At what point should I ve doing Eirika's paralogue?
I tried on the next chapter (after I got her) and I was basically carried by Kagetsu who did most of the work, but I just couldn't beat it without 1 casualty so I quit.
I did it after 20. Originally I was going to wait until after you get the character from 22 but 21 kicked my ass pretty hard so I went and did it
You can use obstruct from the middle staircase to wall the thieves turn one to buy time. I'd recommend making sure your lyn user has 15 bond to use her bow for the dragons too.

Engage seriously has some of the worst voice direction ever. None of the voice actors match their characters and the delivery of the cringe inducing dialogue that’s delivered like amateurs overacting in a play makes my skin craw
The boss stalling in this game is absurd. They'll literally just wait all fricking day until you reach a certain point on the field.
What a garbage fricking game design. You can literally just end turn over and over and have an infinite loop.

I think Hortensia's first appearance and Ivy's second will both wait until you're in range of at least two people in their group, but other than that the bosses attack within range or start rushing you from absurdly far away.
Why is Leif so shit? I'm not expecting him to teleport to the boss instantly and frick them up the ass, but I want him to do something. Quadruple Hit does no damage, his stat buffs are questionable, his sync skills are okay but need significant investment to make Vantage work, his only good emblem weapon is basically just a glorified Levin Sword, his weapon swap picks moronic choices constantly, I mean what the frick. They must have been out of their minds when they designed his kit, or someone has a serious hate boner for Leif.

What the frick were they thinking? I'm not sure if each hit even does full damage, by Ch24 in Maddening my units are doing 13+0+0+0 with it while regular attacks are 20x2.
Each hit does full damage, it's just that the weapons are piss weak. I'm on chapter 23. Marth's Paralogue has a ton of enemies with 34 defense. If you have 40 strength, the physical hits will do 42 damage combined, which is about half of a single enemy's HP. Meanwhile, Silver Greataxe Great Aether exists and can hit that in an area.
He gives something like 7 hp and 4 def at max bond, as well as -7 damage from arms shield. He's clearly made for tanks, the issue is just that Ike is way better for tanking and dodge tanks don't care about that stuff. Quadruple hit is really only 3 hits since the first is a magic weapon, and since it's all mediocre weapons you need a high innate strength to make it do more damage.
I get the design purpose, but it feels like even without Ike, Roy exists and also mogs him. It doesn't help that Arms Shield SP cost is insanely cheap and you can sort of abuse its use by using the trade function to swap your weapons around after performing an action.

why? hit and avoid stay the same. Flame lance does weigh the unit down by 2 speed but it doesn't make a difference since the enemy still has 100% hit and doesn't double or anything.

I’m replaying FE4 and people like to say that it’s Sigurd Solo Simulator but in the second chapter there’s a silver axe warrior who can’t be doubled without the speed ring and has decent hit even against weapon triangle disadvantage and woods, and is surrounded by ranged dudes as well. On top of that, I got him to low health with Sigurd but had to retreat, and he ran back to his base to get more soldiers, the same number and type he initially attacks Evans castle with
