There’s a difference between difficulty and bullshit, and the Battle Frontier is bullshit.
I think people like the concept more than the execution of said concept. It has battles with a unique twist on them compared to anything else found in the games. The problem is mostly how people complain about the RNG going completely against the player in comparison to whether they get frozen, confused, fully paralyzed, or even how often they don't miss low accuracy moves in comparison to what we get saddled with.
In other words, if things were more fair, more people would enjoy the Battle Frontier.
It's the same kind of bullshit with every other battle facility though, which again is due to the RNG favoring hax over strategy.
gen 4 BF is more annoying than difficult
gen 5 subway and gen 6 maison are much better designed since you don't have to grind 20 shitty battles against NFEs every time you lose

It's less about making comp teams and more about risk management and holding a winning streak. Not how every Pokemon fan likes to play but some people do enjoy it.
