I made no claim that starfield was good or that it gets good after a certain amount of time. Just that your post was purposely ignoring the point being made, which you've just done again
I can't imagine what kind of person you have to be to be okay with behaving this rodent like. kys foul rat man
No green arrow therefore you look like that >the people who can afford the hardware to run starfield are the real pajeets and not the poorfags seething about it on Ganker all day
Sure thing Rajeesh, keep working hard at that call center and maybe you'll be able to afford a GPU that can run Starfield a few years down the line
The cult is actually pro-Bethesda. chuds just can't enough of their 7ncanny valley faces or something. And who the fuck plays a shitty game that sucks moron dick for over 12 hours? Your image is only proof that those negative reviews are sincere
Because it's true that most people really do hate all the pozzed woke shit, it's tiring and boring, and it doesn't add anything but a hassle. That, and the game just isn't that great, it's bland and uninteresting.
Elden Ring gave you a magic teleporting horse to get to the next copy paste dungeon instead of walking, Starfield just needs to add a land rover or Star Wars style speeder bike to let you get from one copy paste area to the next on planets and people would complain less.
>t.unskilled
That's not why you play Soulsbornes, escapistfag. Games are best when they are brain/coordination challenges, not narrative passive consumption slop.
>inb4 muh exploration
Easter egg hunts are for children
western games are just simply trash
I do not even watch anime or even care for Japanese culture that much other than looking from the other side in simple interest
it's always been this way the west always follows japan until the 360 which they only gain relevance by japan simply not being able to show up
which now they just make absolute trash and make billions or go bankrupt
One is engaging. The other puts you to sleep. Other than building a ship, I felt like I did nothing in the 12 hours I played in Starfield before I uninstalled. I'm actually glad the game glitched out and refused to let me open a door I was supposed to open for the main quest.
I was going to earn more money to build a better ship, but door thing combined with the 2 or 3 random crashed I had made the game 90% unenjoyable.
Because one is a good and the other isn't? I don't know why Bethesda drones are so vexed when people don't like an obvious bad game. Have some standards and maybe Todd will improve the shitty games he puts out. If not, then accept Bethesda is dead.
just dawned on me that the reason there are so many Starfield hate threads is bc the anons who like this game are genuinely too busy enjoying themselves to give a shit
>haha from software is so good and I'm OBJECTIVELY enjoying myself more than the *ignorant* huddled gaming masses!!! do I fit in now??

Why is left loved so much while right is hated?
anyway, I will answer the question:
I don't "hate" Starfield, but it is a devolution of the Bethesda formula in a mundane setting (nasa-slop). Without putting in a giant review, tldr: >quest writing has further gotten worse overall compared to prior Bethesda, more mundane fetch slop than ever before - possibly because creativity was stifled by the mundane nasa-slop setting that was chosen (please stop making "realistic" space slop) >some of the worst faction questlines, though there are some memorable moments and segments - i enjoyed the faction questline and doing the stealth >the LEAST open world Bethesda has made in decades, more load screens and menu screens than I have seen in a game in a very long time - makes "exploration" extremely stilted - and if I wasn't running off of my Samsung 990 Pro I probably would have uninstalled the game >the worst introductory city in a Bethesda game (New Atlantis is embarrassing for the major central hub), and all the cities are highly instanced except for Akila, which is my favorite city aethetically and for being the most open >combat AI is completely braindead, possibly the worst I've seen in a long time
it's hard to approach, because there are so many shit games out there and I have put in a decent amount of time and have generally enjoyed playing SF... like relative to other games out today, and of the last 5 years, and referencing FO76 as the last Bethesda game I played I rate it relatively highly - i was able to extract enjoyment and fun out of this, though it's ending soon and once I beat the main story I will never touch this again unless some crazy mods come out for it
and for Elden Ring:
it's more than what I wanted, which was DS4 - I got a ds with sekiro elements and weapon arts
how has it gotten to the point where what was a niche action rpg is now seen as normie slop?
lol
you know even though ER sold a lot, on the level of AAA normieslop, the content in the game still filtered a vast majority of the people that tried to play it - 25% of people never even made it past Margot
>nu Ganker is such a contrarian hivemind it will prop up Starfield due to its burning hatred of Elden Ring
>nu-Ganker hates Elden Ring
why?
i haven't been here in a long time (since 2009)
If you ran a poll on all Ganker users asking if they like Elden Ring 99% would say yes
There is just a discord of dedicated schizos who make it seem like that's not the case. Would take too long to give a rundown of shazamchud lore but they're responsible for a lot of the anti starfield shilling too. Though some people actually hate starfield because it has pronouns and doesn't run on their 10 year old gaming laptop so it's not entirely fabricated like the Elden Ring hate
It's always the loud minority throwing their manure at eachother in the threads. Anyone with any sense often just avoids engaging other than the occasional chastisement for acting like swine. Cool people will just go off and talk about cool things.
>having the audacity to call ANYTHING normie or slop >when comparing to bethesdashit shartfield scam
Gotta love NPC reddit golems being completely clueless and deluding themselves beyond any hope of salvation LMAO
I bought the early access on Steam. That means I spent $100 on Starfield. After 20 minutes of playing (not including character creation), I turned it off because I was incredibly bored. It was all shallow bland shit. Animations sucked, graphics sucked, writing sucked, loading screens everywhere, teleport to every objective etc.
But. Bethesda drones told me that it gets REALLY good after 12-15 hours. So considering I spent $100 on this piece of shit I decided to spend my day playing it and seeing if it would magically become fun after 15 hours. Well, it didn't. My initial experience remained the same throughout the game. Nothing changed. Maybe they're talking about the "deep" main storyline and accessing NG+. I don't know how the Bethesda cult delude themselves really.
I guess Elden Ring doesnt have so offensively many morons, Miyazaki was on streak his his souls games, it didnt have stupid bugs in its release and it put the souls formula to the normie's favorite genre with relative success
ah yes the hideous npc's and powerful females everywhere is very annoying, but I get to kill them all so that's pretty fun >genocide simulator >female abuse simulator
I also forgot to mention: Elden Ring's Berserk like artstyle>> Bethesda's boring NASApunk shit
I could have stomached Bethesda's shit if the game had an interesting setting like Elder Scrolls or Fallout. Starfied is as boring as it can get in terms of space. Id rather replay Mass Effect trilogy again than play Starfield
Because Ganker is filled with fromdrones who only like to play the exact same slop and hate everything different. If your game doesn't have dodge rolls, shitty zanzibart lore with no story, grimdark fantasay aesthetics and enemies who don't react to being hit and instead force you to sit through a badly animated 3 minute long combo, it's not a good game according to fromdrones
Holy shit lmao the cope is palpable, imagine actually defending shartfield of all things, the slopiest of slop for literal normie NPCs, and doing it for free on top of that
You might be genuinely brain damaged, not even memeing kek

