How would you react if the day before Starfield released Todd put out a video to hype the game and at the end he says he has a special announcement and says that he's going to be retiring from video game development.
my hype for star field is dying, and after hifi rush reminding me what a good game is, and seeing the poor gameplay of star field, i dont have much hope for it ever being what i would want out of a space game. you cant even land on planets and explore with your ship, its literally a cutscene and loading screen
Todd has been stuck making casualized games for more than a decade due to constant corporate meddling, and now it's probable that he overestimated his studio's ability to develop Starfield.
>Will he finally remind the world what a good open world looks like?
yeah when tes6 releases, except it'll probably be post-war-with-china so nobody will play it

If he's humble enough to take a few pointers from Star Citizen, maybe.
Yeah a few pointers on technical pitfalls to avoid maybe
He doesn't have the rights to Norrath.
What happens when Todd dies? He's looking pretty old lately.
Bethesda goes the way of Bioware.
>You mean after years of making shitty second rate RPGs, they shit out a good Star Wars game and an amazing Scifi trilogy?
He's only in his 50s, he has decades left to make games.
>only in his 50s,
Its not uncommon for people to die in their early 60s now
>He's only in his 50s
>Only
Anon...
I kneel, Morrowind father.
How would he know? Did he play Elden Ring?
no because bethesda games suck ass. he will hopefully remind the world of what a straightforward modding foundation looks like.
