Will you play the remasters of Suikoden 1 and 2 when they come out soon?

yep, very excited. i like that they didnt seem to change too much. im wondering if the content from the saturn version of suikoden1 will be in. always wanted to play that, but there was never a translation. also the loading times were unbearable on the saturn version from what ive seen. suikoden 2 was the last jrpg i ever played. once the genre went 3d with voice acting it was just too cringe for me to keep playing these games.
>im wondering if the content from the saturn version of suikoden1 will be in
as of the tgs build of the game it doesn't seem to have the saturn exclusive stuff like Eikei's arena
source: stuff people found in the leaked build
>im wondering if the content from the saturn version of suikoden1 will be in.
lol of course it won't
>always wanted to play that, but there was never a translation
There is now
link? all i see is some people talking about it being worked on.
My bad, mixed it up with all the other PS1 JRPGs translated for the Saturn recently
Only if they added a hard mode. I never played 1 but I rented 2 and liked it from what I played, but I can't play jrpgs anymore because they're just mind numbingly boring now with how easy they are
You can switch to original graphics afaik
might as well just play the originals afaic
original translation is objectively bad, admitted by Nick Rox, the original translator, who only had a month to do it. This remaster + classic sprites is going to be the definitive way to play it.
kek im reading about this now
>the absolute state of konami's autism
I've already played them
>Suck-Odin
yes
>remake, remake, remaster, reboot, remake, reimagining, remake, remaster, remake, remake
*BARF*
No. Resident Evil Remake on the Gamecube (and no other version) was the one and only example of a remake that works and doesn't make the game objectively worse.
But that's wrong. Hell, just this year we got the Live A Live remake which is absolutely fantastic outside of a few dumb localization changes. Everything else about the game is improved, and holy frick the recomposed soundtrack is good, based Yoko
>absolutely fantastic except where they fricked it up
Stop being a mindless consumer. There's no point in remaking a game that doesn't need fixing except to squeeze some more money out of idiot consumers like you without having to come up with new or interesting game ideas.
>Stop being a mindless consumer.
how come though
Shining Force CD
The new backgrounds are positively atrocious for how out of place they look against the sprites. I'd rather just boot up the PS1 originals.
You're in luck
i guess the insinuation here is that these are the original graphics with the new map in the right hand corner, implying you can choose. i hope you can also choose to turn that map off, its really not necessary in these games and looks to be an eyesore
Maybe the first, idk I just prefer it way over 2 atmosphere-wise, and the aesthetics are better too. Gameplay is so-so, I really hate how so many characters butt into your party, like frick you Gremio and especially the homosexual S-range duo for the final dungeon.
>I really hate how so many characters butt into your party, like frick you Gremio
Sad you missed an entire point of what makes Suikoden 1 so great. You're supposed to be endeared by the person who cares about you so much that despite knowing their usefulness is running thin and they're becoming a liability they stick by you till they inevitably die.
Many games try to get this point across but Suiko1 is the only one that has the balls to marry the story content with the gameplay.
I still stopped caring about Gremio the moment I got Valeria. 108 characters doesn't really mean a a lot if 90+ are garbage.
>I really hate how so many characters butt into your party
theres one part in suikoden 1 where to recruit someone you have to fill your party entirely with specific characters in order to recruit someone. its pretty late in the game and i think there is only one opportunity where you dont have forced party members that actually allows you to put them all in the party. if you dont do it then, you'll miss out on that character and never be able to recruit him
Yeah that fricking smith
already played them
I'm more interested in heyjuden chronicles

Good enough translation to become an acclaimed game until now. If it's actually shit enough, someone will make a psf patch with the new translation sooner or later.
No reason to fund korean pachinko mafia.
I never play remasters.
if it comes out physical, yeah. if not, i'll just replay the originals. i was gonna replay them soon but now i'm gonna wait for the release.
Wait what
When did this happen? Is modern Konami even competent enough to do a barely passable remake?
