for fun
Because it let me.
I value my time more than integrity of the experience
I used to not be like that but games nowadays don't respect your time at all. Like I won't just give myself whatever I need in game but I sure as hell will speed up the process of getting it.
LISTEN INDIE DEVELOPERS, ADD A NATIVE TURBO BUTTON TO YOUR GAMES. NO ONE HAS TIME FOR YOUR SHIT.
This. Especially with shit like Ubisoft's games wanting you to pay a microtransaction for a reasonable EXP gain.
Fuck you, and fuck your asking for money for a 1.25 exp gain.
because i wanted to moon jump like mario!
the gameshark vhs video explained it perfectly. its not "cheating", its enhancing the game experience. being able to bypass region protection is one enhancement.
I had a goldfinger 3 in 1. it was a top loader, psx game shark, and unlocked region games. way cheaper to play Japanese games than buying a chip and modding your Playstation
>top loader
it played Gameboy, gbc, and advanced games on psx
yep, I had some bootleg version that plugged into the back in the console and it let you play region free games or pirated games. it didnt let you cheat or play gameboy games unfortunately.
Because its fun
What does that do?
Godmode.
>dev puts stuff you want to play with behind 1000 mindless battles or the end of the game/new game+ only
That's why
because sometimes i want to play an rpg and don't want to sit through the random encounters n shit
i know it's morally okay because even square seems to admit that kind of gameplay is dated as fuck when they add all those boosters and shit to their re-releases
For final fantasy 7 did they add those to the pc versions yet?
no clue, last time i played through 7 was on my switch.
>Deus Ex 1
>spend hours and hours on each level, do everything
>get to end of level
>turn on no-clip and 1,000 speed
>murder everything and everyone
>still have to "play" since god mode isn't on
Most fun I've ever had in a game.
>To skip stages I've aleady played through dozens of time in a game with no save feature
>To create an easy mode in a game that doesn't have one, cheating yes but gives insensitive to actually finish the game
>To give myself the gear I would have had in a game that takes all your gear when you restart a level
>To remove the mind numbing grind locking certain content behind certain achievements (Like say the mega man hand canon in Dead Rising)
Because the game sucks, I'm not wasting 200h grinding some bullshit material, watching the same stupid mining animation on Monster Hunter FU, fuck you.
b/c i don't feel like grinding nor relying on a 3% drop rate on some item like i'm in a MMO or something.
To extend the longevity of a game. You 100% it and then break it as much as possible before you move on.
Because outbreak wasn't fun on virus timer. I want to solve the puzzles and shoot zombies without worrying about " Time for my dose!"
Bro, are you me? I always thought it would be way better if the game had an option with personal immunity that functioned as timerless.
small penor
because I can
I don't cheat with that, I cheat because I was raised on guide-reading and FAQ following and literally had no one to give me shit for it or say anything about it
I was given a fuckoff huge box of Nintendo Powers so I learned about maps and guides and secrets more than I had games to play
one of the worst things about faqs is having to read though the creators insufferable "humor", and content they just totally don't put into their guides.
Only game I cheated to beat was FFX-2. Started all 3 characters at lvl 99. I'm so glad I didn't waste time on that game. The story was garbage. Fight system was cool but it's not worth playing normally if the story isn't interesting.
