Because everything else they make is basically just "remember Dark Souls?"
Dark Souls ages even more poorly when you see all the shit they ripped off. Like the opening up doors ambush in Boletaria palace getting moved to the lower undead burg, the identical enemies, the undead soldiers and warriors that have identical scripting to Dreglings and Boletarian soldiers, and so on. So many similarities pile up
>Vast and more intricate levels with great sense of scale and design were replaced by half assed lame and small "interconnected" levels constantly using tubular design and danger from falling/limiting player movement
>The world feels artificial because Lordran is ridiculously small, constrained into its open world design. Boletaria feels like an actual kingdom.
>Homeward bones break the gameplay by allowing an easy and cheap get-out-of-jail move
>Asylum Demon - Get a face full of ass 3x because they just copy paste it twice later on
>Taurus Demon - Somehow has more intricate attack animations than any other boss, wasted on shitty arena
>Pinwheel - Worse version of False Idol from demon's souls
>Bell Gargoyles - Worse version of maneaters from demon's souls
>Capra Demon - Another shitty arena, this time with unnecessary enemy spam. Getting a plunge attack involves playing musical chairs
>Quelaag - Make frickhuge arena for co-op kino, turns out the solution is to get in close after all. ZZzzzzzz...
>Iron Golem - Worse version of tower knight from demon's souls
>Priscilla - Priscilla was just going to be the level-up character, and the Painted World of Ariamis was just the proof of concept test stage that was developed before anything else in Dark Souls
>O & S - Most epic fight of the whole game forces you to backpedal for 90% of it
>Sif - Literally has the same moveset as gargoyles except add a cool spin once in a while
>Four Kings - "Muh DPS check"
>Seath - Dishonest game design
>Bed of Chaos - Worse version of Dragon God from demon's souls
>Gwyn - L2 L2 L2 L2 L2
lol'd at all that greentext. You're not wrong about anything but none of that makes DaS age poorly nor does it detract from what it does well, at the very most it just makes me respect it less and prefer DeS.
>mfw the map clicked in my mind playing the first time
>New Londo that low
>no Ash Lake
Yeah but there is something fresh in Dark Souls. The amount of armor and weapons alone, you can have any kind of build and even larp, no other game in the series gave you so many options (maybe DS2). Also the variety of maps, Dark Souls give you a lit bit of every fantasy setting, in the right measure. DS3 tried the same and failed, every fricking shit looks forced specially that catacombs section.
Is Dark Souls perfect? Frick no. But has enough to give you satisfaction and a lot of replay value, none of the other souls games have that.
Funny you say that because I played 1 the grand total of once while I have 600 hours in 3.
DS3 is weird in that it's easy to play over and over again but it's so unfun. It's like you expect the next playthrough to be good but it's not so you end up stuck in a permanent loop. I had more fun playing DS1 and DS2 a total of five times each than I did playing DS3 six times.
3 is something you can put on when you're bored and not have to think too much.
>be playing DaS3
>find a cool weapon and think of a fun build
>make new character
>realize you have to do Lothric as your first area
>realize you have to do 3 swamps in linear order afterwards
>give up
We all know the feel
>not knowing your way through Farron blindfolded 5 mins tops
ngmi
DS3 swamps are easily the most forgiving and easiest-to-get-through swamps of the whole game, and tbh i like the design of "not so much a swamp as an overgrown ruined castle" compared to the other games.
It's less that they're annoying to get through and more that they look hideous, aren't fun to play through, and they're all crammed together at the start of the game in what feels like the developers begging you to quit
I like the way Road of Sacrifices looks. The sunbeams piercing through the green hue.
I get the urge to replay DS3 pretty often, but then I remember I'd have to actually play DS3 again and lose all interest.
>Demon's Souls references in Dark Souls 3
- Movement speed, general physics (attacking, generous dodging, etc.)
