Why do people hate sniper class in multiplayer FPS again? I think they are cool and while strong at range, still have their own weaknesses like any other classes.

Why'd you post a blank image?
rude yuuka poster
unfunny cope + cringe
because in most games snipers are not just limited to sniper rifles so they can carry a decent backup to make up for those flaws making good ones a pain to deal with
This plus they tend to be dead weight and play their own game in objective based modes.
There is no scenario where you get instakilled in a MP game and don't feel at least a little cheated. Oh damn, guess I shouldn't have walked into the 90% of the map that was an open sightline and gotten headshot. A tactical error on my part
Because I suck and biff my shots a lot of the time
Same but I still love them.
What do you mean "kill gameplay"?
modern tranime looks like dog shit
>Darker than Black
>modern
The second season came out in 2009
the moron uses tranime on Ganker
that homosexual wasn't even born in 2009
they kill gameplay
It's annoying to get one shotted from across the map. It's also annoying to leave the action to hunt them down, only to have to do it within the next minute after they respawn. It can definitely be a fun class to play, but when you're on the receiving side they're almost always a pain in the ass.
So what's your favorite sniper rifle from video games?
Why are you so boring?
because i have nothing to prove
> 99% are objectively shit that can't aim
> The 1% usually end up carrying the game by themself in a way that offers little to no counterplay
> Weaknesses are over-compensated compared to other classes (reliable escape, strong enough secondary to win 1v1's)
> Devs can never properly balance damage outside of Headshot = 1shot where either bodyshots do essentially 0 damage or bodyshots are 1shot's too.
> Maps are either overly designed for them with vast open spaces like picrel with no counterplay or indoor shitstorms where they shouldn't be playing sniper (but do anyway because frick the team)
Doesn't Tribe Ascend does this the best?
tribes ascend doesnt do anything anymore
shazbot 🙁
it did it worst by giving the sniper a machinegun for a sidearm
Because they've lost it, they know they can kill.
[GUITAR RIFF INTENSIFIES]
because the only counter to a sniper is a sniper, doesn't really matter what game it is, CS, battlefield, whatever, it's always boring, annoying as shit, and your best bet at taking one on is getting one yourself
it's basically a shitty side-game that keeps butting into, and ruining, the main game
I like in BF2142 where assault class can counter sniper with 20mm air-burst rockets.
My biggest gripe with playing FPS was i always played team modes like search and destroy or CTF so having a sniper on the team was pretty much always dead weight. Need to take a bomb somewhere? The sniper just stares at it. Need to grab the flag? Sniper just stares at it. Is the entire team out fighting at the objective? Sniper is staring at an empty fricking hallway.
Not really playing with others. I could see value if there were high value targets to take out. But otherwise its a guy hiding killing everyone else who wants to play the game. Then you have shit like planetside 2 with cloaking snipers lamo.
>exist to be anti-fun for everyone else
>universally up their own ass
>cry when ever they think there's even a hint of a nerf coming in their direction
>refuse to play anything else
There is not a single game with snipers in it that would not be improved by their removal.
How would you implement snipers in a way that's good for games?
make them like fencer from EDF, with a big gun that is incredibly finicky to use but devastating to pretty much anything
Is there a real sniper focused pvp shooter out there where it actually takes a lot of preparation to cover a relatively narrow area and you can't just instantly click heads over half the map from a decent vantage?
That could be kinda neat. Sniper warfare where you call in artillery and airstrikes to slowly force them out of cover into your life of fire while avoiding the same thing happening to you, really big long range maps and basically no direct engagement, just tactical decisions and prediction.
