You cretin, if you have Internet connection of any sort, your service provider has access to so much information that they hide it from the governments of the countries they operate in, in order to not be swamped with red tape and additional procedures. No VPN or Tor protects you - they can pinpoint the location of your Internet connection even if you use either/both.

Nobara handles everything for you and is moron proof. It also comes with all the nessecary things out of the box for streaming/content creation. Mint is also a really good choice for beginners and hard to break, but if you want something beyond the basics of "it just werkz" you're gonna be doing some googling.

No Ubuntu/PopOS/Garuda/Manjaro shit. The only Arch based distro you should be using is Arch with Archinstall. And if you don't know what that means, then stick to the above two recommendations.

I'm honestly worried about having to install Linux at some point in future because Win10 will stop being supported and 11 is complete failure at every level. I once was using Mint on my work PC and in the end installed Windows 7 because I was spending more time trying to figure out why this or that software refuses to work than doing actual work.

For regular shit like browsing (shitposting, watching videos, porn) it's not that different.
Games work pretty well with Proton/Steam.
Then you have things like Lutris which basically installs games from your accounts and has a bunch of installer options which may just stop working. For example I bought Songs of Conquest on GoG. Worked fine.
Wanted to reinstall it recently, but the installer shits out some error (if I launch the game after the successful installation, the game starts and runs fine) and then pretend the game wasn't installed.

Honestly, it reminds me of the Windows XP days where some random shit fricks something else up

you can adjust everything in the settings. TPM is a problem but easily bypassed if you know what you're doing. Functionally Win 11 is the same as Win 10 in terms of privacy violations only Win 11 works out of the box this time around.

          Anonymous

Wrong. Right click menu is still locked behind "more options" bullshit for extra unnecessary clicking. Start menu can have disabled "suggestions" but it only leaves it with gaping empty space, icons are way too small and only display couple at once, again hiding rest under "show more" or however it was called.

I'm actually using my PC for something more than vidya or browsing internet, I can't stand all these drooling idiots claiming that 11 have "same functionality as 10". Not even close in 10%. Why you keep lying?

Only "true" DX12 games (more precisely anything that requires fully supported D3D11_1 and above), which is surprisingly rare even nowadays. Even after all these I can count the number of games one hand that I missed due to OS requirements.

Clicking "install" and "play" in Steam works for the majority. Look up Bottles and Lutris for the rest (check protondb/winehq to check if it works at all).

Mint usually just werks, unless you do something stupid, and overall looks and feels like windows, for better or for worse.
For resources idk, define "use". Usually if you get stack on something, look it up online, stack exchange-like sites have instructions how to do it. Bonus points if you actually look up what you did instead of just copying it.
For every command line tool, you can type man "toolname" or" toolname" -h in terminal. Linux Command Line and Shell Scripting Bible is a good book, if you need something more comprehensive.
