Do you guys think any of the announced "spiritual successors" - Songs of Conquest or Fanstratics (god what an ugly name) - have any chance to succeed? It feels to me if they come out as complete clones of HoMM3 they will be dismissed as the inferior game since HoMM3 already exists, adn if they do something differently it will be considered a "bad" deviation. from the formula.

I will try them out probably, but yeah, HoMM 3 hasn't aged a day for me, so I don't see why not just play that