- Auto-revival (embering) after a boss (or helping as a phantom)
- HP reduction when non-embered + as a phantom
- No poise
- Useless heavy armour
- Mana bar for magic
- Estoc being OP in PvP
- Dual kats returning
- Stormruler
- Morion Blade
- Luck stat + Blueblood Sword vs Anri's Straight Sword
- Scholar's Candlestick = Kris Blade
- Evangelists reminiscent of Fat Ministers
- Gauntlet of enemies before L&L very reminiscent 1-3 before Penetrator fight
- Red-eyed knight * (difficult optional enemy in starting area, the one guarding the Gem)
- Firelink very reminiscent of the Nexus
- Irithyll Dungeon reminiscent of Latria prison
- High Wall of Lothric/Lothric Castle reminiscent of Boletarian Palace (far more than Undead Burg/Parish)
- Firekeeper "Then touch the darkness within me", vs Maiden in Black "Then touch the demon inside me"
- Both the Firekeeper and the Maiden in Black are blind (both apparently on purpose)
- Gimmick bosses being more common
- Yuria's assassination request reminiscent of Mephistopheles's sidequest, plus they even stand similarly
- Speaking of which, a character actually called ]Yuria again
- However, the one that looks like Yuria from Demon's Souls isn't that one, it's Karla, but they look very similar
Other things that I've seen pointed out, which aren't as immediately obvious, but still worth mentioning:
- Maiden Astraea/Garl Vinland vs Irina/Eygon
- Rock worms returning
- Iudex Gundyr is reminiscent of the Old King Doran
Was it kino?
Wish it referenced being able to choose what order you do the stages in.
>Was it kino
It was very heavy handed with the references, but sure.
You can't not appreciate it. 3D metroidvania is such a great idea.
Some of these are really stretching what the graph considers a node for each game.
DS1's DLC gets 7 dots, while the whole of Ariandel is 1.
If we're really going to put Cathedral of Blue on here why not Crucifixion Woods? Or the Old Wolf's tower?
Biased diagram if anything.
way to miss the point entirely
I'm not saying 3 isn't the most linear, it clearly is, but the diagram that anon posted was pretty shit.
Point being DaS3 is incredibly linear while the rest of the games are not. Also a lot of those extra nodes were added by random anons, it's not inherently biased against DaS3.
DaS2 the GOAT
>But has enough to give you satisfaction and a lot of replay value
DS2 does, and does it better.
>More optional content/less linear
>More armor, weapons, and spells (and they're balanced better)
>greater diversity of locations
>greater replay value (better NG+, more builds, less linear, more content)
That's all DaS2s area of expertise. DaS3's is bosses, DaS2's is RPG elements and replayability, DaS1's is world design.
>DaS3's is bosses
*Teleports behind you*
*wololololols*
Princes is an excellent boss.
said no one ever.
- Priscilla was just going to be the level-up character, and the Painted World of Ariamis was just the proof of concept test stage that was developed before anything else in Dark Souls
>priscilla was different at one point in development so shes bad
lmao
- Dishonest game design
huh?
Basically this, but also because dark souls was rough around the edges it cared very little about the player, it lost that in later iterations.
Because the sound design is better and the world design isnt composed entirely of grays and browns
Honestly, I think a big part of it is memory and nostalgia. It is legitimately an amazing game world though
disagree, ds1 was one of the last souls games I played, (played bb, ds2 and 3 before, this was 2 years ago), I have 0 nostalgia attachment to it and ds1 still felt the most mysterious and immersive, maybe the most mysterious was demon souls, but that has to do mostly with it being a one off game where they didn't really know what they were doing as much.
ds1 is incredible and probably the best one.
The only reason DS1 feels "mysterious and immersive" is because it forces you to backtrack through the "interconnected" world hundreds of times, nevermind the fact that there's no reason to do anything in these areas once you made it through them the first time but since they want to push the "interconnected" theme to make is seem like a pseudo open world there you go.
Why are you so angry about interconnected worlds?
Because I've played through it. Don't get me wrong it totally works for the first 20 or so levels and having a master key starting item is really cool and unique, but once you've run through andre's smithy for the 50th time just because they turned your bonfire off as a design feature you really have to wonder if it doesn't overstay its welcome.
Also since the game is designed this way you increasingly go on autopilot and increasingly miss things, not only that but as you're leaving areas that you've 100% to make sure that you don't have to come back you find an area sealed "by the lord's power" which means, you guessed it, you're going to have to run all-the-way-back eventually. This is soul sucking gameplay, especially if you're not using a guide.
I can imagine in about 30 hours of gameplay you'll spend at least 5 hours doing death runs or returning to areas you've already been which feels like a monumental waste of time
>but once you've run through andre's smithy for the 50th time just because they turned your bonfire off as a design feature you really have to wonder if it doesn't overstay its welcome.
