hate blizzard but they're right. If a new game launches these days players will immediately start complaining that they aren't getting updates from the devs about the upcoming content, demand balance patches every two weeks and new content every 3 weeks at the latest. I've seen a game pretty much go belly up for a lot of reasons but one of them was the playerbase losing their minds because the devs did balance updates maybe once a month and added new content every 60-90 days.
Maybe if games wasn't released 3 years before they where finished, all that wouldn't be needed.
Games fall in to two categories at this point: live service and full package. You can’t half ass live service games because you’ve got industry titans who’ve been running for decades, and you can’t half ass full package games because we’ve got thousands of full package games you can be playing right now that aren’t bug ridden messes.

The problem is that the loudest people are the spergs that blitz through content that's supposed to take a month or two to finish, and they do it in a week of giant poopsock sessions.
If im not mistaken, one old everquest sperg like this basically ruined the game, constantly complaining about lack of content when he and his guild would finish all content super fast.

You devs went for the GaaS model because you wanted the money, so now you are stuck trying to out-compete on providing that service. You wanted to sell us bits and pieces of the game as DLC, we didn't want this. You wanted an excuse to have always online DRM, we didn't want this. This is a self-inflicted wound. And you still got outsold by an incomplete sandbox game from some fat fuck where the users created most of their own content. Figure it out and unfuck yourselves.
