves no purpose. His story in BBS, revolving around his connection to Sora's heart is "why Mickey didn't have a shirt in KH1" levels of pointless since it only amounts to Ventus not dying and an explanation for Roxas' design (which was intentionally changed in 2FM to look less like Sora and more like Ven).
when you are older you'll understand
What I’m really wondering is about Sora’s mother.
Sora literally just abandoned her one day and never came back, never once even mentioning her or his home
>MoM: I SAID DINNER'S READY
At this point I'm starting to think Nomura just forgot these kids had Parents
Nomura doesn't seem to like family connections in general, he avoids it in most of his games.

Nigga how dare you forget about Kairi's Grandma
>Nomura just forgot these kids had Parents
I mean this is the same man that thinks deep friendships form quickly through brief interactions.
Sora was forgotten by almost everyone during the events of CoM. Then kh2 happened and he went back home afterwards.
Fun fact Sora's mom is voiced by Dexter's mom from Dexter's lab
Is Sora's Mom just as thicc?
His dad was... well, lets say a little controversial

>it doesn’t have to do with kh1
Isn’t that the whole point of Sora and Riku in the first game?
If you buy into the fujo conspiracy that the franchise is about Sora and Riku being gay for each other and Utada is in on it, then maybe.
Sira and Riku are not gay. Niggas literally don't understand what friendship means anymore
NTA and I agree with you guys but it's 2023 most people nowadays will see two same sex characters make eye contact for more than 10 seconds and they'll think they want to fuck

Lol. Lmao even.

What do the green and blue squares and to this meme? Why are they there?
It's a trashy political compass reddit template meme.

A relationship isn’t always romantic, anon…
>because it wasn't written for KH1
This.
The original context is vastly different.
Yozora's Cutscene is Kino

You autists don't actually follow the KH story do you? These games are just disney theme parks
Disney themeparks actually have a story to go with them too though
I dont think life is quite that simple
This was really stupid.
You think that was stupid?
Check this out
At least all the replicas/data/ansem-darkness thing are gone and we don't have completely identical characters coexisting while we're supposed to pretend they're different like with Ventus/Roxas.
ventus/roxas was absolute kino

Sora's nobody took on the look of Ventus because Ventus' heart was in Sora at that time, I think.

Okay but technically Ventus was made up by Nomura after Roxas correct? So he willingly regurgitated an established design again, was that part of his master plan all along even though it was established that nobodies didn't have to look exactly like the person they were formed from?
it had everyone speculating about the kh2 secret ending thats why he did it
Because Nomura intended for them to be the same character.
but why
He wanted to continue the series after KH2 plus it adds some more mysteries and complexity to Roxas.
>plus it adds some more mysteries and complexity to Roxas.

The fangirls won, now they can write all the selfcest fanfics they desire
I hate what Kingdom Hearts became