Andre's bonfire is like a minute away from firelink, and at the time firelink gets shut off you're going to be going into Sen's anyway so I don't see why you'd have to run back to his bonfire 50 times.
People miss things all the time, having to run through a shortcut occasionally is not the cause of it for most people. And describing blocked paths that you have to return to as soul sucking gameplay is just bizarre. Sounds like you just have some autistic conviction about not returning to areas.
>I can imagine in about 30 hours of gameplay you'll spend at least 5 hours doing death runs or returning to areas you've already been which feels like a monumental waste of time
And I can imagine that you're wrong. A lot of hours for a lot of people have definitely been wasted bumbling around, being lost and having no idea where to go and whatnot, but I can't see straight backtracking taking that much time unless you never find shortcuts.
It was the right time. DS2 suffered from that massive downgrade so consoles could run it, also it was made by team B and all that shit. DS3 suffered from being too derivative from Bloodborne, also you can see they clearly didn't wanted to do all agian, it was a well done fan service at best. Sekiro tried a new direction but didn't work for me, good if work for someone. Elden Ring tries to tie everything together but at this point they are too addicted to their own formula to make something really great again, so is superbly well done, but frick me there is no souls in this series anymore for a long time.
I should love Bloodborne since it's souls + lovecraft but I found that game to be insanely boring. Also every map looks the same.
>every map looks the same
you didn't even get out of yharnam
LOL
I played to the fricking DLC, shit always looked the same. I know it's different, you got ruins, sheds, castles, snow and... everything just looks the same. There is some kind of boredom in this whole fricking game I can't put into words.
the boredom is in your head
Oh no! There is some joke in here but I'm too tired to think of. The boredom is not just me, lots of people got disappointed with BB. It's not a bad game at all, but you can say the same about Elden Ring and Sekiro. They work very well for some people, but specially for fans of Dark Souls, it's simply not the same. Demon's Souls and Dark Souls and even old shit like King's Field had some magic that From simply lost at some point.
that's because you grew up with dark souls and don't actually WANT new games, your nostalgia limits you on what you are capable of enjoying
You are projecting hard here kiddo, I was really looking foward for Sekiro and BB, I wish they stopped doing Souls game after 1, 2 and 3 were massive letdowns each for their own reasons. They are not bad games, but the magic is not there, Elden Ring is the best example. 9/10 game, superb in every aspect, but shit it was a chore to finish first time and I not going back.
only thing that lost the magic at some point is you. The games are fun you just got old and jaded. Thats okay but in no part the fualt of the games.
NTA but I agree with you in a vacuum. All of these games are fun, but fact of the matter is they can't be divorced from the context of being outright clones of one another.
If anything you're a freak for somehow being okay with the same shit for over a decade.
>only thing that lost the magic at some point is you
I played all the games back to back in like 2019 and thought they lost the magic too. Pretty sure I was jaded beforehand anyway.
Nah, I disagree. Those games are well made, but not that fun anymore. Like
said the fact that they are all clones don't help, the sensation of "being there, done that" is all over the place. I was really looking foward for Elden Ring, had some fun for a while but it's just Dark Souls with a bigger map and a horse. It's time to let it go, maybe do some new Armored Core or other shit for a while.
It's true. BB is only good in the first area and the DLC.
>DS2 suffered from that massive downgrade so consoles could run it
You mean the graphics? Shut up graphics nerd.
The downgrade led to a lot of issues and bugs like the weird light and the sliding steps. And also made the whole game look like ass, but hey it's ok to like ass bro.
>Elden Ring tries to tie everything together but at this point they are too addicted to their own formula
>and yet people say india will become a first world in a few years
oh heavens
they're Filipino, you illiterate homosexual
sorry sirs
i forget you
moron
>also it was made by team B and all that shit
Literally just parroting r*dditor talking points, you sad homosexual nothing person with no brain of your own.
Because it was somewhat original.
And I also guess it's the sound design.
Like menu selection and the character creation music is pretty neat
>DS2 is just shit because of consoles
DaS1 was on the same console
The only replay value DaS2 can offer is the different builds.
The world just isn't fun to explore and frick around with. Sure, locations are more diverse but the levels aren't good
>The world just isn't fun to explore and frick around with.
There's nothing to frick around with in DS1, what are you talking about?
