Both of the new weapons, fists and longswords, are pretty great and fun. But most of the new content is new game+ stuff, like having six martial arts on a weapon, or new spells.
Why are they so quiet about the ronin game, did they realize that nobody wants a half baked simplified nioh clone with 3 recycled enemies and had to delay the game?
No idea, thought for sure it'd be at TGS, but I guess they're saving it for the game awards. Would rather have Nioh 3, but Rise of the Ronin is pretty much the only reason I might get a PS5. But we aren't even sure if its a PS5 exclusive, or a come to PC later
Not as deep as Nioh's combat while also being easier thanks to how busted universal parrying is.
So it ends up playing differently too. Game patches also come with core gameplay changes for the better imo, so they are at the very least trying to turn the game into something more than what it was when it launched.
As a result you get a game that is better than average but fails to reach the highs set by Nioh 2.
Too streamlined, usually when you dumb down games it is to reach a wider audience. TK could have kept the Nioh audience if they made it just as deep, but they alienated them and didn't get a new audience for the trouble.
well it was a game pass game too, so mass appeal was definitely the issue. they tried too hard to cater to idiots by dumbing everything down but at the same time made the first boss too difficult for them so they ended up filtering most of the players they were after.
It was a pretty big filter, true. But the filter also teaches you just how broken parries are once everything clicks. It's a case of a single mechanic making or breaking the game. You can't really play Wo Long effectively without abusing the braindead easy parries. If you try to play it like many Souls game players initially attempt to you just get fucked over and over.
i agree that it's a great tutorial, i just think it was a mistake for a gp game to do that. there's too many games on the service, they'll drop it and play something else instead of learning the mechanics. the people that bought it were mostly niohfags, so were disappointed it wasn't nioh so by not catering to the newfag gp users and giving them a challenging fight right away, they probably scared most of them off.
yes that's what my reply afterwards was saying. they dumbed it down enough for niohfags to think it's worse but not enough for casuals. the worst of both worlds, really.
Wo long works fine on my machine. You might have volumetric clouds on. Like most jap devs they fully render and didn't actually optimize those. Set them to standard or low if you struggle.
The optimal way to play Wo Long is spamming attacks and deflecting, constant aggression. it doesn't have the same rhythm and vibe as Nioh with ki pulsing. I eventually did come around to Wo Long, but Nioh's gameplay still felt better, you could do more
people complained about Sekiro being boring because it only had 1 weapon and no RPG builds.
Turns out weapons and Pokemon rock paper scissors elements can't make the simple souls formula interesting. Stick to Nioh
>Free Wo Long mission out on November 9, featuring Mezuki from Nioh 2
It would be better idea to make a mission for Nioh 2 at this point, who the fuck plays Wo Long still lol
Playing this game right after elden mid felt amazing. Actually being constantly engaged in the combat in a continous back and forth feels so, so much better than the faggy I-frame rolls from elden mid. watching it filter asmongold was funny as fuck
Anyone who says a console version would be better is obviously wrong. My friend owns it on ps5 and that thing runs at a variable of 40-60 unless you run it a performance mode.
Played nioh 2 for 500hours. Couldnt get into wo long. Chink history doesnt interest me at all sorry but Jap history is literally Chink history but cooler. Mjx4kt
I'm still waiting for the PC port to not be a piece of shit. Even SoP runs slightly better. Nioh 2 is just leaps and bounds a better more refined product and feels great at 144fps UW
Third DLC out on December 12
Played the demo on release and it was pretty meh. Is it any better with the DLCs?

They teased this for half a year and it's just 2 reused assets in a failed kusoge
Never played Wo Long, but why did it fail whereas Nioh succeeded?

They didn't dumb down the game enough considering the discourse on it. You're brain dead.

For me it just had less content than Nioh 2. I got it for the PC eventually but the port was bad so I waited

It had a retarded name.

Chinese, worse combat and personal pronouns

Who's the guy in the mask? Xu Shu?

>game 3 doesn't have as much content as game 2 which has all its dlc released and 90% of game 1's content prebaked into it
big if true
Just beat it, the punch pirate was harder.

Elden cring is the peak unfun and soullessness, almost any recent souls copycat is better.
Asmon finished the game.

Asmongoonies.... how do we cope with our king laughing at us?
For me, it's stranger of paradise.

Have Koei Tecmo gotten the message at this point that people just want more Nioh and not a shitty Dynasty Warriors asset flip clone?
