I've always wondered whether that was an actual game dev decision or just a marketing stunt. The motion controls in TP were so shallow that the hand in which Link held his sword was utterly irrelevant. TP literally used the wiimotes's motion as a glorified b button.
It was done because the fans would SPERGE it link wasn't left handed wnd they knew it. Nintendo, Sega, and gamefreak fans are autists
Yeah but they could just keep Link as left handed and it wouldn't matter whether the player is left or right handed because TP doesn't actually track the movement of your wiimote. It just triggers a generic slash when it senses you waggled the controller. It makes sense for SS since in that game Link's hand actually tracks the movements of your real life hand.
Also it was made for gamecube at a time when wii just came out, they dun goofed their release schedule

Everyone knows it's a cheap port of mobile tracks, but they care more about new courses than quality courses. Same reason MkWii had such a huge modding scene.
The npcs are huge in the base game stages too
tour's maps are so dookie, the game is clearly not designed for sharp turning like ALL of the maps have
you do know a lot of older tracks did that shy guys are huge in most tracks
Aren't they massive in the original Wii U tracks too? Picking this of all the dlc's glaring flaws seems like they needed to be different in their shitposting.
