If rare was still under nintendo at the time people would've lapped up nuts and bolts as a huge innovation. Instead it just lost its nintendo bonus and so people shat on it for not being what they expected of a banjo game.
no they're not. In ToTK the nuts and bolts gameplay is basically a mostly optional mechanic. In Banjo it's the whole game.
They're both games about building vehicles and they both shit on their original franchises.
> They're both games about building vehicles
totk isn't about building vehicles, you don't have to build a single one after the tutorial > shit on their original franchises
TotK is better than every other 3D zelda except maybe OOT/MM which came out like 25 years ago. Nuts and Bolts isn't even better than Banjo Tooie
This. Not to mention that theres a quality issue too, Nuts and Bolts is a game about making your own vehicles, with a very limited set of parts and even fewer reasons to actively make stuff.
You can literally play the game without building vehicles for most of it. Some of the trials require it, but I wouldn't call that the majority of the game.
Have you played the game? Cause while its suppose to take place in the same map, its not a 1:1 clone. Theres more to explore and see, hell there wasn't even caves in the last game let alone the whole underground area.

>its not a 1:1 clone
Every major location is in the exact same place it was in BotW. There's no point in exploring when you already know where everything will be. Furthermore the side-content is copy-and-pasted so much that there isn't much to see or do after the first few hours.

You mean the locations that have had stuff added to them? Or new locations added? Honestly sounds like you haven't played the game at all and are just shitposting. Your whole argument is the same as saying 'Why watch a movie/show? You know the good guys will win in the end! "

What stuff? What locations? The point of exploring is to see unique things, fight unique enemies and solve unique puzzles, but TotK copy-and-pastes so much that there's no point. Fighting the cube robot the first time is cool, fighting it ninteen more times is boring. If you play TotK for 5 hours you've seen almost everything the game has to offer.

Open-world slop just doesn't work. There's way too much to stipulate on and develop around. Since you have to do everything procedurally, nothing feels like its supposed to and you end up with lots of repeated content, and a lot of areas with not a lot of interesting things in them.

Honestly, Hyrule is beat for beat a clone, even if they changed some of it up its still too similar to BotW's.
just say you didn't play the game you disingenuous homosexual

I played it. It was shit. Same map. Breakable weapons. Only a few new enemies. Shrines were worse than in BotW.

if you played it you'd know you don't need crafting for 90% of the game. > Same map
two new maps and new content everywhere > Breakable weapons
not a problem, it's an easy game, get good > Only a few new enemies.
it has enough new enemies for a direct sequel. What sucks is the combat as most enemies are braindead, but you can't say it's not the same in every other zelda game with a straight face > Shrines were worse than in BotW.
they were better in every way. First time in decades where I felt some 3D zelda puzzles weren't completely braindead. You probably got filtered

>two new maps
The sky islands aren't a map and the underground is empty. >it's an easy game
That doesn't change the fact that having to pause every thirty seconds stops the flow of combat, which is annoying. >it has enough new enemies for a direct sequel
Compare it to any other AAA sequel. Even Dark Souls 2 did a better job of adding content. > Shrines were better in every way
Nearly every single shrine involves building a vehicle to cross a pit. At least BotW had variety.
Nuts and Balls completely ditched any semblance of platforming gameplay. It's mostly a bunch of shitty races, and missions where you carry stuff using the default basket car. Its intro sequence just keeps shitting on the old games.
> Departure from series convention in a really controversial manner > Building mechanics > Large open world to facilitate ground-based, water-based and flying vehicles

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
Maybe..idk
Don't fucking LIE AND DECEIVE your fucking customer base?!

terrible bait chug bleach.
At least in the Zelda games each dungeon introduced new tools and new puzzles, in BotW and TotK every tool is given to you at the beginning of the game so you quickly learn all of their capabilities and limitations.

i dunno, all they really did was change up the formula a bit with dungeons (even with the divine beasts in my opinon). made them relentlessly repetitive rather than something handcrafted and actually fun rather than a simple puzzle that even a babby could solve. .
Never played nuts and balls, looks incredibly shitty. Huge zelda fan, totk is kinda depressing to me, quests are anti fun, hated the gmod shit at first sight and still do, such a chore.
If they ever make another banjo game, they HAVE to make them speak actual sentences. The grunts are fucking annoying and is the MAIN reason I've never played a banjo game.
the right had a nintendo bonus

It's genuinely hard to explain in any other way

makes sense
Can you help me with my geology homework?
I'm kinda drunk right now but magma is like really hot and rocks are 9ld as shit.

Sounds like TotK.
>totk isn't about building vehicles
75% of the game is. The other 25% is waiting for it to stop raining so you can climb a wall.
You can literally play the game without building vehicles for most of it. Some of the trials require it, but I wouldn't call that the majority of the game.
What else does the game offer? It's the same map as BotW so there isn't much point in exploration, and the side-quests are all fetch quests.

Damn.
I played the game wrong for 100 hours.
>In ToTK the nuts and bolts gameplay is basically a mostly optional mechanic
You use it to solve most shrine's puzzles
They're not but even if they are the same, Nuts and Bolts physics is horrible.
Left wasn't an open world game.
Because Banjo is shit and has a formula. Zelda can take on any form and thus is the superior franchise.
Nintendo fans are conditioned to eat garbage
Left is not a Banjo Kazooie game, right is a Zelda game. How fucking retarded are you?
Hahahahaha, right is NOT a Zelda game. It's Nuts and Bolts with a Zelda skin.
Nuts and Balls completely ditched any semblance of platforming gameplay. It's mostly a bunch of shitty races, and missions where you carry stuff using the default basket car. Its intro sequence just keeps shitting on the old games.
Standards have dropped considerably and the modern "gamer" is even more of a drolling retard than a decade ago somehow.
We at least bitched about horse armor. Zoomers love corporate cock and sucking dick.
Left was used as a main gimmick and it felt forced. Right gives it as another possibility of interaction in Breath of thr Wild
>Right gives it as another possibility of interaction
The shrines, aka most of the game, force you to build vehicles to beat them.
Too ahead of it’s time and also not a good sequel to an already established series with an established formula.
banjo pozzooie
Tendies hate anything that is not nintendo
Right is on switch and is zelda. That's all there is to it
reading this thread i'm left wondering how many anons actually believe the two games are anything alike
They are very similar.

Cope tendie. You're as bad as a snoy.
screech more you inbred nagger,
TotK was a great game.
Not my problem microsoft decided to lie then shit on its audience.
What's the point of a puzzle where every tool you need is clearly laid out in front of you?
so like in every Zelda game ever?
At least in the Zelda games each dungeon introduced new tools and new puzzles, in BotW and TotK every tool is given to you at the beginning of the game so you quickly learn all of their capabilities and limitations.
i dunno, all they really did was change up the formula a bit with dungeons (even with the divine beasts in my opinon). made them relentlessly repetitive rather than something handcrafted and actually fun rather than a simple puzzle that even a babby could solve. .
motion photography unrelated
Have you ever played a Zelda game?
Most tendies have no standards.
Never played nuts and balls, looks incredibly shitty. Huge zelda fan, totk is kinda depressing to me, quests are anti fun, hated the gmod shit at first sight and still do, such a chore.
I dunno, I just like building cool cars and shit.
Too bad there's nowhere to drive and your car despawns after thirty seconds.
Right has the Zelda title on the cover.
If they ever make another banjo game, they HAVE to make them speak actual sentences. The grunts are fucking annoying and is the MAIN reason I've never played a banjo game.
The one on the right is one of the best games of all time, the one on the left was just a pretty good game.
