Because it's as much of a dead-end job as any wagie job but made worse when the platform your money comes from is going into the deep gutter because at least when your ass gets dumped by retail, you can still use the years you had working for some other store for your experience. What the frick is "i played videogames in twitch" going to amount to if not getting your ass rejected by any respecting job?
Besides, streaming is an over-saturated market and only influencehomosexuals would try to sell you on the idea anyone can become a successful streamer, something that's a complete fricking lie made EVEN WORSE when they also say it can be a good source of income. Only gambling addicts believe in trying to be the 1% of successful people on those platforms and to fall for their lies is such a moronic move.
People get touchy on this subject of whether youtube is a "Real Job", but this is the crux of it for me. Until you strike gold by yourself and MAYBE build enough of a following to generate income, it just doesn't seem worth it. I've seen so many Youtubers over the years eventually resorted to donations or something because they weren't getting revenue.
the 'real job' mentality is a really dumb one imo because it basically cucks yourself out of being a pioneer of anything or taking on unique opportunities
not saying people should drop everything and go be an eceleb but there are many things someone can do with their life that's not a 'real job' but can still make money off it, that's really all that matters and everything else is cope, see: every job that has been lost to advances in technology and the workers who have had entire skillsets invalidated in the process
It's a side job/Hobby. You go into it not expecting anything and maybe you'll get a small group of people with money to throw around. I had a friend get gifted 1000 euro for Xmas by one of his followers. But you can't pursue streaming as a "real job" because it takes to long to get any type of income to live off of.
Reading stuff like this always torments me. I can’t imagine a better life for myself than to make even minimum wage playing video games, and it’s crushing to continually have my fear reinforced that I’m a fool for even having such an idea. Maybe you’re wrong, but I’m too afraid to try to find out that you might be right. Perhaps it’s not perfect analogically, but I feel similarly about trying to make it doing art or indie game development.
I spend all of my time being poor from helping my decripid father and working a full time job. unlike the rest of you Black folk I did not get any covid relief and at the time everyone was putting shit on my shoulders with complete apathy, causing me to spiral the drain and lose tons of money. At the very least things are looking up, but this period of my life has left me so bitter and shell shocked that its hard to break the habit of just ignoring everything due to sour grapes at how much time I lost. On top of that the one thing I've been doing to make it better; go to school to get a higher paying job, has been completely ignored by the IT sector so the can hire more pajeets and whine about needed immigration.
>I don't want to be a clown. >Most of the streamers make little more than spare change if anything at all >It's not even my dream since it's seems more hassle than just arguing over minorities and e-doujin here
Because thats depressing as frick. Imagine the absolute peak of your ability as a human being the fact that you talk about other peoples creations. At that point I would put the gun in my mouth.
>left guy openly admits it's tiring to entertain morons on the internet
and he's just a regular normalgay, I would imagine an anon from here breaking after a month of putting on a nice face
The opposite of the reason real celebs are almost all pretty, basically. Ecelebs are supposed to be average joes so that even people who aren't so delusional that they think they could be brad pitt or ryan gosling unironically can think they could be, and therefore self insert into, goyslop eceleb number #498457650. The same reason every protagonist in Anime/Manga is a loser virgin.
I already was a mid-tier streamer but got cancelled for something I didn't even do long ago. Doesn't matter though because I still have bank. Haven't worked a day since.
Ganker likes trannies that pass and still have their dicks and hates trannies that dont pass, are toxic activists and have an axewound. Unless you are a newbie, this is common knowledge here
I would rather eat a bunch of bean burritos, wrap a noose around my neck and tie that to a fricking truck thats going down a highway. It would be less embarassing than a youtuber or streamer.
I think gaming youtubers and streamers are insufferable morons, and I would not want to interact with the kind of "people" that make up their fanbases. I don't want to turn video games into a job in general, either. Also, I already have a job as a university lecturer which I worked for a long time to get and really enjoy doing.
>gaming knowledge
do you think being a gaming youtuber is fun? do you think playing every single crappy game is enjoyable to most people?
You actually have to hate or be indifferent towards video games to actually do that job since most video games are fricking garbage and you'd never even want to TRY most of them.
I have very strict standards for the games I play and there's no way you get me to play something like Last of Us for more than 10 minutes, I'd be bored to death if I had to do anything more.
tl;dr it's not for everyone, it's definitely not for me who plays only a handful games and doesn't care at all about the rest
I don't live alone and I have lost the charisma born from irreverence that I possessed in high school. I used to be jaded in a zany way, now I'm just boring.
Jfc I would rather die than have to network with etc cucked twitch homosexuals and have to e-beg for money or else have to follow the guidelines of whatever soulless corporation will sponsor you. YouTube is no better, its yet another incompetent and corrupt piece of shit company I want nothing to do with.
1. I have a degree in CS which I use quite comfortably even though I'm not really employed in programming, I make a lot of money
2. Its not my dream
3. I do stream on the weekends and average about 40-50 viewers.
>have a degree in CS which I use quite comfortably even though I'm not really employed in programming, I make a lot of money
What do you do? Freelance or what?
Real estate management. My parents own a lot of real estate on the east coast and now that they're in their 70's they want to keep the money "in the family" so they asked me to manage the properties so I left my programming job to take over. However, I still do small amounts of freelance work on the side (nothing crazy just for fun).
You aren't really using your CS degree though, so it comes across as you dodging the question. You're basically a trust fund kid.