I agree with literally everything in this post, including the fact that BB should be good but just comes out a gray and boring mash. Yeah the combat is faster but it's not really better and the tradeoff for less interesting enemy and world design wasn't worth it.
I wish FROM focused on the more experimental aspects of DeS and DS1 instead of watering it down again and again. I hope their next game is a clunky ass weird fricking dungeon crawler, but I know it won't be.
>DS2 suffered from that massive downgrade so consoles could run it,
You’re an utter fricking moron if you believe that it’s consoles that are the reason for shit graphics and performance and not the fact that developers make their games so that 3rd world Black folk that have a 10+ year old toaster can run them
Actually the reason DS2 looks so bad is because it went from a next-gen game to a cross-gen game mid development, which is why it such a mess overall, not just visually.
DaS, DeS, and BB are very apparently the only times Miyazaki was actually passionate about making a game. And out of those three DaS has the most unique setting and also allows for locational diversity unlike BB.
less linearity, all the games they made post DS are very linear, that definitely kill the sense of mistery and adventure.
2 is less linear than 1
I'm pirating Dark Souls Remastered. I'm going to play it with a 90 percent damage reduction mod and will massively increase my starting stats with WeMod.
(You)
>gets stuck
>teleports away
Nothin' personel
it was a product of a holistic vision, unlike later titles
Demon's Souls has a pretty good sense of mystery as well
I just completed DS1 PTD for the first time (after 3, 2, ER that order) because I finally stopped b***hing and got over the fact that the kb&m port sucks ass and won't get better after another 10 years.
The thing that struck me the most is that it's way easier to become really fricking OP compared to 3 & 2. About halfway through the game the build I made by just playing the game no grinding just destroyed every boss.
It's probably for the better they changed active poise in the sequels because it trivialises everything once your equip load is high enough.
I broke DS1 when it clicked I could just walk around all the enemies with a shield up and backstab through the whole game.
My roll build in DS3 was completely broken. Nothing could hit me.
Same for bosses. Just hit them, chug, hit, chug.
No need to dodge roll or even engage in the mechanics at all.
Was it your first Souls game? Dark Souls didn't feel as mysterious to me than Demon's Souls before it, other than seamless environments added to the mix.
Not OP but I played DaS first, then 2, 3, BB, Sekiro, Elden Ring and finally Demon's Souls (original). DaS and DS were the best, I was surprised on how modern and polished DS is, second best game I've played from this series. Looking foward to play the remake now.
They didn't really change up the formula much from the original. All DaS did was make heavier builds more viable to use, where-as in DeS it was all about maintaining half-encumbrance to get maximum movement/roll speed.
Because they didn't wring the Souls cliches dry at this point where they may have had something grander in mind but just making up setpieces to bait loregays and didn't think about it
The sound design
This is a big thing most people forget about. Playing PS3 DeS the sound effects are really haunting and foreign.
No fast travel for the first half, it means you actually have to engage with the world as a whole instead of just being able to zip through it with bonfires
Layered was more dark and more mysterious than anything in Souls, not to mention the insane shit that is implied to happen in Beliana
Of course the zoomies who only know From because of Souls don't understand this
qrd?
>layered is a giant artificial construct because the earth is so contaminated and fricked from pollutants that humanity all is underground
>no one has ever explored its entirety and it has a real mystery about it
>beliana is a fantasy land where nothing is told, but implied to have human experimentation to create elemental creatures among other fricked stuff
Basically play Froms older games to see why so many people adore them
the only references to this shit I can find are from here. You a chain yanker?
Information you only get from actually playing and not MUH YOUTUBE MUH WIKIS?
Like I said, play their older games.
>MUH INTERNET
yeah frick me for trying to learn which games in particular to play out of their gigantic portfolio you condescending Black person
NTA but stop being such a condescending rat homosexual, you're worse then elden ring redditors
>Layered
>Beliana
Are these From games? I'm not seeing them on their wiki entry.
OK homosexual
Play Armored Core 3 and Evergrace
Thank you.
Are Armored Core games stand alone stories, or do I need the first two for appropriate context?
They're technically standalone but if you like ME REFERENCES like I do you should play them in numbered order
You should also do that because they kick ass
Cool, will do.
