Just do like 3 runs up to 30 with duty finder groups and you'll be close to 30/30, that's enough to do the first floors and then you can slowly build aetherpool by yourself.
I'd rather not touch it at all than play it with others, because that's not enjoyable in the slightest, which I think I'm going to do.

NIN definitely can and if you learn which mobs are proximity based aggro you can use stealth to sneak by stuff

At level 15 you start unlocking dungeons you can do with matched players pretty regularly and they're all a part of dailies so it's not like you wont be able to find anyone to help you run them. In ARR a lot of leveling dungeons are unlocked in side quests though so you gotta be actively looking for blue quest icons.
Don't know exactly what you mean but I'm on level 35 of the free trial and you definitely have to progress through a main story with a lot of kind of boring standard MMO quests.
You'll often be in a position of, even rushing, having to do like an hour of over-world busywork to unlock the next dungeon or whatever. But I have to say that on a mechanical level this is all very satisfying and really hooking me. Don't like the lore very much, or the story, find myself skipping a lot of dialogue, but it all looks nice and most importantly they've nailed this monkey brain dopamine loop of incremental progress so that despite what I'm skeptical of I've been playing constantly.

The only exception was running DR because the drop rate in PotD for the timeworn whatevers was so low
it varied, HW fates were faster than early bozja, delubrum reginae was much much faster than POTD, zadnor was much faster than running alexander or whatever the fuck 50+ times
I'd like to add also that the change to relics with Bozja where you could grind them outside of the exploratory content was because people HATED Eureka and that hatred even carried over to Bozja

Yeah. And that precisely my problem with most of the content in the game. I just wanna be able to log in and relax, enjoy the game casually. But I'm better than a casual player so the casual content bores me. I want more challenging casual content and right now all we get is 1 ex fight per patch. I imagine this is somewhat how Ultimate raiders feel too. I think a big reason why this game feels like it has no content is because the content is divided by 3 for each of these groups. No matter how much content they put out, only 1/3 of it will be of interest to any given player. When 2/3 of all content isn't for you, it makes the game seem like it's neglecting your demographic, right?
That’s a problem I have with the mentality that content shouldn’t be made for “1% of the playerbase”. There’s so much diverse shit to do but almost none if it is for 100% of players everyone enjoys something that puts them in a “1%” group. When you start culling things that only a few people enjoy you piss off everyone eventually.

The odds are very high. Just have a tanky set up because they probably won't heal you and they won't rez you if you fuck up. Otherwise it's very simple to do as long as you know the extremely basic mechanics.

I think people are being dishonest when they are rating expansion because sometimes they would include post expansion content like the patches questline if it support they views, and if not they would straight up ignore it (see stormblood). You always hear about 5.3, but 5.4 or 5.5? Can't talk about that because it was worse then stormblood or how about 5.1 or 5.2 not being better then EW.

EO is the worst deep dungeon. They removed all the usual difficulty from deep dungeons (limited pomanders, high enemy damage), and replaced it with route-memorization of raid mechanics. Once you get a single solo clear, you will never fail another.
I don't know how the EW patches have sucked so bad, but they found a way. MSQ sucks, Island Sanctuary really sucks, and they even found a way to make a Deep Dungeon suck. Clearly FF16 impacted development quite a bit, even though they lied and said it didn't. If things don't improve I am not going to subscribe beyond 7.0.

time management isn't an issue at all, so you aren't having to make decisions about using pomanders vs. the clock. Tanks will go into the upper floors and end up with 20mins before the boss without breaking a sweat (lol)
Furthermore, you only need to look at stuff like replacing Frailty with Lethargy. Frailty required thought about when to use, whereas Lethargy is just a floor wipe and a huge buff over its predecessor.
PotD was braindead until 170+ and then it's still just chug sustain potions, don't fight specific monsters, and do 2 bosses.
HoH is just plain easy with the added petrify/summons/100 less floors of tedium.

Upper floors of HoH are not easy. Time is very limited, and unless you're a tank then steel is required for certain mobs because of crits + they hit so hard.
Top DD Solo players don't speak for anyone, even among people who do solo DD, most are not doing it for the sake of doing it repeatedly, over and over again. It is a monotonous task.
EO has actual mechanics on the trash. That's more to learn and more engaging than just sustain potioning every single time you pull anything.

The only thing I'd say is different is that 81-100 don't have a damage increase like with HoH. Either it was designed with more of a solo-friendly focus in mind, or if the scaling with stats they give at level 90 + aetherpool is way more effective than the level 70 + aetherpool.
Other than that, it's been funny watching the veterans that clear often go on about how they're "disappointed" like they expected something super challenging.
These morons have cleared PotD/HoH on all jobs, and know about all mechanics everything has to offer. All that experience and knowledge (especially from HoH) translated into EO. They're literally raidfags, but for Deep Dungeon, expecting the devs to cater to the 1% of the 1% of players that actually do this solo.
The high damage of HoH and the limited time made it much more challenging, and even top players did not clear every run. EO has completely removed that challenge; it is simply rote memorization of AOE mechanics that are as simple as an EX raid.

This is not for me. I will wait till the Deep Dungeon mod with all the intel is updated, since I value my time more than that shit. EW patches have been absolutely atrocious.
They went way overboard with the one-shot kills. The entire thing is just one huge knowledge check, after that it becomes piss easy. No idea who asked for it, but I guess it fits with the EW encounter design.
