this is how it really looks like in comparison. where are your funko pop gods now?

This is how it looks if you're a moron who doesn't know how to adjust FOV, you mean. For Hor+ games, you add 17. So that image of "90" FOV 21:9 is equivalent to "107" FOV 16:9. The number doesn't actually mean anything, because games don't correctly calculate FOV when it comes to aspect ratio differences.

we are comparing monitors, not in-game adjustment of FOV. I merely offered another comparison of different aspect ratios than

            >>we are comparing monitors,
If we were to compare monitors directly, the image would be even more unfavorable.

Comparing stock FOV is deliberately misleading, because 16:9 screens are assumed to be 24". It is only fair to compare the difference in terms of resolution when FOV is matched, and all my comparison images are actually overly favorable to 21:9 because I use 3840x1600 instead of the far more common 3440x1440, just because it gives a more obvious point of comparison of the horizontal.

FOV adjustment is an intrinsic quality of every game made with a 3D engine. The argument of "but you have to change something" is pretty hilarious coming from an ultrawide supporter, given a huge number of games don't support 21:9 natively and require third party tools to display a sensible FOV.

It's akin to arguing that a 2D game is better on an ultrawide by showing a zoomed out picture at 21:9, and a zoomed in one for 16:9.

          I have 20/13 vision and I don't see any reason why 1440p isn't sufficient for a 27" monitor

if you need to be 3 inches from a 27" to see it, you are in desperate need of an eyeglass prescription. I'm 3 feet away from mine and have zero issues

          >I'm 3 feet away from mine and have zero issues
At 3 feet, you would have a PPD of 106. This is fairly close to the practical limit of human visual acuity, and it's quite unlikely you achieve 20/10 vision without glasses.

What is the pixel density of this monitor?

        >What is the pixel density of this monitor?
About 110 DPI, whereas a 32" 4k monitor is about 138 DPI. So roughly 20% less pixels, not a massive difference but still significant.

But the worst thing about the aw3423dw is that coil whine is pretty much a standard feature.

I have one and it doesn't make any noise at all. I saw it mentioned in some reviews when I was looking at monitors to buy and I assume that's where you heard it too and have decided to take the leap to assume it's a "pretty much standard feature"

What is the pixel density of this monitor?

I did. I got the aw3423dw (not the f version) back during black friday last year for 40% off and 3 year burn-in warranty.
It's great. It was basically my only option because I didn't want to spend nearly $1000 anyway on any sort of IPS or VA panel. They're all without exception shit in one way or another, but all of them dont display true blacks like an OLED does. I'd rather pay a little more and get a QD-OLED panel that's actually going to give me a good viewing experience and alienware is the only game in town for that at the moment.

It's not true 4k but it's not 1440p either, it's very close to 4k more than it is 1440p.
Text clarity isn't good at close distances for web browsing. You should not be using this monitor for web-browsing.
Burn in is a much lesser problem with QD-OLEDS, which this monitor is. It's not an OLED. Right there you show you don't even know what you're critiquing. The 3 year warranty covering burn-in mitigates this even more.
Mine is completely silent, I've heard that issue though and it seems to be a hit or miss thing. However the noise is from the gsync module specifically which is not included in the model from OP you're replying to.
