Over promised. Under delivered. Modding could have saved it but they keep releasing patches every 2 weeks and modders don't want to commit to constantly updating their creations. They said they did a "full release" but nothing has changed since the early access, it was 1.0 in name only.
Turks are incompetent, game is half what it should of been. Almost nothing was done during EA, just minor code changes. The mods are coming out now so wait for those.hd04jg

thats probably affecting your performance significantly more than your GPU. I'm not sure how bad it is, but it is a 10 year old CPU at this point, and keeping track of all the parties on the map and units in the field is CPU-heavy
My i3 10100f & GTX 1070 run this game fine. I can do 1000 dude battles no prob
Because it's a MB 1 clone. Even the dialogue is copypasted in a lot of places.

It was extremely hyped and when the early access came people realised that it was just more of Warband with better graphics and lamer factions.
It will be good 10 years from now with mods. For now, I play Warband.

People tend to forget how fricking awful base Warband is and compare it to over a decade of autistic handiwork in mods like PoP. Once the roaches stop bricking mods every other week with pointless "fixed a rare crash" updates, then it'll finally surpass Warband in every way.

It's one of the shittiest softwares I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. It has no error handling, making stable modding impossible since a call from a function that points to an un-existing string is enough to completely halt the program instead of simply returning "error" and ignoring the call. It's quite impressive, really.
I really liked the story of Neretze's Folly. It's too bad it's the only fricking piece of lore they bothered writing for the entire game. Who the frick is the head writer on this and who's paying him to write the backgrounds of meaningless cities and castles nobody cares about instead of actually interesting shit?
