Assuming you have none, XSX. You have Game Pass and won't have trouble setting up anything. Not that I did, anyone can install anything in Deck with enough time and stuff from the store is perfectly fine, also extremely comfy; but nu-games don't run at more than 30fps extremely blurred out.
I just had way too many PC games but I don't wanna sit all day in front of my computer, so I felt like deck was a good change for me.
Everyone I know who has a switch hasn't played anything for 2 years except Fall Guys when it came out. Seriously, what do (You) morons play in there?
btw it took me 30 mins to install protonUp-Qt and another 20 mins to install decky just to get protonDB badges plugin, later I realized Fall Guys runs perfectly on GE-Proton-29 and now it runs in regular GE-Proton; either way even if installing shit to make other shit work took me ~1h I know you consolegays really have some kind of mental problem so don't worry it's plug and play in SeX you will miss out on humble bundle, fanatical bundles, gg.deals and a bunch of emulators, on the upside you can play fifa and cod with no problem
I havent changed settings for any game on my Deck, its pretty plugin & play. There are some unsupported games you have to jump through a couple hoops to play like Thief, but other than that you might have to choose a configuration layout on some games if you dislike default controls, which is extremely simple.
>I heard you have to mess with the game settings on Steam Deck for the game to perform well
Most games will just work, but it takes 5 minutes of messing with game settings, refresh and TDP to make the difference between an entire extra hour of battery life while having nearly the same amount of graphical fidelity. If you are a plug n play consolegay too moronic and intimidated by that then yeah, I don't recommend the deck.
I have a PS5 for my OLED TV but I'd like something to play on the couch or in bed, although I don't really want to miss out on Starfield, Redfall and future Halo/Gears games.
I know that they can be played on Steam Deck too but chances are the performance won't be great?
Decently high sadly, the deck for a handheld is amazing (from DOOM eternal at good settings 60fps with mouse-like gyro aim and mods to pretty good switch emulation), but a game like starfield or the next halo may be too much.
though redfall will likely be good enough, with MS pretty open about encouraging deck support.

Shovelware shit

Xbone, at least my games work there lol
>100% sour grapes.
homie, the crew 2 doesn't nor, nor does dragon ball fighter z online and cod warzone.
Most of my steam library is unsupported on the steam deck.
>you can use windows
I'd rather not gamble with it to be honest. Looking at the reviews on it seems like a mixed bag and doesn't look like a great experience. I watched one video from linus tech tips and the drivers looked broken as crap.
And other guy destroyed his battery running windows on the steam deck.
It doesn't really look like a good experience, the drivers are probably crap or something.
It reminds me of the time I tried to run Linux on my laptop.
The battery of the thing just died and I had to get a new one.
>I watched one video from linus tech tips and the drivers looked broken as crap.
This is from 10 months ago when the drivers basically didn't exist. That hasn't been the case for a long time and you can keep the steam UI in windows now too.

What, how is it fud? I haven't seen a lot of reviews on windows for the Steam Deck but most of it looks hit and miss.

What. I barely use this site.
Honestly all I can say is take a chill pill or something. >muh crew muh dragonballz
And cod warzone, I Don play a lot of games but I really did hope they would work on the deck. I was honestly going to buy one in November but seeing that just put me on hold.

The newer video is from a month ago, and they haven't updated their drivers in 3 months or something
Either way it feels like a bad investment to buy it on windows support alone considering it looks every hit and miss.
Those vids are outdated (and i much prefer linux, so windows being bad is something id love to say), its mostly fine now.
Its certainly not as nice as steamOS, but its a fine experience.
though im going so sorry if this is the last reply.
I personally had a similar dilemma on what to get and chose the Deck just because it has access to more emulators for more systems, and access to a lot of PC exclusives, both obscure and old. Seeing Hi-Fi Rush run well on the Deck vindicated my decision.
the one you can upgrade
switch because i actually like playing games

How?
the Eck because it can play real minecraft and so many games xbawx sex won't
Xbox Series X. I’ve always been a plug & play guy. I heard you have to mess with the game settings on Steam Deck for the game to perform well
>set all settings to low or medium
>do minor tuning
are console gays this lazy they cannot change like 3 settings?
You’re a moron. Did you not read my post that says I’m a plug & play guy? Of course i’m that lazy and there are many others like me

ack on eck
Wondering this too, I have a PS5 and Switch currently
I can remote play my Xbox from my phone. I guess you can do similar with steam link app? But which is better performance?
Which has more games?
Which lets you use the controller you want with the most features?
Etc.
Even streaming from a deck has alot more features.
> Which has more games?
Shovelware shit
Xbone, at least my games work there lol
>live service trash good
>passion filled no name games bad
xtards
Series X has no games and the games i would play would be shit without gyro aim.

opinion dislocated
If its not on steamOS, you can use windows, if a game is not on series X, you're SOL.

Lets pretend that its' not moronic to compare console with a handheld. You can use game pass on deck, but you can't use steam on xbox.
