I really do wish big N would release a few early Switch games / late WiiU games for other platforms. It doesn't harm Switch sales and keeps timed exclusivity, and prints money for Nintendo. I mean I have a Switch, I'm just like, why wouldn't they want more money?
Nintendo cultists would threaten acts of severe violence if their favorite plumber was p-por...p-ported...to another...c-c-c-c-c--cCONSOLE and...p-p-p-p-...PC!. AAAAHHHHHHHH IM SORRY NINTENDO IM SORRYYYYYYY I JUST PAYED FOR THE EXPANSION PASS FORGIVE MEEEEEEE.
This is the only correct answer. First party games are the only reason people even buy their shit consoles. If they gave up first party exclusivity, nobody would buy that shit. They'd just buy the game on superior platforms like PS5 and PC.
it's funny how business strategies that don't involve squeezing out the most profit for the immediate short term have become so rare people have a hard time grasping them anymore
nintendo makes money on every switch sale, they'd be insane to port their titles off their consoles when it's one of the most popular devices they've ever sold, and sell them at a profit.
Imagine a game literally called "Mario" avaiable on ALL curent platforms + last gen, the game is a mega-game multiple genres in one (the most popular mario genres and more), in the menu you can chose weither you want to kart, 2d, 3d, party, maker, battle royal, shooter (splatoon like), smash-like
Just imagine the sales
I mean, to be fair Sony's PC games have been flopping badly outside of Spiderman and GoW4 (and even those didn't come anywhere close to their Playstation sales).
I love these "why doesn't Nintendo become multiplat" questions. They just totally act like Nintendo isn't an individual company with their own agency. So many articles going "hmm, why hasn't Xbox acquired Nintendo yet? Do they not find Nintendo attractive or something? Weird huh?"
The reason Sony does not have any remarkable franchises like Mario, Zelda, or Pokemon is because they whore them out to other systems all the time. Mario being multiplat would factually hurt Nintendo by reducing the incentive to buy their consoles. Y'all are super dumb and it reeks of sour grapes.
This made me remember a dream I had many years ago, about finding a SNES Mario game in a thrift shop just called "Mario" (except it was shaped like an NES cartridge). This is almost exactly what I remember it looking like (even having fucked up CMYK colors for the Mario art, though I didn't specifically know that's what that kind of coloring was yet at that age).
Too much gameplay.
snoys can't comprehend anything that requires to hold a button, a direction a time another button press at the same time.
But they had Little Big Planet
mario64 is ported for ps4 already

It's not a movie
It doesn't match typical PlayStation owners' tastes.
It's just not.
Why NOT you stupid bastard?
>not rated M for Mario

Nintendo will break down and port their games to PC before they will ever let Sony have a sniff. They’re still holding a grudge from the ‘90s.
nintendo games are the primary reason most people buy nintendo consoles. without their exclusivity, sales would get hit hard in the longrun.

Nothing's really stopping them from porting their old backlog, ones that aren't playable on Switch whatsoever. Namely Gamecube and Wii titles.
But tendies basedgap over ports and remakes and Nigtendo sells millions of copies every single time.
Because I had dinner with Paul Allen twice in London just ten days ago.
did he give you his card

Mario
You can play this, PS "consoles" are just movie players after all
we all know nintendo gsames only sell cause they're on nintendo consoles, if they were on ps4 or pc nintendo would go bankrupt
>if they sold their games to a wider audience they would go bankrupt
Wut?
I mean, to be fair Sony's PC games have been flopping badly outside of Spiderman and GoW4 (and even those didn't come anywhere close to their Playstation sales).
I have decent enough PC able to run those snoy games, but i still refuse to give them any money
only nintendo fans buy nintendo games
and toddlers too, and what console do toddlers prefer?

I thought this was about to be real before the Switch came out.
Sony is totally fine with porting their games because they don’t have small dick complex

There is no incentive for them to release on anything else other than on their own hardware. They sell far more than other consoles and PC.
Only thing that beats out all of them is mobile games, which is why Nintendo is willing to have some mobile specific stuff.
