Post your character levels (both DoW/M & DoH/L) and I'll try to provide some advice based on your current place in the game.
Do levequest turn ins. At max level with 100 leve's you should make 1.5 to 2 mill per 100 levies then you can just let them regen for a week or two until they're at 100 again. It probably takes a couple of hours for all the resources and crafting for a mass turn in and you have weeks between to set up again.
What leves?
Farm older extremes like titania or hades or current content with drops that require some skill like the new deep dungeon.
Do unreal every single week either buy the corgi minion because retards lap that shit up or get a mount.
Do blue mage weeklies and spend the allied seals on aetheryte tickets to reduce your expenses
Twiddle your thumbs between raids because theres nothing to sink your gil into if your not raiding. Eventually you will have tons of cash to burn.

What's the fastest way to farm aetherpool in PotD? I'm at floor 61 (solo deathless run) and have both at +85. I kinda want to get to +99 to be sure so I can at least do up to floor 100 easier but I dunno what's the fastest way to level up. I wish it had a fast way like EO has with clearing Tiamat for easy level up...

Most of the reason why so many people WANT harder content but never play extreme level and up content comes down to the fact that most player can be taught the mechanics of a fight in a single sitting, but they can't be taught how to play the game optimally and the devs are refusing to teach players how through singleplayer skill checks so "skilled" players are forced to pick up the slack in the only types of content where it's "socially appropriate" which just exponentially increases the pressure put on these players and how much time is required to beat the content.
That is why the Japs seems okay with treating both criterion dungs and extreme trials as "midcore" while in the west they are seen as hardcore, in moron-land the social expectation is to do your best even when it is not needed but in the west you are only supposed to "do your best" when whatever you are doing is critical to others success but not your own
I honestly would disagree. Classes are dumbed down to such an unreasonable level that I can hardly believe people fuck that up any more. I am just annoyed that all the difficulty is put into encounters with increasingly esoteric tells and solutions. I'd rather them put more difficulty into playing your class properly.
That being said, my favourite combat was always FF XI. The way classes interacted with each other via skill chains and support/buffs was just amazing and I have no idea why MMOs phased that out.
Obviously they have not dumbed them down enough if you think that is true. If you have ever tried to PUG any extreme level or harder content 2-4ish weeks after release you'd know that 8/10 groups ends up disbanded thanks to running into enrage one too many times or thanks to players trying to backseat lead the raid instead of making their own groups.
Hell, just playing current "normal" content with a DPS meter should tell you just how fucking bad 90% of the playerbase is at playing what remains of these gutted jobs

If you actually pay attention to mobs in hunts, dungeons, fates, and raids you'd find that there actually aren't that many new things specific to just EO, and that's why you have lethargy poms

Minmaxing is when you change the dummy rotation to suit a fight and its specific timings which is something I'll never bother to do on any job but samurai because of how fucked you get if you don't align with your party buffs.
you can fix that if you barrel stabilizer as your first weave after using hypercharge + the first heat blast if you know what I mean.

Played through all of MSQ and WHM and picked up RDM the other day and holy fuck this feels way harder, I thought you guys said DPS is braindead?

Playing something else simply reminded you there's a health bar that can run out.
It's not really that, it just feels a lot harder to focus on rotation and mechanics than to focus on party's health(+glare spam/dot matenence) and mechanics.
dps is only hard when you are trying to learn/remember how to play the job. Once you get the rotation down, you stop having to focus on it and it get easier.
healer is harder in high end content, the thing is that se is very afraid of stressing out normal mode healers so that the damage you have to heal in normal content can actually be entirely supplied by the tank (warrior)
in high end content sometimes people can die literally to a low roll heal and 2 back to back high roll damage hits
I should have mentioned that I have done savage and current EXs as WHM too, I only started leveling a DPS because I felt bad that the other healer in my group was the only one swapping to DPS when we only needed one healer.

It's much less stressful though, because your failure typically isn't even on display. When you fuck up as tank or healer, somebody dies and the pressure is on. Fuck up as DPS? Wow you did a bit less damage. Nobody will notice except maybe that guy with a tracker and fuck him. Unless you're doing something blatantly, visibly terrible like using single target against a group of 5, you're just free to do your own thing stress free.
You're probably focusing too much on the hotbar, try soloing some trials with the hot bar turned off and see how you do. Also move the balance gauge and procs to the middle of the screen so you don't have to look down for them. Once you're comfortable where things are dps just boils down to press button and don't stand in the orange circles. Ganba anon enjoy the queue times

EO was honestly underwhelming, making everything one shot while reducing auto attack damage really sucks.
I've tried to spend some times trying to grab top 100 CC tittle, but I'm not sure my rank will stays till the end of the season (I'm currently around rank 60).
The one thing I was looking forward to to spend some time on, the relic step, ended up just being an extremely easy tomestone grind...I upgraded 3 weapons without even grinding for it.
I already got all the mounts from the current EX trials.
I already got my weapon and chest from P8S.
6.4 is probably not till 4 months from now too (and I'm being optimistic).
I probably should just try to work on my backlogs of stuff to read/watch/play instead.