A giant middle finger from me. This series has been getting progressivelly worse since Dark Souls. It's steps from just being an inferior Devil May Cry clone.
Fromsoft improves something in every new game, with every game they set bar higher and higher to the point that no other developer can properly copy even DS1
Bethesda puts less and less effort into new games, they go backwards with every new product
ER is a very good game, of course it's loved. Haven't played Starfield myself yet, but from what I've seen it's very buggy, has very poor performance and the gameplay is lackluster.
>solid formula with good combat and proven gameplay loop and robust challenge that happens to be open world >muh IMMERSIVE OPEN WORL EXPLORE AND MEET PEOPLE WITH FINITE DIALOGUE TREES MUH SPACE ADVENTURE *soiface*
I dunno, bro. One of them is an actual game, I guess.
Fromsoft is more niche so their games are rated primarily by their superfans. Every else is either disinterested or deferential to said superfans because 'skill issue'. By contrast, Bethesda games are both casual and incredibly broad so not only does everyone feel like they can comment on them but they draw comparisons to like every other game in existence.
Bethesda should really just incorporate survival mode as a difficulty setting into the base game already. The give obstinate players too much freedom to ignore all the systems and then call the game shallow.
Because that's the kind of "people" that are playing bethesdashit mostly, and attacking/criticizing this scam feels like a personal attack to them, that's why they're so rabid
Plenty of people hated ER too after the initial hype died down and they realized that the last 1/3 of the game was a poorly balanced slog, that the overall experience overstays its welcome by the end and leaves little replay value, that most of the mini-bosses are just cut and paste variants of the same few encounters, that the “open world” is pretty but actually surprisingly lifeless in the sense of any randomness or surprise that makes an open world actually feel like a world where stuff is happening without you, that many of the boss fights employ very cheap mechanics that are balanced more around assuming the player is using ashes or co-op or overpowered weapons/builds and that its not really friendly to the solo player trying to GIT GUD their way to victory, etc.
It’s just that now well over a year later most people with these issues made their point for the weeks/months after release and eventually moved on with their lives and stopped talking about it. All that’s been left since are the players that love the game and that’s been the prevailing narrative since.

Why is left loved so much while right is hated?
it's one guy who has a constant schizo autistic meltdown over the fact that bethesda games aren't seen as 11/10s.

One is a mostly good game with engaging mechanics, the other is dogshit full of morons
Left one is a work of passion.
Right one is corporate slop.
Bloodborne was a work of passion. Elden Ring is just copy pasted assets from previous games.
People are still high on Dark Souls hype. Even thought it has less improvements over its predecessors than Starfield has.
Because one is kino and was made with love
The other is starfield