>required: AC1, MoA, Another Age, Silent Line, Nexus, 4, For Answer
>optional: 2, Last Raven, V Day
>eh: Project Phantasma, 3

>this vague homosexual finally spills the beans
>It's one of the games my buddy that just moved away two days ago left me
Then he doesn't like you very much, Evergrace fricking sucks lol
Forever Kingdom is far superior and Evergraces much memed OST only has a few bonkers tracks, while FK the whole thing is off the chain
kek, well I'll pcsx2 that one and then whatever else is down the old FromSoftware pipeline.
This dude knows what's up. EG sucks but FK is pretty good. It also has a better soundtrack.
so how full of shit is this guy?
He's just describing older From games, he's completely correct.
That's now how I would describe a game that sucks, but alright.
I always wondered if Evergrace had any connections to Elden Ring.
Ah, I see now.
take the first half of dark souls and the second half of dark souls 3 make it all interconnected keep the DLCs for both and congratulations you now have the perfect souls game.
Interconnected world, zero handholding.
I opened Elden Ring again yesterday, and they updated it to include the number of Runes gained by using the hard Rune items in their item descriptions.
When I killed Radahn, the game tells me that my map has been updated with a red marker that tells me how to get to Nokron.
FromSoft pander to casualBlack folk now. Should have known when they gutted invasions and gave you free AI summons that you can call on any time.
.
Well, yeah, that too.
I think they've lost their touch.
>When I killed Radahn, the game tells me that my map has been updated with a red marker that tells me how to get to Nokron.
They should have just had an environment event where something obvious changed and you use that as your cue to explore it.
They did, and that's how everyone (who didn't look up a guide) found it before the update.
That's the joke anon
I can undestand why that marker was added, but it could've been handled better.
I spent more than two hours looking around Limgrave trying to find where the meteor had landed. I missed it because when I was looking around Fort Haight it was foggy as shit so I turned around without having seen the big ass crater that wasn't there before.
They could've just added a smoke trail you could track in the distance
Or environments could have been hit by the meteor in its way down, opening up routes through cliffs that weren't there before, or maybe annihilating a building on a particularly well-frequented part of the map. Lots they could have done.
The worst part is that in a later patch they added a marker so you know instantly where the meteor landed. That wasn't there in my first run of the game, and it disappointed me so much that they took away the mystery and excitement of searching for the place of impact.
Blaidd says "I can see bloody nokron from here" when you meet him at siofra, after the festival is over he tells you that now we can head down to nokron, the meteor crashes leaving floating debris that can be seen from far away all over limgrave. Truth is most people don't pay attention hence why the added that stupid marker.
>the meteor crashes leaving floating debris that can be seen from far away all over limgrave
you actually have to be pretty close to see anything, like by the time you see floating shit you can already see the hole. creating an easter egg hunt in the massive open world is actually moronic
You can see the floating shit from the first step bro.
And? You can't see it from caelid, where you are, you can't see it from miswood, which is where its at, right next to caelid, so where is it?
>it right under your nose, teehee
frick off fromsoft, suck a dick
>you can't see it from miswood
Anon.....
You could be just before the clearing of the mistwood to the hole and not see it. Unless it was a LoD problem at launch I can't explain it. I was pissed when I got there because I was like "how the frick was I supposed to see that"?
Should i trust the abyss serpent or the other one?
no fast travel until the final act which is also when it loses much of its magic
From didn't know what they were doing with the game yet. There's quite a few random npcs scattered throughout the world as merchants that you never use like they wanted to populate it but didn't know how. Then there's the giant empty capital that exists for no reason. The game is a never-ending torrent of content until anor londo and then it just ends
>Be 35 years old

do you have the answer to the riddle of dark souls never being good
For me it's the Demon's souls homosexuals
>look up shadow tower gamplay

oh no no no
Demons Souls principles shine most brightly in Shadow Tower. You're there. As an adventurer. Trying to decide how best to overcome difficult situations using your brain. Then DS1 happened and you solved everything by circle strafing, rolling, and poise.
>Trying to decide how best to overcome difficult situations using your brain.
>in a game with real time "action" combat
I don't think I have to explain why putting so little stock in the primary means through which you interact with the enemies is a fundamentally fricked idea for a game. We all know why these games didn't catch on but Demon's Souls did.
you did the same shit in demons souls minus poise
Demons Souls you had to outsmart your enemies
by circle strafing behind them and backstabbing. or just abusing magic. truly the height of strategic combat.
