              >played by horus to beat up nerd legion when only ordered to bring the big nerd in, and deny the emperor his emergency plug for the golden throne, and if you take the forgeworld books into account handed several thousand psyker children to the sons of horus to be made into more traitor marines later

I could forgive most of these since 30k was made as a setting to justify the state of 40k, but space wolves fans acting like their favorite faction didn't do the sports equivalent of doing ignoring your team's planned play to do some heroball shit, which later leads to you being down by 5 points with ten seconds on the clock is asinine, and I don't even like the thousand sons as a legion

If you had the head of IT accidentally upload a program that wrecks your company's internal network designed by a rival company, and HR (who for some reason has a divisional rivalry with IT, think neckbeards, and middle-aged women) was told by the founder/boss to bring them to reprimand him, and have them stay however many unpaid overtime to fix the problem, but while this is being done the CEO who was headhunted by the rival company convinced HR it would be better to not only fire the head of IT, but do several rounds of layoffs on the IT department. Assuming no legal shit, do you blame IT for the initial, but still salvageable frickup, or HR for making it worse by firing the only department head who could've fixed the problem, gutting the entire IT department, and forcing the boss to cover the workload that the IT department would've done.

In any circumstance HR would have the blame placed because while IT did initially frick up, and were about to reprimanded, HR threw gas to the fire firing the one person with the expertise to fix it, and forcing anyone under the head IT to join the rival company.

                >accidentally
                It was no accident
Magnus specifically did what he was told several times not to fricking do and had the entire structure of the great crusade changed the last time he didn’t listen. What your analogy is failing to add is your IT guy is a massive fricking frickup. Who people keep telling “you’re fricking up, please stop fricking up.” And in response he fricks up even harder than the last time he fricked up specifically because he thinks he can’t possibly be fricking up seriously read any Magnus book. Even if he’s right this is his exact thought process and behavior. And the program he fricked up with? for some reason almost killed the entire company and added bugs that literally will never be fixed?

Magnus almost destroying the entire imperium gets swept under the rug too easily just to shit on somebody who is moronic but 100% correct for wanting to kill this fricker. Your analogy is talking about meta shit completely disregarding established character and the politics of the imperium. It isn’t just an authoritative oppressive shithole for the vibes. titles, orders, and hierarchy matters. You want to know what’s not meta? Undermining your superiors. There are only two people who can amend, discuss, or countermand the Emperor’s word. If the emperor tells you to do something you fricking do it, but if either of those 2 dickheads tell you something you fricking take it seriously. They speak with His word and His power to undermine them is to undermine Him and look at fricking Magnus and tell me if you think any fricking Primarch wanted to be in his position. Literally every Primarch he meets tells him he went too fricking far regardless what happened. And I say all this as someone who likes Magnus and his equally moronic sons

To be fair, they legitimately didn't when they first came back into contact, they just had Omegon's Alpha Legion first let them regain contact before Alpharius' Alpha Legion tried to stop them and got shit on.

Then they had a storm of messages demanding their loyalty to one side or the other and assertions flying around of betrayal by basically everyone. You'd rightly go "what the frick is happening" and try to at least get up to speed. Mortarion is really the one who ruined that, by coming to them on Prospero and revealing everything.

NTA but I also read that as a consequence of them not really being a part of the imperium. Sure they fought for it, and probably agreed with some of its ideals, but the scars were too damn independent so of course they’d be confused. They didn’t really have loyalty to the imperium so much so as they did a vague idea and vibes

Atleast that’s how it came off to me

True, though it's mentioned by Malcador that Jaghatai was deliberately given the Emperor's own independent, take-no-questions, decide-myself attitude, and that the other Primarchs should not criticise him for it. The Emperor also liked that about Jaghatai, they agreed on nothing and were in constant shouting matches, but the Emperor actually enjoyed the arguments and happily let the White Scars frick off to rage through the stars at high speed, like he was living vicariously through them.

Exactly what the original purpose is we don't know because Fulgrim and the Khan had their planets switched, so what came out in both their cases was very different to perhaps what was originally intended.

The wolf business is less of my issue than the favoritism. The planet does not deserve to have a unique relationship with the warp that legitimizes their demented "Our psykers are different than other psykers". The "our space marines are super cool badasses who slay pussy all the time and are the best space marines at fighting other space marines and and and" like it's 13 year old vgh timmy's fantasy. And I tire of milquetoast anti-heroes who have a heart of gold despite being rebellious savages (but not too savage! They're bad boys but not too bad uwu!) The frick is it with wolves and autism. Seriously, there's some quality to wolves that solicits autistic homosexualry in whoever glomps onto them as a totemic idol.

That’s not favoritism every single faction has their own version of that
      >Dark Angels - Infinite number of macguffins stored on the rock and the ability to manufacture their own terminator suits. Also still a legion
      >Blood Angels - Their geneseed is extra gay and almost anyone can try to take it even irradiated mutated, degenerate fricks. Their Psykers are on average the strongest of any legion and I’d argue that Tiguris is not the most powerful Psyker in the imperium anymore after Mephis ascension. They also develop the most custom Psyker war gear outside of the grey knights including fricking dreadnoughts And cowls that tell the shadow in the warp to go frick itself
And so on and so forth. It’s not favoritism the point is to show you the different flavors of this space fantasy and to show you what you could do. The point of Fenris having an active world spirit is so that you can /your dudes/ along that line. Also to make them distinct. Every legion has this
