Don't need to worry about that if you get a PC unless you choose to. Seriously, stop buying console (toys).

To give insecure PCgays that pseudo-validation they so desperately need to justify that their GPU was $1900 + tip. See as a conveniently provided example.

You can use AMD if you want. You can also choose NVIDIA. You have the option and the choice is all I'm saying, which is more than you get with consoles which are just gimped, neutered PCs.

the PS5 is not only powerful but also it's way easier to optimize games for it than pc
you need to bruteforce power with expensive components just to match PS5 performance in any game

i spent ~600€ on my PC, mounted it it myself (only took ~45 minutes) and most if not all of the gaymes I play (mostly the only ones worth playing) run pretty good. I also use it for CAD design for work, so that's a plus

AMD allows for better customization than Nvidia and is generally a better company to work with.

Because both Sony and MS got fricked over by Nvidia on their previous consoles and developing their own GPUs isn't really viable these days.
So it's either AMD or... PowerVR? Not a whole lot of competition left in the GPU space

why does xbox rdna 2 make no difference in any game compared to ps5?

      Anonymous

Because sony pays developers to have same or worse performance on xbox. Xbox is 20% more powerful, there is no way for games to run worse unless devs deliberately choose to not optimize for xbox as much as for ps

don't believe that, even if it were true microsoft can pay more than sony, besides microsoft's first party games are always less impressive than sony's

Most people who choose to play on consoles do it on PlayStation. Xbox has lower market share, thus, it has lower priority during development. Development time costs money and so the platform which earns the most money is prioritized.

    >"all" xbox one games playable isn't true (though it's mostly Kinect shit so who cares really)
    >but look guys it released 2 days earlier
Why do people simp for corporations so much that they make these dumb comparisons? Not saying snoy are any better, but it's sad when both do this kind of brand worship.

Also funny side story regarding Xbox, was in a cash converters the other day and some guys were looking at some Xbones and Series S/X consoles, but were confused that the pricing was different on some of them. Because of how fricking moronic the naming convention is, they got the latest console confused with the now 10 year old Xbone. They had to get store staff to explain to them. Had a bit of a chuckle to myself. Sure, since we're gaminggays it's obvious to us but normies just want simple, easy to understand things at a glance.

This is why I just stick with PC.

the storage is less than 825gb, like 600+ something, what you see is the capacity without OS reduction lmao

Wow, that's really low considering how big games are, especially with poor optimisations. So that's the "power" of the ssd they keep talking about.

Eh, whatever you get for ~500-600$ will be either unable to run 4k 60fps even with fsr/dlss or will run it on low settings

        >4k capable
But why? Even a good PC today struggles with Ultra 1440p 144 fps. Why would you go for 4k but pay for it with 30 fps and the PC equivalent of Low settings?

If you want to play on a tv 4k is your only option, I don't think anyone even produces 2k/1080p tvs now

            Anonymous

Then again the vast majority of PS5 games aren’t even native 4k, instead rendering internally as high as they can get away with and upscaling the rest. The audience is the issue as it would rather have 30 fps at 1800p than 60 fps at 1440p, which is much closer to what a PS5 can handle than actual native 4k. TVs are moving to 8k by now and I can’t wait what moronation we will see regards to that, considering even native 4k is still a hack on most AAA console games.

              Anonymous

I dont think we will get 8k tvs mass production any time soon because they need a gigaprocessor just to display the image. They even ruled out some models in eu because of power consumtion. As for resolution, tvs have tonns of image improvment algos, so as long as you can output upscaled 4k, it's good.

is PS5 piracy a thing yet?

      Anonymous

How do you pirate that which has no games?

      Anonymous

Enabling piracy requires a lot of time and effort from crackers. But why would they waste that time and effort cracking console games, when all of those games will eventually come to PC? Why would you waste time cracking a console that will be obsolete in 5 years, when you could instead make a crack on PC that will last forever?
Nothing is uncrackable from a technical perspective, but tons of things are uncrackable from a "no one gives a frick about this" perspective. And PS5 unfortunately falls into that category, so there will never be piracy for it.

AMD apu is a way more advanced soc than anything intel makes and building a console with dedicated graphics would be much more expensive, like around $900.

Because who's gonna make a SoC/Apu with an AMD CPU but an Nvidia Gpu? Those don't even exist.