I'm 32 and used it from graduating at 22 until I was 30 >You're basically a trust fund kid.

So when you state that you're not a youtuber because you're using your degree, and then it turns out you're not using your degree and are instead a trust fund kid, you come across as disingenuous. Surprised this needs explaining.
You're forgetting the important bit. You have to be charming. Whether or not you think Max is good at fighters or knows what he's talking about; he can speak to an audience. Same reason none of us are salesmen; we generally lack charisma.
I just started recently. I have over 1000 subs and I'm about to hit 4k hours watched, which allows me to monetize from ads.
Soon, I will be making money every time a goy watches a goyslop ad on my videos. I really wish I had started this sooner, but I always had self confidence issues. Oh well, better now than never.
Because these ecelebs are fricking obnoxious and soulless I would rather become homeless than selling out like that.
How tall was the sphere hunter?
manlette-sized

i can't think of anything worse than being famous amongst zoomers who would rather watch me play video games than play them themselves.
GOLEM GET YE GONE
>turn your hobby into a job
No
i have no dreams, i'm ok being a loser with no purpose
I reckon I could. My gimmick could be alternating between video game industry drama and poetry readings.
Just made this 'pilot episode'
You sound like a homosexual. Do you have inject estrogen to get a femine voice like that? And why do you talk so slow? Are you stroke survivor?
>You sound like a homosexual
>And why do you talk so slow?
Are you in a hurry or something, homosexual-detector? It's a good video.
Except it’s not.
Thanks, just gave your video a dislike.

look at these goysloppers
i cant and never will. I have no filters when i talk. I would be killing billions of NPCs with the words i use.

yea inspectors are useless
nothing should be tested or criticized such a waste of time
And what do you do with your time?
Works for actors.
Because I don't want to drop money on a monthly payment to edit videos.
Nice troony bait thread OP. You're still a homosexual though
I get to creampie tight zoomer girls without doing all of that anyways.
Video games, homosexual, VIDEO GAMES.
https://streamable.com/13g0e THE CHINGER
i dont get it
Is that the chinger changer Black person dagger guy and an STD infested prostitute?
I hate videogames
I don't like e-celebs and I don't want to become like them.
>left guy openly admits it's tiring to entertain morons on the internet
and he's just a regular normalgay, I would imagine an anon from here breaking after a month of putting on a nice face
i like videogames more than i like attention
Why are ecelebs all ugly?
The opposite of the reason real celebs are almost all pretty, basically. Why the frick would that be my dream? What the actual frick is wrong with you?
>play video games all day
>get paid for it
That’s every males dream
I already was a mid-tier streamer but got cancelled for something I didn't even do long ago. Doesn't matter though because I still have bank. Haven't worked a day since.
for a site that says it despises trannies, it's users sure like to post about them all the time.
Curious.

frick off larper
been here since 2008
hated trannies and gays, and still do
I would rather eat a bunch of bean burritos, wrap a noose around my neck and tie that to a fricking truck thats going down a highway. It would be less embarassing than a youtuber or streamer.
The only views that give money are from teenagers that don't use adblock and I will not pander to them.
Why don't you frick off, troonyfricker

>all I do is manage my parents property
frick you. If you weren't ashamed of it, you would have said that from the start.
Why would be I be ashamed of it? It was a direct response to "use your gaming knowledge" by saying "CS degree I use quite comfortably"
You aren't really using your CS degree though, so it comes across as you dodging the question. You're basically a trust fund kid.

What game lets you repress loving being railed by a bald neanderthal?
Oh, the things I'd do to a caged Suzi. Damn shame he's borderline androphobic thanks to the Sess.
I already have a comfortable job and I am too lazy to start learning editing and recording shit.
Not really a dream, mostly doing it because it's fun and i get to practice editing. https://youtu.be/i35-T_G2lZo
Because I’m not an attractive girl, homosexual or troony.
fine i'll fap to sue
hot

No, you just have to have low self worth. I'm not a salesman because I would never stoop to that level, all for the profits of someone else.
Nah. You sound very uncharismatic. Maybe take your head out of your ass before you type and people would like and respect your opinion.