>it doesn't count because ___
Sounds like cope. Also nah the world is pretty fun to frick around with because of how often they mix in high-level content in earlier levels, i.e.
>twin giants in gulch
>salamanders in forest
>dragonslayer in heide
and there's also the fact that you can do Brume and Shulva early which can not only provide a good challenge that shakes things up, but also allow you to skip previously mandatory base game content via getting 1m soul memory easier. DaS2's by far the most engaging to replay and it takes someone who actually plays Souls to realize it.
>soul memory
>engaging
soul memory sounds like cancer incarnate
>allows you to skip mandatory content, bolstering replayability even further
>sounds like cancer incarnate because muh PvP
laughable cope. Also DaS2 has the best PvP.
how does it have the best pvp when you level out of pvp by playing pvp without leveling
>you level out of PvP
>cant even shitpost correctly
The problem with it is that you enter a pool without a ceiling. There are plenty of people there, the problem is that many of them will be far higher level than you if you're on the lower end.
Also literally just make characters for PvP like everyone else.
so they thought it was a good idea to for you to face higher and higher level players than yourself regardless of your own level?
Yeah sure I'll educate you, why not.
That's only when you reach the highest soul-memory bracket. it isn't a problem for anyone except people who don't spend souls wisely, die often, or do NG+.
sounds like its a problem for people that earn souls through pvp, no?
A problem for people that do literally hundreds of invasions in the same area. Otherwise not really.
so most pvpers
>most pvpers
will have multiple builds at various SL ranges. You'd know if you ever played it and weren't a homosexual shitposter.
So in order to play the game at certain levels you constantly have to remake characters? DS2 sounds like a hunk of shit

People paid for this shit?
You didn't know better at the time.
Also, the lighting and color palate. The world felt quite lonely too.
Because it has soul, based on FromSoftwares trackrecord, I don't forsee a good future for the quality of their games:
DeS = Best originality, best swamp zone (Swamp of Sorrow), best atmosphere, best environmental hazards (tied with Dark Souls).
DaS = Best world design, best closed-world interconnected non-linear world design in all gaming history, best sense of adventure, journey and isolation because you can't teleport until you get the lord vessel, best lore (thematically) when ignoring DaS2/DaS3 lore (they are non-canon anyway), best environmental hazards (tied with Demon's Souls).
DaS2 = Best slow and methodical combat (the last true Dark Souls game), best PvP, best shadow system (dynamic shadows with torch), best build variety, best hub OST (Majula), true dual wielding/powerstancing, best new game+ features.
Bloodborne = Best OST, best bosses (tied with Sekiro), best aggressive and fast combat system (tied with Sekiro), best DLC, best horror elements, best weapon design, best individual level design.
Sekiro = Best bosses (tied with Bloodborne), best aggressive and fast combat system (tied with Bloodborne), highest skill floor and skill cap, best animation quality, only souls-ish game in which you actually have to GitGud (can't cheese with overleveling/summoning).
Dark Souls 3 = uhhh...? excels at nothing. Bandai Scamco fricked the development time and funding of Dark Souls 3 and FromSoftware was forced to cut all the unique and amazing ideas such as: Bonfire creation ritual, Serpent invasion event, God's Grave, more interconnected world design etc.
Elden Cringe = not a souls game, an open-world fundamentally prevents the souls formula from existing and thus an open-world game can never be a souls game.
Lack of absolute fast travel helps with pacing / immersion
cause it was your first souls experience
Because it ripped off Runequest and a lot of its design stemmed more from that fantasy aproach, shoving a player into an alien and mysterius environement. That is at different times vertical and at other times horizontal. This gives the player a dissorianting feel and makes the world seem like it is in larger scale than it actually is.
There is a huge difference beatween Kings Field, Demon Souls and Dark Souls, and that is tone. Dark Souls thrusts you into both areas and gives you items of which you know nothing about at first but have to follow a breadcrumb trail. Myazaki started making videogames because of his passion in making fantasy Runequest related maps. Dark souls maps is thiinking outside of the box in terms of areas when it came to fantasy rpg's. Thats the biggest contribution it had on the gaming industry.
There are other similarities to Runequest all the way down to the lore, but mechanically the biggest contribution is: Everyone can use magic and that enemies and combat is dangerous.
Because it is still the best Souls game.
