zoomers have no friends. they will never kno the joy of staying up all night with your amigos and finding out what each character in legacy of the wizard does.
The first game. The second was different enough for people to remark on it (even if people still played the shit out of it). It's not like people had no concept at all of what a videogame sequel ought to be.
Oh yeah fucking Sorcerian where they make you go back and forth over and over again between locations to beat every single scenario. It's not even challeging, just tedious.
Fuck that. Legacy is the best Dragon Slayer. Seethe.
I'd enjoy Zelda 2 if it wasn't for these fucking guys. Stops you in your tracks and forces you to play some shitty rhythm mini-game with counter attacks
Just jump at them and attack when you're coming back down right on top of their head, they'll always drop their shield, you can just chain that and never get hit.
Being aggressive pays off
Because they are obtuse and irritating, like Simon's Quest. None of them are bad games per se but I don't particularly enjoy the experience they provide
I don't know why but mentioning Ys III is going to get me flamed. People say its a bad game, probably for the same reason they say Zelda II is bad: they changed the formula or whatever. However - it was the only game released here on mainstream consoles for a decade afterwards. It was ported across all the consoles at the time. It got remade. I had nostalgia for it but after playing the remake on PC, I don't think it's as good as it was the first time back in like '92.
I've played the Famicom version and I liked it a LOT. The only real issue is how short it is, 4 hours.
Ys fan like to shit on the NES versions of those games but this version of Ys III, compared to videos of other versions I've seen online, genuinely seems to be the best.
I like these games but god damn I suck at video games as a whole. >And Legacy is awful.
Please explain. The other three are on my to-play list but I've ignored Legacy of the Wizard for some reason/didn't know it was this style game.
Not enough cowbell?
zoomers have no friends. they will never kno the joy of staying up all night with your amigos and finding out what each character in legacy of the wizard does.
its not the genre, its just zelda 2 not being a real zelda game
What was considered a Zelda game at the time though? There was only one.
true but the fact that they never made another game like this seems to indicate that it is a black sheep of sorts
Ninty needed to start another IP inspired by Xanadu and Zelda 2
They can always bring back Muramasa Castle.
Actually fuck, a Zelda 2 hack but Muramasa Castle characters can actually be interesting.
The first game. The second was different enough for people to remark on it (even if people still played the shit out of it). It's not like people had no concept at all of what a videogame sequel ought to be.
so is BOTW and TOTK not being Real Zelda games
Only babies raised on Aonuma's imitation slop think this.
nintendie cant do RPG, its for bing bong wahoo
>battle of Olympus
ok that game is quite difficult though wtf
Not really, it's probably the easiest of the 4 in OP's pic
Are you kidding? Other than the somewhat confusing labyrinths i have no idea what you mean.
The game is not a push-over but it's not difficult either.
Clash at demonhead is similar, but with guns.
Great game
Faxanadu and Olympus are kino. Zelda 2 is better than the original. And Legacy is awful.
For me, it's Cosmo Police Galivan
Why are you carrying 5200 gigs of CP in this game?
You play as a government agent
50 child porn???
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
>legacy of the shitturd
Sorcerian is the better dragon-slay-em-up, but only in Japanese because you get more slay-ems
Oh yeah fucking Sorcerian where they make you go back and forth over and over again between locations to beat every single scenario. It's not even challeging, just tedious.
Fuck that. Legacy is the best Dragon Slayer. Seethe.
False, hence your attempt to project your seethe onto me. Typical move of shitturd playing "people".
I love all of those games but Legacy of the Wizard is too hard and nothing like the others.
i liked zelda 2 but the others didn't click with me.
For me it's Simon's Quest
My nigga.
picrel
this is fun too
Lol nobody played that version.
Nta but tg16 is the only version I've played. It's also the best version
Battle of Olympus > Faxanadu > Zelda 2 > Legacy of the Wizard
Surprised you didn't list Rambo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umC-rYfYec8
Legacy of the Wizard is a different (and superior) genre.
I'd enjoy Zelda 2 if it wasn't for these fucking guys. Stops you in your tracks and forces you to play some shitty rhythm mini-game with counter attacks
Closest thing to a swordfight in any RPG for like another decade
And just like the swordfights in OoT they're fun for the first few enemies and then it's just a tedious time sink.
Being a time sink is the literal function of a game. Are you fucking retarded?
Enjoy your waiting mechanics.
>Killing a Darknut in Zelda 1 is so much more fun!
>what do you mean I need to actually play a game?
Just jump at them and attack when you're coming back down right on top of their head, they'll always drop their shield, you can just chain that and never get hit.
Being aggressive pays off
Imagine if he had to fight the ones that shoot beams at you...
Because they are obtuse and irritating, like Simon's Quest. None of them are bad games per se but I don't particularly enjoy the experience they provide
"forced dying"
I personally will make sure the haters will see this thread every day for weeks.
Where my Zombie Hunter chads at?
just kidding this game is broken and I didn't even finish it
